Abstract: Time-series data indicating a temporal variation of an index, which indicates a usage state of each of resources that are used by multiple processes, is acquired, and an operation-data matrix including vectors is generated based on the time-series data such that each of the vectors indicates the time-series data at a predetermined time interval and includes as an element the index indicating the usage state of one of the resources at the predetermined time interval. A basis matrix including a predetermined number of basis vectors is generated by performing nonnegative matrix factorization on the operation-data matrix. Component values, which respectively correspond to the resources, indicated by each of the predetermined number of the basis vectors are extracted, and information on the extracted component values is output as usage states of the resources that are used by each of the multiple processes.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for enforcing constraints on data in a data processing system. The method comprises providing a set of constraints on the data. A first data update request may be received at the transactional engine and executes on the first dataset. A second data update request associated with the received data update request is determined and sent by the transactional engine to the analytical engine. The analytical engine executes the second data, resulting in a set of changes in the second dataset. The transactional engine commits the update of the first dataset before or after receiving the results of the checking of the set of constraints. The update on the first dataset is aborted by the transactional engine in response to receiving the results of the checking of the set of constraints, wherein the results indicate that the set of constraints are not met.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods and systems for processing of sequencing data streams. The system receives sequences from a sequencer and stores them as data records on a database. The sequences are associated with a counter indicative of a number of times the associated sequence has been sequenced. The system progressively receives a further sequence as streaming data from the sequence. While receiving the further sequence, the system matches the streaming data against the stored sequences to determine a matching score. Upon the matching score exceeding a matching threshold for one of the multiple sequences in the database, the system selects the one of the sequences in the database based on the matching score and stores the further sequence on non-volatile memory where the counter value associated with the selected sequence is below a saturation threshold. The system also terminates the receiving where the counter value is above the saturation threshold.

Each generator is designed to provide a metric value used to optimize performance of a specific data management feature for the storage subsystem. At any given point in time, the storage allocation unit has multiple up-to-date metric values available for managing the underlying data of the storage allocation unit by storage subsystems and storage management processes. Based on changing performance characteristics associated with the underlying data, a current metric value being used to manage the storage allocation unit can be dynamically switched to a different up-to-date metric value. Binary encoding compresses data, allowing many subrecords to be stored a single blob field of a database record. Retrieving chunks from storage reduces transfer time by reducing the size of data and the number of operations needed to retrieve all the subrecords. The database manager receives database access requests from a database application. Changes made to the database objects and committed by the application are written back to the persistent database as versioned delta records. In a subsequent session, loading the database from storage includes first loading the most recent snapshot record, then applying changes to the data stored in delta records. Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for personalizing new song suggestions for a user. A plurality of users provides thumbs up and thumbs down ratings for a pair of songs (song A and B). A first aggregate rating for song B is calculated based on ratings given to song A by all of the users that gave a like rating to song A. Similarly, a second aggregate rating is calculated for song B based on ratings given to song B by all users that gave a dislike rating to song A. Then a user that has not previously rated song B, supplies a rating for song A. A prediction is performed of how the user will rate song B based on the user's rating of song A. For example, the first aggregate rating for song B is used if the user rated song A positively.

Abstract: A method and system of graph feature extraction and graph classification based on adjacency matrix is provided. The invention first concentrates the connection information elements in the adjacency matrix into a specific diagonal region of the adjacency matrix which reduces the non-connection information elements in advance. Then the subgraph structure of the graph is further extracted along the diagonal direction using the filter matrix. Further, it uses a stacked convolutional neural network to extract a larger subgraph structure. On one hand, it greatly reduces the amount of computation and complexity, getting rid of the limitations caused by computational complexity and window size. On the other hand, it can capture large subgraph structure through a small window, as well as deep features from the implicit correlation structures at both vertex and edge level, which improves speed and accuracy of graph classification.

Abstract: A computing device displays a data visualization interface and receives user selection of a data source and a natural language command directed to the data source. The device forms a first intermediate expression according to a context-free grammar and a semantic model of data fields in the data source. In accordance with a determination that the first intermediate expression omits sufficient information for generating a data visualization, the device infers the omitted information associated with the data source using one or more inferencing rules based on syntactic and semantic constraints imposed by the context-free grammar. The device forms an updated intermediate expression, and translates the updated intermediate expression into database queries. It executes the database queries to retrieve data sets from the data source, then generates and displays a data visualization of the retrieved data sets.

Abstract: An e-commerce voice representation system is provided and generally includes a server, a database, and a customer computing device. The server may generate a hierarchical ontology to semantically represent user queries generated by the customer computing device. The server may receive from the customer computing device data representing an e-commerce user query. The server may parse the e-commerce user query based on syntactic dependencies between the words in the e-commerce user query and translating those dependencies into semantic relations between the words. The received e-commerce user query may be tagged with actions, entities, and properties of the hierarchical ontology. Identified products may be linked to conceptual classes of the hierarchical ontology. Syntactic dependencies between words of the e-commerce user query may then be determined, and a semantic representation of the e-commerce user query may be generated based on the syntactic dependencies and mapping rules.
