  • Patent number: 10417834
Abstract: Devices, methods, and products are disclosed for collecting tolls for the use of traffic areas which are subject to tolls by a vehicle. To book an authorization for the use of one out of several alternatively usable traffic areas by a vehicle in sufficient time, first position data of the vehicle are associated with alternatively usable traffic areas with regard to the imminent potential use thereof. Use authorizations are booked for the traffic areas. The use of these authorizations can be voided, with the exception of the one that was verifiably used, insofar as second position data of the vehicle are associated with the same traffic areas with respect to a verified non-use.

  • Patent number: 10417839
Abstract: A vehicle assessment analyzer is in communication with a vehicle, via the vehicle network computer and the vehicle communication bus. The vehicle assessment analyzer obtains the vehicle VIN from the vehicle and transmits the VIN to a vehicle assessment analytics server. The vehicle assessment analytics server then determines assessment readings to be performed on the vehicle, such as individual electronic sensors therein, to generate an overall vehicle assessment as compared to other vehicles of similar make, model, etc. These assessment readings are sent to the vehicle assessment analyzer which obtains the associated data and transmits the data back to the server for generation of the overall vehicle assessment. The assessment readings may query the vehicle network computer via standard assessment readings, and heightened assessment readings, and may also query the vehicle communications bus directly thereby obtaining any desired electronic information available from the vehicle.

Abstract: Method for predicting an operational malfunction in an aircraft equipment, the parameters of the equipment being monitored and recorded during flights by measurements or signals, the aircraft further including an equipment breakdown detection unit, the breakdown also being recorded in the aircraft memory. During maintenance phases between flights, measurements and breakdowns are retrieved on a programmable computer to form a database, and (a) a data analysis program is executed, a first time, to determine a set of pairs of parameter pairs whose signals develop positively over time in a correlated manner and in the absence of a breakdown, and (b) once the set of parameters pairs has been determined, a detection program is executed to calculate correlations for the pairs in the determined set of pairs and, when the calculated correlation value of one pair for a given flight falls below a predetermined positive detection threshold, a malfunction is reported.

  • Patent number: 10417847
Abstract: In a medication administration system, in-room medications cabinets have at least one locked compartment for each patient in the room. The nurse or other caregiver opens the respective compartment by activating a personal electronic device (PED), e.g., cell phone, using a fingerprint or other identifying characteristic, and generates a 2-D bar coded symbol to display on the screen of the PED. The symbol includes the date/time that access was requested. The authorization code, facility code, and date and time are combined and encrypted. The bar-coded symbol is displayed to a reader on the cabinet, which decodes the bar coded symbol, decrypts the contents, and unlocks the patient-specific compartment, but only if the actual time is within a short interval, e.g., 30 seconds, of the date/time in the bar coded symbol. Alternatively, an NFC capability can be employed rather than a bar-coded symbol.
