Abstract: A method for fastening a rail of an elevator system to a bearing element fixed in an elevator shaft utilizes a clamp set having a clamp and a spacer. The clamp is arranged on a side part of a rail foot arranged on the bearing element whereby the clamp connects to the bearing element in a fastening zone of the clamp and a contact zone of the clamp is situated on a bearing side on an upper face of the side part. The spacer defines a mounting distance between the contact zone and the bearing side such that the clamp is partly elastically and plastically deformed in the fastening zone when connected. The spacer is then at least partially removed so that a distance between the contact zone and the bearing side is reduced.

Abstract: A tension member verification system of an elevator system includes one or more identifier elements located at the tension member. The one or more identifier elements include one or more configuration parameters of the tension member. A detector is positioned and configured to verify presence of the one or more identifier elements, and is configured to read the one or more configuration parameters of the tension member. An elevator system controller is operably connected to the detector and is configured to compare the detected one or more configuration parameters to stored configuration parameters stored at the elevator system controller, and take one or more actions in operation of the elevator system based on the result of the comparison.

Abstract: Elevator systems and methods are provided. The systems include an elevator car including an elevator car door interlock device operable to open and close elevator car doors and a plurality of landing doors located at landings, each landing door including a landing door interlock device operable to open and close a respective landing door. Each landing door interlock device is engageable by the elevator car door interlock device to operate the elevator doors. An elevator component inspection system having a detector to monitor the interlock devices obtains inspection data associated with the interlock devices. A control unit is configured to analyze the inspection data. The component inspection system captures images of the interlock devices using the detector, performs a database inquiry comparing the captured image against a database of interlock device states, and determines a state of the interlock devices.
