When molded, productivity is high due to a short cycle time, there is almost no orientation, and an excellent flexural modulus is exhibited.

    Abstract: A light weight composite thermally insulating sheet is comprised of down insulation mixed with binding fibers and plant-based material fibers. The plant-based material fibers maintain their original state during heat treatment to bind the core material together. As the binding fibers soften, they bind together at their crossing and also attach to the plant-based material fibers which remain in their original state creating an inner bonded support fiber structure made of plant-based material fibers and binding fibers. This fiber structure maintains the loft in the core by resisting to heat deformation of the binder material during the heat treatment to reduce compression of core material. The plant-based material fibers also act as wicking conductors to conduct moisture out of the down material and providing a faster drying of the thermally insulating sheet. Carbon fibers may be added to the core mixture of the scrim sheets, if used, may be formed of charcoal yarn to absorb odors.

    Abstract: A paperless transfer printing method includes the following steps: (a) printing, by a printing machine, aqueous ink onto a transfer printing temporary carrier in a set pattern, wherein a surface of the transfer printing temporary carrier is made of an elastic polymer material and a surface tension of the aqueous ink is less than the critical surface tension of the transfer printing temporary carrier; (b) drying the to-be-transferred pattern on the transfer printing temporary carrier; (c) wetting the transfer printing temporary carrier by using an aqueous surface tension increasing liquid; and (d) separating the aqueous solution or the aqueous dispersion liquid from the transfer printing temporary carrier at a tight-contact position between the transfer printing temporary carrier and the fabric, so that an aqueous ink dye is transferred onto the fiber of the fabric.

    Abstract: Provided are purified cannabis hurd fiber, and refined cannabis hurd fibers, and methods for preparing cellulosic fiber from the hurd of cannabis plants. The methods include decorticating the bast from the hurd, at least partially fibrillating the hurd fibers, abiotic retting of the hurd fibers, and exposing the hurd fibers to synthetic sunlight and ozonation to produce a purified hurd fiber. The purified cannabis hurd fibers are substantially free of bast fiber, and have little to no pectin. Also provided are compositions containing the cannabis hurd fiber or refined cannabis hurd fiber, including packaging products, molded pulp cartons such as egg cartons, smoking papers, paper packaging materials, single ply or multi-ply paperboard, absorbent paper products and ink receptive papers.
