Abstract: A quick pressure reducer and cylinder valve for use with an SCBA includes a cylinder valve that connects to a pressure vessel, a pressure reduction assembly for reducing the pressure of breathing air provided by the pressure vessel, a probe, and an inlet/latch assembly. The probe includes a notch and a threadless probe tip, and the inlet/latch includes a corresponding receptacle and one or more latches adapted to fit into the notch to retain the probe in the receptacle. A pushbutton switch in the receptacle is triggered by insertion of the probe tip therein, thereby providing an electrical signal. Probes of different sizes may be used to correspond to different pressure capacities, and the inlet/latch assembly may be arranged either to permit the insertion of only one probe size or may be arranged to accept different sizes but to function differently based on the size of the probe. The latches are inoperable except at or below a nominal pressure.

Abstract: A fall restriction device is provided that includes a rope and a connector that has a rope connector base. A latch is retained by the rope connector base. The connector has a rope connector with an aperture and the rope is disposed through the aperture. The rope connector has an engaged position in which the rope connector is retained to the rope connector base. The rope connector is moved from the engaged position by being moved along the rope connector base and by being rotated relative to the rope connector base.

Abstract: A supply system for providing at least oxygen depleted air and water in a vehicle includes a catalytic converter, at least one hydrogen supply means, at least one air supply means, at least one outlet for oxygen depleted air, and a control unit coupled with the catalytic converter. The catalytic converter is couplable with the hydrogen supply means and is adapted for producing water under consumption of hydrogen from the at least one hydrogen supply means and oxygen. The catalytic converter is further couplable with the at least one air supply means for additionally producing oxygen depleted air. Further, the control unit is adapted for selectively operating the catalytic converter based on a demand of water and oxygen depleted air.

Abstract: A retractable wall mounted exercise rack system for providing an exercise rack that may be easily and compactly stored when not in use. The retractable wall mounted exercise rack system generally includes one or more brackets attached to a wall, a pair of support members, and a plurality of arms pivotally extending from the brackets and pivotally connecting to the support members. One or more actuators are connected between the brackets and the arms to assist in lifting the structure into a compact retracted position for storage.

Abstract: A magnetically-controlled damping device has a fixing disk, a rotating disk, a plurality of friction-proof sleeves, a plurality of brake shoes, a plurality of magnets, an elastic element, and an operating element. The rotating disk has a plurality of guiding rods sleeved by the friction-proof sleeves respectively. By adjusting a distance between the magnets and a rotating wheel, a damping value of the magnetically-controlled damping device can be adjusted. Moreover, since the friction-proof sleeves are between the guiding rods and the guiding grooves, the guiding rods do not wear out. The magnetically-controlled damping device can provide a more stable damping value and a longer service life.

A first cinch is coupled to the cover at the first open end and a second cinch is coupled to the cover at the second open end.

Abstract: Present invention discloses a performance training garment, particularly a whole-body performance training garment which in a single garment covers, essentially, the wearer's major portions such as torso, arms and legs. The garment body is incorporated with a series of inflatable bladders to provide external resistance to the wearers muscles. The body of the garment also includes a network of supply lines that is responsible for supplying an air inflation medium to the bladders. The inflation and deflation is controlled by a control device that has wearer operated interface. The performance training garment as disclosed herein provides the effect of exercising in a high-G environment by furnishing external resistance against which the wearer's muscles contracts.

Abstract: A treadmill includes a base frame, a treadmill belt, a plurality of bearing wheels, a bearing frame, and a limiting frame. The treadmill belt is rotatably installed on the base frame. The bearing wheel is mounted on an inner surface of the treadmill belt. Each bearing wheel is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane, and the bearing frame and the limiting frame are both mounted on the base frame. The bearing frame supports the bearing wheels of the upper section of the treadmill belt. The limiting frame is disposed on one side of the bearing wheel and abuts the bearing wheel. The treadmill has the advantages that the friction between the limiting frame and the bearing wheels can be reduced and can avoid sudden stop or sticking.

The driving member has a motor and a transmission member drivable by the motor. The motor is installed between the front rotating shaft and the rear rotating shaft and is located adjacent to the front rotating shaft. The transmission member is adapted for driving the front rotating shaft to rotate. The running belt winds around the front rotating shaft and the rear rotating shaft, and is drivable by the motor to rotate relative to the base. By installing the motor between the front rotating shaft and the rear rotating shaft, an overall length and size of the treadmill is reduced for minimizing storage space.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a method and apparatus for a wireless exercise monitoring system for interactively monitoring an aspect of exercise, sports, or fitness utilizing a wearable device, such as a watch, eyewear, or smart apparel. The device is equipped with, or connected to, a digital camera. Sensors integrated with, or wirelessly connected to, the wearable internet device record physiological data during exercise and data measuring the amount of exercise performed. The data and visual images from the camera are transmitted to one or more internet servers, and may be shared with other mobile internet devices.

