Abstract: An adaptive assistive and/or rehabilitative device may be configurable for use with another assistive device, such as a wearable assistive device. When the wearable assistive device is a robotic device such as an exoskeleton, the adaptive assistive and/or rehabilitative device may be transformed into a first configuration for charging or storing the exoskeleton, a second configuration for transport of the exoskeleton, a third configuration for assistance in donning of the exoskeleton by a user, and a fourth configuration for assisting the user while standing or walking with the exoskeleton.

A first filling space is formed between the supporting rod and the bag. The first filling space is filled with a weight material. The cloth cover is mounted around the core rod and seals the core rod. The cloth cover has a holding portion and two weight portions. The two weight portions are respectively formed at two ends of the holding portion. A second filling space is formed between the core rod and the holding portion. The second filling space is filled with the weight material. A respective third filling space is formed between the core rod and each one of the two weight portions.

Abstract: A weighted sock has a weight assembly at a portion of the sock. The weight assembly has a weight carrier. The weight carrier has a carrier space with a weight therein. The weight is configurable to take on a first shape by a force which also changes the shape or dimension of the weight carrier. The weight carrier, when having the changed shape or dimension, has a force of sufficient magnitude to reconfigure the weight into a second shape different from the first shape when the force which also changes the shape or dimension of the carrier is removed.

Abstract: An exercise machine has a main frame and a user support movably mounted relative to the main frame for movement between a start position and an end position during an exercise. At least one user engagement device is movably mounted relative to the main frame for engagement and actuation by a user during an exercise, and a connecting linkage translates movement of the user engagement device to movement of the user support. A lifting arm is movably mounted relative to the main frame and associated with at least one of the user support, user engagement device, and connecting linkage so as to move during an exercise. A load associated with the lifting arm provides exercise resistance.

Abstract: A bracket assembly includes a back plate with outer and inner sides and a pin opening extending therethrough. A clasp member has an extending portion and an encasing portion extending from the extending portion. The extending and encasing portions and the inner side of the body define a channel configured to receive a rack beam. A pin seated in the pin opening has a shank, and a head at the outer side of the back plate. The shank extends through the opening into the channel. The shank is configured to engage the rack beam within the channel. The head is welded to the outer side of the back plate. An extension member defines a support surface and includes pair of substantially J-shaped plates and a cover nested with the plates such that it forms the entire support surface and is substantially flush with sides of the substantially J-shaped plates.

Abstract: An exercise ball may provide two independent sections, a first separable section and a second separable section, that a user may utilize for weight training and mind-body exercises. The first separable section and the second separable section may be held by a user in opposite hands for weight training and other exercises. The exercise ball may be a Tai Chi ball that may include a plurality of polymagnets provided in an interior of the exercise ball that may keep the two separable sections together. The plurality of polymagnets may provide a push-release or twist-release attachment and detachment to attach and detach the sections.

Abstract: A barbell includes first and second bar ends being substantially straight and extending along a first longitudinal axis. A central bar is connected to the bar ends in an angle, and with a mid-portion protruding a first distance from the first longitudinal axis. First and second handles, are connected to at least the central bar and protrudes in an open area between the bar ends. First and second counterweights, protruding a second distance from the first longitudinal axis, substantially in an opposite direction relative the central bar. The first and second counterweights and the second distance are selected so as to weight-balance the central bar.

Abstract: A weight-lifting bar having a metal tubular member, a transparent plastic tubular member, a plurality of balls, and first and second elastomeric plugs is provided. The plurality of balls are disposed within the transparent plastic tubular member. At least a first ball of the plurality of balls is viewable through the transparent plastic tubular member when the first ball is proximate to an elongated opening of the metal tubular member. The first and second elastomeric plugs are coupled to the weight-lifting bar such that the plurality of balls are contained in the weight-lifting bar.

The support structures each include one or more platforms having an upper surface that is positioned above the base plane of the carriage.

The exercise machine monitoring and instruction system generally includes an exercise machine having a movable element that moves between a first position and a second position in a reciprocating manner, a sensor that detects a real-time position of the movable element, a processor in communication with the sensor to receive the real-time position data from the sensor related to a position of the movable element and a feedback device in communication with the processor that provides real-time instructions to the exerciser on how to adjust their workout to achieve a desired result.

Abstract: A cross country skiing exercise machine is disclosed. The machine has ski members slidingly mounted to a base frame and front and rear arm exercise units mounted towards the front and rear of the base frame, respectively. The front arm exercise unit has a front pair of flexible lines to be gripped by a user's hands to permit the user to reciprocally pull back on said front pair of flexible lines. The rear arm exercise unit has a rear pair of flexible lines having straps configured to be attached to the user's arms to permit the user to reciprocally pull forward on the rear pair of flexible lines. The front and rear arm exercise units are configured to apply a drag force to the front and rear pair of flexible lines, respectively. A rear leg exercise unit having flexible lines for mounting to the user's legs is also provided.

