Abstract: A safety device for installation in a fluid transfer system includes an adapter having a front opening and a rear opening for directional flow of water therethrough, and a funnel-shaped flange surrounding the front opening for directing fluid flow through the adapter in a laminar flow with less turbulence. In one embodiment, the adapter is installed within a coupler sleeve for joining two pipe sections together to thereby improve fluid flow through the pipe in a fluid transfer system, while reducing vacuum pressure. In another embodiment, the adapter is fitted with a protective cap wherein the combined adapter and protective cap function as a standalone safety device to prevent entrapments and mitigate eviscerations. In still another embodiment, the adapter is fitted within a pump strainer basket to improve flow and reduce turbulence at the pump of the fluid transfer system.

Abstract: A filter system for liquid media has a filter housing with housing pot and housing cover. The housing pot has a drainage channel with bottom-side drainage opening. A bottom end disk of a filter element has a closure element arranged off-center to a longitudinal filter element axis. The closure element, in predetermined installation position of the filter element, extends seal-tightly across or into the drainage opening. The bottom end disk has a cutout corresponding with a positioning aid of the housing pot. By screwing on the housing cover, the filter element moves with the housing cover axially toward the drainage opening and rotates until positioning aid and cutout engage and lock the filter element relative to the housing pot in a predetermined rotational position where the closure element is axially aligned with the drainage opening. The filter element moves with the housing cover axially into the predetermined installation position.

Abstract: A kneading state determination system includes a kneading unit and a determination unit. The kneading unit kneads a kneading material, and transmits a kneading state value indicating a kneading state to the determination unit. Based on the kneading state value transmitted from the kneading unit, the determination unit determines kneading of the kneading material in the kneading unit in accordance with a preset determination condition. The determination condition includes a determination period and a state value range. The state value range is set as a range for the kneading state value. The determination period is a partial period of a period from start to completion of the kneading in the kneading unit.
