  • Patent number: 10589806
Abstract: A trailer lock can be used as an anti-theft device to secure a mating feature of a trailer, such as a king pin, against unauthorized hookups by tractors. The trailer lock can include a base plate for mounting on a wall of the trailer; a swing bar pivotally connected to the base plate; and an engagement bar pivotally connected to the swing bar, which engagement bar includes an engagement feature, such as a ring, capable of fitting to the mating feature of the trailer. When the engagement feature is fitted to the mating feature of the trailer (for example, when a ring is placed over a king pin), it can prevent the mating feature from engaging a corresponding mating feature of a tractor, such as a fifth wheel.

  • Patent number: 10589807
Abstract: A paving machine for spreading, leveling and finishing concrete having a main frame, center module, bolsters laterally movably, and a crawler track associated with respective aft and forward ends of the bolsters. A bolster swing leg for each crawler track supports an upright jacking column. A worm gear drive permits rotational movements of the crawler track and the jacking column. A hinge bracket is interposed between each swing leg and a surface of the bolsters to enable pivotal movements of the swing leg. A length-adjustable holder engages the pivot pin on the hinge bracket and pivotally engages the swing leg. The holder permits pivotal motions of the swing leg in its length-adjustable configuration and prevents substantially any motion of the swing leg in its fixed-length configuration. A feedback loop cooperates with transducers keeping the crawler tracks position. The paving machine can be reconfigured into a narrowed transport configuration.

Abstract: Endless vehicle tracks including a body having an outer surface formed of an elastomeric material displaying a series of ground engaging profiles longitudinally spaced along the outer surface, and an inner surface formed a urethane reinforcement material. The inner surface generally displays a series of longitudinally spaced guide-drive lugs for retaining the track on the vehicle and/or driving the vehicle. The urethane reinforcement defines the inner surface of the body. The urethane reinforcement may define wheel path regions of the body, and the urethane reinforcement may even form the guide-drive lugs. The endless vehicle track may further include a fabric reinforcement layer disposed beneath or upon the outer surface of the upper face of the guide-drive lugs. The urethane reinforcement is formed from an admixture including a castable urethane material liquid which fills a mold and hardens to form the urethane reinforcement. The mold also includes a metal reinforcement therein.

Abstract: A control method comprises at least one detection of activation of the pushing aid. When activation is detected, in the subsequent step a velocity of the electric vehicle and/or a constant starting torque are/is generated by actuation of the electric motor. The generated velocity of the pushing aid as a result of the actuation is dependent on the engaged transmission ratio of the gearshift. In order to adapt the velocity, the control method comprises sensing the current motor rotational speed of the electric motor and sensing the current velocity of the electric bicycle. The engaged transmission ratio is determined as a function of the sensed motor rotational speed and the sensed velocity. The adaptation of the velocity of the electric bicycle occurs in the subsequent step as a result of regulation of the electric motor as a function of the transmission ratio and the maximum velocity, which is not exceeded.