Abstract: The invention is embodied in an exercise system that can allow its user to counterbalance the effects associated with a predominantly sedentary lifestyle though a fitness device that comprises a combination of (a) supporting the lower body in a manner that permits a user's upper body to act as a third class lever with the user's hips operating as fulcrum and (b) engaging in resistance exercises with the upper body in a horizontal position, unsupported above the greater trochanter.

Abstract: A weight horn is supported on a bearing housing that slides along two vertical guide rails. The upper and lower ends of the vertical guide rails are connected to tubular sleeves that slide along horizontal guide rails, which are enclosed by a rectangular frame. A roller pad extends from the opposite side of the weight horn, perpendicular to the horizontal guide rails and over a platform containing an adjustable seat, calf support and foot pads. The weight lifter performs the movement by standing upright with his/her legs positioned between the calf support and foot pads, wrapping his/her arms around the roller pad, and squatting onto the seat. The combination of vertical and horizontal guide rails allows the weighted roller pad to travel a curved path downward and backward as the lifter descends into the squat position. The dual rail configuration for both the vertical and horizontal guide rails prevents jamming of the mechanisms if the weight lifter twists his/her torso during the squat.

Abstract: A Kegel muscle exercising apparatus includes various exercise programs that adaptively change depending on a user's exercise performance. This apparatus includes an insertable device for inserting into the body of a user, computer program code that contains exercise programs that specify operation of a stimulation mechanism by a controller, a stimulation mechanism that directs a user to contract her Kegel muscles according to an exercise program, a sensor that measures Kegel muscle contraction activity, and a controller that receives feedback from the sensor. This feedback comprises the results of an exercise program, and depending on the results, the apparatus can determine a different exercise program appropriate for the user. Following the different exercise programs allows a user to improve her Kegel muscle strength.

Abstract: A scoring method for an exercise system includes playing a course video and obtaining coach exercise data; obtaining learner exercise data by the wearable acceleration sensor; splitting the coach exercise data into multiple coach segments, in which each of the coach segments corresponds to multiple learner segments of the learner exercise data, and a portion of the learner segments overlap with each other; for each of the coach segments, performing a dynamic time warping algorithm according to the coach segment and the corresponding learner segments to obtain a learner segment having a smallest error and to calculate an exercise score; and displaying the exercise score.

Abstract: A method for providing activity data to a user for a workout session includes receipt of first activity data from a first activity sensor and receipt of second activity data from a second activity sensor during the workout session. A first parameter is generated for a workout attribute based on the first activity data received during a first time interval of the workout session, and a second parameter is generated for the workout attribute based on the second activity data received during a second time interval of the workout session. An aggregate parameter for the workout attribute is generated based on both the first parameter and the second parameter. The first activity data and the second activity data generated during the workout session are transmitted to a remote server where a third parameter for the workout attribute is generated.

Abstract: Computer implemented methods and systems for automated coaching and distribution of fitness plans is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a processor, a fitness related information from one or more clients in response to an initial questionnaire. The fitness related information includes at least meet details, a fitness goal, a fitness history, an exercise ability and a payment list. The method includes creating, by the processor, a plurality of arrays in an electronic document for each client of the one or more clients. The plurality of arrays is configured to store the fitness related information. The method includes processing, by the processor, the fitness related information automatically to generate a fitness plan for each client based on the plurality of arrays, and a set of predefined rules. The method further includes distributing, by the processor, the fitness plan automatically through a personal communication to each client.

Abstract: In a system configured to perform active target updating according to a rehabilitation action of a user, a first rehabilitation action of the user is detected, and an avatar image that moves in accordance with the detected first rehabilitation action and a target image representing a target of the first rehabilitation action are displayed. The rehabilitation ability of the user is evaluated by comparing the first rehabilitation action and a target position represented by the target image, and the target position is updated in accordance with an evaluation result. Furthermore, a second rehabilitation action of the user during the first rehabilitation action is detected, and the rehabilitation ability is evaluated based on both the first rehabilitation action and the second rehabilitation action.

Abstract: In a golf ball having a core and a cover of at least one layer, the outermost layer of the cover is formed of a resin composition that includes (A) 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin, and (B) 1 to 30 parts by weight of a compound having a fluorene skeleton, or a derivative thereof, and the resin composition has a melt flow rate of at least 3.0 g/10 min. This resin composition for golf balls has an improved injection-moldability and thus enables the ball to achieve both a reduced spin rate and a good durability (scuff resistance).

Abstract: A method of making a ball bat may include forming a bat frame with a handle and an inner barrel structure, providing spacer elements extending radially outwardly from the inner barrel structure, and forming a barrel shell having a main barrel and a tapered section. An inner diameter in the tapered section may be equal to an outer diameter of a first one of the spacer elements. The method may include mechanically locking the barrel shell to the bat frame by passing the handle through the barrel shell and moving the barrel shell toward the inner barrel structure until the barrel shell contacts the first one of the spacer elements. A gap is maintained between an outer diameter of the inner barrel structure and the barrel shell. The barrel shell may deflect during a hit to create a trampoline effect, while the inner barrel structure limits the deflection.

