Abstract: A fastener system that includes a fastener, a compression-limiting sleeve, and a retainer which generally retains the compression-limiting sleeve on the fastener. By providing that the compression-limiting sleeve is not staked to the fastener, existing technology can be used, and no extra staking processing step needs to be performed. The fastener may comprise a conventional metal threaded screw or bolt, possibly having a recess in its head for receiving a driver. Preferably, the compression-limiting sleeve is cold headed as opposed to being stamped, and preferably includes a counter bore which assures that an end of the retainer is below an end surface of the compression-limiting sleeve. Preferably, the retainer is formed of a thermoplastic elastomer or another suitable material.

The termination assembly comprises a plurality of umbilical elements extending from an umbilical and which pass through a bulkhead plate. The seated ball element has a spherical body through which an umbilical element passes. The ball element is seated in a cup member which allows the ball element to rotate through a large range of angles allowing it to be aligned with the umbilical element without the umbilical element needing to be manipulated or forced into position. The umbilical element can then be attached to the ball element which is supported by the cup member on the bulkhead. Abstract: A magnetic brake for a motor uses the magnetic force on the surface of a flux concentrating rotor to pull a flexible brake spring or friction sheet into friction contact with the rotor. An electromagnetic stator pulls the flexible brake spring or friction sheet away from the rotor when it is energized. The brake spring may be a variable thickness around the circumference in a radial flux motor or radially in an axial flux motor and is thicker near where it is fixed to the housing. The brake spring may be split so it can clamp down on the rotor symmetrically. The OD of the brake spring may be closer to the surrounding stator near the fixed section of the brake spring so the air gap to the brake stator is smaller and the gap to the rotor and the ID of the brake spring is larger to allow the brake stator to pull on this area with greater force initially when it is energized to disengage the brake.

When the screw shaft is rotated about an axis of the screw shaft while being subjected to the external force, the balls are displaced from positions under no load condition toward one side in an axial direction. A second helical groove of the nut includes a stopping member configured to prevent the balls from falling off from the second helical groove. A plurality of coil springs are arranged in series along the second helical groove. An angle in a circumferential direction occupied by each of the coil springs about the axis is 180 degrees or less when the coil springs are disposed in the second helical groove.

The barrier separates a first compartment and a second compartment within the housing. Each of the rotatable drive system component and the set of gears operable to rotate based on torque received from an engine. The rotatable drive system component is located in the first compartment. The set of gears is located in the second compartment. The lubrication system comprises a first lubrication subsystem and a second lubrication subsystem, which are, at least in part, independent from one another. The first lubrication subsystem is operable to lubricate the rotatable drive system component in the first compartment. The second lubrication subsystem is operable to lubricate the set of gears in the second compartment.
