Abstract: Vehicle lamp controllers, methods for controlling vehicle lamps and vehicle lamp systems including the lamp controller and the lamps can be configured to detect whether a traveling road is a straight road or a curved road. When the traveling road is the curved road, the lamp system can direct light distribution patters from an initially light distribution angle along the traveling road with reference to a first threshold. When the traveling road is the straight road, the lamp system can direct light distribution patters from the initially light distribution angle along the traveling road with reference to a second threshold, which is larger than the first threshold. The second threshold can be changed so as to maintain preferable light distribution patterns. Thus, the present invention can provide the vehicle lamp controllers, the controlling methods for the vehicle lamps and the vehicle lamp system to form the preferable light distribution patterns.

When the speed of the vehicle is compared to an expected speed of the vehicle given various operating conditions, e.g., the output of the vehicle's engine (engine RPM) or motor (motor rotation), is slower than expected, it is assumed that the vehicle is towing a load. When the vehicle is towing a load and is also traveling at a speed that is substantially slower than the flow of traffic, a current speed limit, etc., a determination can be made to automatically activate the vehicle's hazard lights. Alternatively, even if the vehicle is towing a load, but is traveling at a speed that does not warrant activation of the vehicle's hazard lights, the hazard lights may be automatically deactivated.

Abstract: An autonomous flip-up license plate mount for motorcycles that improves the aesthetics of a motorcycle while ensuring a license plate is properly displayed during use of the motorcycle. The mount includes a first mounting plate, a second mounting plate, an automatic pivoting mechanism, and a hinge mechanism. A first end of the first mounting plate is connected along the hinge mechanism. Additionally, the hinge mechanism is connected along a rear surface of the second mounting plate, allowing for relative rotation about a main axis of the hinge mechanism. The automatic pivoting mechanism is a motorized system used to rotate the second mounting plate about the hinge mechanism. Accordingly, the automatic pivoting mechanism is operatively coupled between the first mounting plate and the second mounting plate. Thus, activation of the automatic pivoting mechanism positions the mount into either a functional configuration or a collapsed configuration.

Abstract: A method for controlling two serially disposed relays that switch a load with two different safety levels depending on the driving situation in a vehicle includes querying state information that includes movement state information and/or coasting operation information of the vehicle, determining a safety level of the two different safety levels depending on the driving situation, using the state information, detecting a relay of the two serially disposed relays using a balancing rule when the safety level determined in step b) represents a lower safety level of the two safety levels, switching the selected relay into a non-conductive state and keeping the further relay in a conductive state when a first request signal for switching off the load is received, and switching the selected relay into a conductive state when a second request signal for switching on the load is received.