Abstract: A three-dimensional throwing game target apparatus includes platforms, bridge members, connectors and stanchions. The platforms include an outer wall and a platform receptacle ring that is adapted to receive a cup. Each of the bridge members include at least one bridge receptacle ring and a plurality of elongated girders extending outwardly from the bridge receptacle ring. The bridge members and the platforms may be detachably connected to one another in a horizontal plane. The stanchions are assembled to the platforms to support the receptacle rings at a plurality of different heights. Abstract: A basketball shooting training device includes a main frame, a first vertical rail structure having vertical and oblique rails, a first sliding base, and a first basketball imitation member. The first vertical rail structure is disposed on the main frame. The first sliding base is slidably disposed on the first vertical rail structure for sliding along the first vertical rail structure. The first basketball imitation member is connected to the first sliding base. When the first basketball imitation member is propped and then propelled upwardly by a user's hand, the first sliding base slides from a first initial position on the vertical rail to a shooting position on the oblique rail for guiding the user's hand to complete a set shot along the first vertical rail structure.

The striking portion may be a padded plate and the mounting portion may be a collar that may mount to the vertical frame member of a squat rack. The energy-absorbing portion may be an insert that slides into the barrel of a hollow sleeve in which a spring is disposed. The sleeve may have slots in the top and bottom for bolts or pins, which are inserted therethrough for attachment to the insert, to define the longitudinal limits of the insert's extension.

Abstract: This invention released a ball training machine for athletes. This machine is based on the principle of flywheel energy storage and flywheel ball batting. The flywheel is driven by the external rotor motor and rotates along the center shaft. The machine consists of the all parts include convey pipe, launching pipe, drop pipe and ball collection funnel to perform all the actions from ball collection to the ball launch. The push lever in the machine cooperates with the convex ramp and convex and coordinate the ball in position and ball batting. The damp ring in the machine will make the ball spin in any direction.

Abstract: The subject invention provides a snowboard that is propelled over the snow by a battery powered motor/wheel array. The preferred embodiments include a pair of motor/wheel arrays disposed on both sides of the board, on which are fitted specialized snow propellers designed for various snow conditions. The motor and wheel array are attached to the snowboard with a universal mounting plate, which utilizes any snowboard's standard binding mounting holes or channels.

Abstract: A snowboard, snowboard assembly, and snowboard accessory for converting a snowboard into training snowboard. There is a board and a pivot member/strip. The pivot member/strip is elongated member protruding from the underside of the board along the main axis of the board. The pivot member/strip has a base width that is greater than a width of the flat bottom of the strip and greater than a height of the strip. The flat bottom of the strip is flanked by beveled edges along each side and at the front and back. The strip is either integral to the board or is couple thereto by a coupling structure (e.g. adhesive, binding, snaps, clips). The strip has a trapezoidal cross-section. Flanking beveled edges may have an acute angle with respect to the base and/or an obtuse angle with respect to the flat bottom surface.

Abstract: A binding for snowboard includes a base structure and a heel support pivotally mounted to the base structure for movement between an open position for allowing a user to insert or remove their boot from the binding and a closed position for securing the users boot in the binding. An adjustable foot strap is attached to the base structure and a tensioning system is attached to the heel support and the adjustable foot strap for applying a tensioning force to the adjustable strap when the heel support is moved to the closed position and for releasing the tensioning force from the adjustable foot strap when the seal support is moved to the open position.

Abstract: A support assembly for use with snow sports boards includes a base configured to be attached to the snow sports board. A frame has a first portion extending downward and a second portion extending rearward from the first portion. A seat is mounted on the second portion of the frame. A shock absorber extends between the base and the first portion of the frame. During use, the support assembly is configured to support a rider sitting on the seat in a face-forward position with the rider's knees vertically below and forward of the rider's hips.

Abstract: A self-propelled, one-wheeled vehicle may include a suspension system configured to provide arcuate, generally vertical motion of a board relative to an axle of a central wheel assembly when the vehicle encounters obstacles and bumps on a riding surface. Illustrative suspension systems may include a shock absorber and a swingarm that couple the wheel assembly to the board.

Abstract: An inline skate frame and axle assembly includes a frame having single sidewall that mounts a plurality of outwardly-extending axle assemblies. The sidewall has a wheel-mounting portion, a forward attachment portion and a rearward attachment portion. A forward attachment member includes a leg that extends outwardly from the sidewall between wheels on the skate, and a first attachment plate that cooperatively with the first attachment portion is configured to attach a skate base. A similar rearward attachment member comprises a leg and a second attachment plate that cooperatively with the second attachment portion is configure to attach the skate base. In embodiments the axle assemblies are rotationally locked to the sidewall, and include a cap member rotationally locked to the axle to prevent wheel rotation from loosening and wheel retaining connector.

The bowling lane conditioning machine has a drive mechanism for moving the conditioning machine along a bowling lane, a fluid storage tank that stores a conditioning fluid; a dispensing assembly for dispensing the conditioning fluid about the bowling lane; and a pump for moving the conditioning fluid along a flow path between the at least one fluid storage tank and the dispensing assembly. The conditioning machine further includes contaminant sensing assembly positioned along the flow path of the conditioning fluid for detection of one or more contaminants in the conditioning fluid.
