Abstract: Generally sun shades shield the front, side or rear windows of a vehicle separately. A typical sedan would need 6 shades. A typical pick up would need 4 shades. To shield a single seat from the sun using the current invention would take 2 shades. Most sun shades designed for the side window of a vehicle leave spaces on the window unprotected allowing sunlight through into the inside of the vehicle. This invention cuts the number of shades required In half and protects more of the vehicle. Protecting the driver's side of the vehicle would require one shade opposed to two. Protecting the passenger's side of the vehicle would require one shade opposed to two. Protecting the entire front of the vehicle would require two shades opposed to three. This invention also provides greater coverage than the traditional sun shades. Traditional sun shades typically leave the edges of the side windows unprotected.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating an operating system in which an operating action of a user is detected in a detection region of a detection unit, feedback data are generated using the detected operating action and transmitted to a feedback device, and a haptically-perceptible output signal is output in a transmission region by the feedback device using the feedback data. The transmission region and the detection region are arranged at a distance from each other. The invention furthermore relates to an operating system with a detection unit that has a detection region in which an operating action of a user is detectable, a control unit by means of which feedback data can be generated using the detected operating action, and a feedback device to which the feedback data can be transmitted. In this case, the feedback device has a transmission region in which a haptically-perceptible output signal can be output using the feedback data.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device obtains sensor data indicative of three dimensional (3-D) orientations of primary and secondary wireless power transfer (WPT) charging coils. The secondary coil is mounted to a vehicle and the primary coil provides charge to the secondary coil during charging. The device detects misalignment between the primary and secondary WPT coils based on the sensor data. The device determines a coil alignment correction to offset the detected misalignment. The device sends control commands to one or more actuators to implement the coil alignment correction by moving one or more of the coils, either directly (e.g., via directly-coupled actuators) or indirectly (e.g., via the suspension of a vehicle).

Abstract: A positioning system includes a positioning-device, a second-transceiver, and one or more controller-circuits. The positioning-device determines a position of a vehicle moving proximate a power-transfer-zone. The positioning-device includes a first-transceiver transmitting signals indicative of the position relative to the power-transfer-zone. The second-transceiver is installed on the vehicle and receives the signals from the first-transceiver. The one or more controller-circuits are in communication with the positioning-device, the first-transceiver, the second-transceiver, and the vehicle. The positioning-device associates with the vehicle when the second-transceiver is within a sensing-range of the first-transceiver thereby directing the vehicle into the power-transfer-zone.

Abstract: A control method for an electric vehicle controls braking force when the accelerator operation amount is less than a prescribed value and controls drive force when the accelerator operation amount is at least a prescribed value. The electric vehicle control method estimates disturbance torque that acts on the motor as a resistance component relating to gradient; and executes correction whereby the braking force or the drive force is increased/decreased on the basis of the disturbance torque estimated value, such that the resistance component is negated. A determination is made regarding whether or not the accelerator operation amount is a partial equivalent amount and, if at least either the accelerator operation amount on a downhill road is greater than the partial equivalent amount or the accelerator operation amount on an uphill road is less than the partial equivalent amount, the correction amount is reduced.
