Abstract: A method of manufacturing an agricultural tillage disk blade includes providing a substantially circular-shaped disk body with an outer peripheral edge and a central opening that defines a rotation axis, the outer body being disposed within a first plane. A plurality of waves is formed in a predetermined pattern in the outer peripheral edge of the disk body, and the outer peripheral edge is sharpened to form a plurality of teeth such that at least a portion of the sharpened outer peripheral edge is disposed within a second plane that is parallel to the first plane and substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis. The method also includes machining a plurality of relief portions in each of the plurality of waves at a location radially inward of the plurality of teeth, and heat treating the disk body after the sharpening and machining steps.

Abstract: A seeding device system is presented for use with helicopters and other vehicles. The system includes a bulk seed container, a feed tube that connects the seed container to a metering device that precisely meters out seed, a flow control system that controls operation of the metering device, and a blower connected to a venturi that blows the seed outward from the helicopter. When seed is metered out of the metering device, the seed is sucked into the venturi and blown outward. The seed container is held in the back seat or cargo area of the helicopter and the blower, venturi and metering device are positioned exterior to the helicopter. This arrangement does not adversely affect the operational characteristics or aerodynamic properties of the helicopter. In addition, all components of the system are rigidly connected to the helicopter thereby increasing safety and control of the helicopter.

In locations where currents are minimal in these deeper layers, the lateral displacement of the warmer water introduced by wave-inertial pumps will be minimized. Abstract: A gravity irrigation system includes a distribution piping having apertures to distribute water to a field, and a valve located upstream of the distribution piping. The valve is configured to limit a pressure of the water being delivered to the distribution piping. The system also includes a sump configured to receive the water at a lowest elevation of the field, a depth sensor disposed within the sump, and a return pump disposed at least partially within the sump and configured to move the water to an elevated portion of the field. The system also includes a motor configured to drive the return pump, and a power source coupled to a variable frequency drive. The variable frequency drive is configured to power the motor and control a motor speed proportionately to an indication of the depth sensor.
