Abstract: A spout fitment has a spout for dispensing liquid into or out of a flexible container, the spout passing through a base portion that is connected to attachment ribs for sealing to the flexible container. The attachment ribs can contain a sharp edge to facilitate improved adhesion of the flexible container to the attachment ribs of the spout fitment. The attachment ribs can also contain a beveled edge that can provide mechanical support to the attachment sites between the spout fitment and the flexible container. Other embodiments can include a base portion having lateral attachment walls containing a series of elevated ridges that provide extended areas of focal contact between the spout fitment and the flexible container. The base portion can include one or more pockets for holding and manipulating the spout fitment while it is attached to the flexible container.

Abstract: A dispensing closure for a product container includes a plastic closure body having a top wall with a dispensing opening which is arranged in line with a dispensing passage of the container. The closure includes a self-closing valve embodied as a membrane made of a plastic foil. The membrane has a valve portion, which in use can assume an open position under influence of product pressure, and an attachment portion surrounding the valve portion. The attachment portion of the valve is sealed to an annular support surface integrally formed in the closure body along the periphery of the opening or being formed on a plastic annular insert part that is connected to the closure body along the periphery of the opening. The seal between the attachment portion and the support surface includes an annular groove and an inner annular seal zone adjoining the annular groove on a radial inner side.

Abstract: Various embodiments of containers are described having a body with a base and sidewall that defines a hollow interior portion of the body. A separable band can be affixed to the body to provide an attachment mechanism for a cap to be coupled with the body. An insert can be disposed between the body and cap to provide a liquid-tight and air-tight seal when the cap is coupled with the body. Preferably, the insert is dual layer with a layer of foam that compresses when the cap is coupled with the body.

Abstract: A pharmacy container comprising a bottle and a closure is described herein. The bottle includes a body, a neck, stops on the neck defining a lug retention area. The body defines a storage chamber therein. The neck extends away from the body and defines an opening to the chamber of the body. The neck includes threads extending around an outside surface of the neck. The stops extend from a bottom of a first thread toward the body, the stops defining the lug retention area. The closure is secured over the opening and around the neck. The closure includes a lug configured to interface with the thread and engage with the lug retention area to retain the closure in place over the opening. Abstract: A one-way valve integrated into a lamination of the kind used as a membrane seal for coffee containers and the like. The valve comprises a top layer, a substrate and a fluid polyol film. The top layer and the substrate are adhered together by an adhesive disposed between the top layer and the substrate. The adhesive defines a boundary of a valve chamber in which the top layer and the substrate are not permanently adhered to each other. The film enhances the adhesiveness of the top layer to the substrate in the area of the valve chamber so that gas inside the container does not escape until the internal pressure reaches a minimum value.

The second lid face has a rim configured to attach the lid to a storage bin. On the first lid face and extending to the second lid face is a plurality of apertures to provide airflow through the lid. The safe can be locked shut by rotating the cap to predetermined positions.

Abstract: Generally, the present disclosure relates to a carton for tissue products comprising a carton and an overwrapped compressed stack of tissues, such as facial tissues. The compressed carton can significantly reduce costs associated with shipping such low density products. The overwrapped compressed stack of tissues has a tear strip, which permits the compressed stack of tissues to expand, releasing the compression of the tissue stack and allowing the tissues to be dispensed normally.

Abstract: A multi-compartment food package is disclosed including a food bowl to hold a first food (e.g., hummus) and an independent second food container to hold a second food (e.g., a topping to be added to the first food). In one embodiment, a peel-off film is removably attached across the first food container below the top thereof. A lid is detachably connected to the first food container to surround the second food container. The lid has an annular container retaining groove formed therein and extending downwardly therefrom towards the first food container. The second food container is surrounded and frictionally engaged by the annular container retaining groove, whereby the second food container is removably attached to and suspended downwardly from the lid to be received through the top of the first food container and seated on the peel-off film located below the top thereof.

Abstract: An insulating device can include an aperture having a waterproof closure which allows access to the chamber within the insulating device. The closure can help prevent any fluid leakage into and out of the insulating device if the insulating device is overturned or in any configuration other than upright. The closure also prevents any fluid from permeating into the chamber if the insulating device is exposed to precipitation, other fluid, or submersed under water. This construction results in an insulating chamber impervious to water and other liquids when the closure is sealed.

Alternatively, the semi-rigid containment structure may be integrally formed of a roto-molded plastic material. The racking system has horizontally extending storage layers in each of which multiple storage positions are located and alternating vertically juxtaposed transfer layers in which automated guided vehicles are movable in at least two directions that are at right angles to each other to place, relocate and retrieve boxes to and from storage positions by vertical movement of the boxes into and out of storage positions in storage layers located above or below a transfer layer. The storage positions have associated with them storage guides for guiding boxes into and out of the storage positions and support arrangements for supporting the boxes in their storage positions.

The movable roller has a rotary axle having two ends mounted through bearings to position-adjustable bearing seats, which are coupled to hollow bearing seat bases mounted to the sidewalls of the machine body. The position-adjustable bearing seats are attachable to the hollow bearing seat bases at different locations so that an axle distance between the rotary axle of the fixed roller and the rotary axle of the movable roller is changed for adjustment of tightness of the conveyor belt.

Abstract: A vacuum holder for articles, a combination of a vacuum holder and an article, a system for holding and conveying articles, and a method for holding and conveying articles are disclosed. The vacuum holder includes a main body having a surface and an air passageway leading to the surface, and a valve joined to the main body and in fluid communication with the air passageway. An article can be placed adjacent to the surface of the main body, and a vacuum can be drawn through the air passageway to hold the article to the vacuum holder. The valve maintains the vacuum between the article and the vacuum holder without being connected to a vacuum source, until it is desired to release the article from the vacuum holder.

Abstract: A directional discharge wing pulley having a plurality of wings that discharge material in a single direction while properly tracking the conveyor belt. The directional discharge wing pulley may include a plurality of directional discharge wings, which are generally angled in a single or primarily in single direction across the entire face of the pulley. When pulley is operated a reverse rotation direction, the conveyor belt continues to properly track and the material is discharged in the opposite direction. The wings may have bends to create flat sections, or formed in a multiple arc pattern to create smoother changes in geometry or increased wing angle near the ends of the pulley, while generally maintaining a single direction wing through the entire pulley. Strengthening rib bends may be added near the end of a straight wing to add rigidity reducing the likelihood of wing fold over. The wings may include secondary wings, for example, in a Herringbone pattern.
