  • Patent number: 10525267
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems, methods, and devices for closed loop deep brain stimulation. In particular, a neural signal is measured and provided to software. The software includes a feature generator and a brain network model that takes the neural signal and estimates other neural signals that are not directly measured, and operates as a model of the brain. The software determines a stimulation signal to be sent to stimulating electrodes. Estimated signals by the brain network model are continuously compared to actual signals from the brain. The closed loop feedback system advantageously allows for electrical stimulation levels and patterns to be continuously updated while delivered to a patient.

  • Patent number: 10525270
Abstract: According to some methods, for example, preprogrammed in a microprocessor element of an implantable cardiac pacing system, at least one of a number of periodic pacing threshold searches includes steps to reduce an evoked response amplitude threshold for evoked response signal detection. The reduction may be to a minimum value measurable above zero, for example, as determined by establishing a ‘noise floor’. Alternately, amplitudes of test pacing pulses and corresponding post pulse signals are collected and reviewed to search for a break, to determine a lower value to which the evoked response threshold may be adjusted without detecting noise. Subsequent to reducing the threshold, if no evoked response signal is detected for a test pulse applied at or above a predetermined maximum desirable pulse energy, an operational pacing pulse energy is set to greater than or equal to the maximum desirable in conjunction with a reduction in pacing rate.

  • Patent number: 10525309
Abstract: Golf balls having a multi-layered core made of a foamed composition are provided. The core assembly preferably includes a foam inner core (center) and surrounding outer core layer. Preferably, a polyurethane foam composition is used to form the foam center. The core layers have different hardness gradients and specific gravity values. The foamed inner core assembly includes a geometric center, outer surface (skin), and thermal barrier layer that helps protect the foamed center region from the negative effects of high temperatures used during the ball-manufacturing process. Non-foamed thermoset materials such as polybutadiene rubber may be used to form the thermal barrier layer. The foam cores have good resiliency, thermal stability, and durability over a wide temperature range. The ball further includes a cover that may be multi-layered.