Abstract: An athletic parameter measurement device worn by an athlete during an athletic activity session includes a housing which attaches to the athlete, a display, a processor associated with the display, and an athletic parameter measurement sensor. During the athletic activity, the device detects, using the sensor, a vertical jump height of the athlete, and displays, during the performance of the athletic activity session, a representation of the vertical jump height on the display.

Abstract: A swim training apparatus for use as a monofin for bilateral undulation power development. The apparatus includes a flexible, elongated member having a series of securing members, such as through-holes extending from the top surface of the elongated member through to its bottom surface, and fasteners configured and disposed to attach to the securing member, such as straps that can extend through the through-holes, to fasten the apparatus to a user's legs. A weight can be attached using similar attachments and fasteners to the apparatus to increase undulation during use.

A difference (H2?H0) between a Shore C hardness H2 at a surface of the outer layer and a Shore C hardness H0 at a central point of the inner layer is less than 35. Preferably, the butyl-based rubber is a polymer including an isobutylene unit and an isoprene unit, and a derivative thereof.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing golf balls having a core and a cover of at least one layer encasing the core includes the steps of producing a core by molding and vulcanizing a rubber composition containing (A) a base rubber, (B) an ?,?-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof, and (C) an organic peroxide; and heat-treating the core for 1 to 24 hours at between 175 and 300° C. Golf balls which undergo little energy loss and have a high initial velocity can be obtained by this method.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having an interior cavity and a front portion. A face portion is attached to the front portion of the body portion to enclose the interior cavity. The golf club head may further include a first filler material coupled to a portion of an inner wall of the body portion, and a second filler material between the first filler material and the face portion and coupled to the face portion. The first filler material has a greater coefficient of restitution (COR) than the second filler material, and the second filler material has a greater stiffness than the first filler material. Abstract: A golf club head is described having a body defining an interior cavity and comprising a heel portion, a toe portion, and a sole portion positioned at a bottom portion of the golf club head, and a crown positioned at a top portion. The body has a forward portion and a rearward portion. A face is positioned at the forward portion of the body. The face has a center face location and includes a center face characteristic time. An off-center location on the face is located at about ?40 mm in a heel direction away from the center face location. The off-center location has an off-center characteristic time of at least 80% of the center face characteristic time.

Abstract: A putter-type golf club head and method of manufacturing said golf club are herein disclosed. The putter has a body, a face surface, a rear surface, a sole surface, a crown surface, and a heel surface. To reduce the reflective glare off the crown surface and to improve the ease of alignment, the putter includes various curved boundaries between surfaces of the club head. Multiple sections of the crown connect with the heel surface through curved transition regions, which reflect the light differently than the crown surface and thus serve as alignment aids.

Abstract: A putter-type golf club head has a top portion, a bottom portion, a heel portion, a toe portion, and a striking face having a variably textured region. The variably textured region includes a central portion and an outer portion laterally spaced from the central portion towards one of the heel portion and the toe portion. The central portion has a material ratio of less than 20% at a cutoff height of 0.1 mm and the outer portion has a material ratio greater than that of the central portion at the cutoff height of 0.1 mm. Variation of the textured region provides consistent ball speed upon impact at different lateral positions of the striking face.

Abstract: Method of forming a fiber-reinforced composite by applying multiple layers of prepreg material at the same time such that the proportion of unidirectional fibers which are orientated in the performing direction are greater than the proportion of unidirectional fibers which are obliquely orientated relative to said performing direction. This method controls the presence of overlaps, non-overlaps or gaps between the adjacent turns of the winding, thus improving the quality of the tube. This method also permits a reduction of the manufacturing costs. This method further enables production of tubes in a continuous way with different mandrels arranged to follow each other in a sequence which lead to an improvement of the production rate.

Abstract: An improved golf club grip 10a, 10b, 10c with a well-defined and pronounced reminder rib 20a, 20b, 20c includes in one embodiment of the present disclosure a groove 32 positioned in the exterior surface 34 on each side of or surrounding a ridge 24a that extends lengthwise inside the body 14a of the grip 10a. When the golf grip 10a is installed on a golf club shaft 12, the groove 32 facilitates the flexing of the grip material for forming the reminder rib 20a. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, the grip 10b, 10c is provided with a raised portion 36 of a selected material in a select region on the grip 10b, 10c. When the golf grip 10b, 10c is installed on a golf club shaft 12, the raised portion 36 becomes the reminder rib 20b, 20c.

Abstract: A game playable on land or water is provided. The game may have a frame having a generally circular playing surface having a net and a plurality of legs attached to the frame. A plurality of buoys may be removably attached to the plurality of legs so that the game may float on water or the plurality of buoys may be removed from the legs so that the game may be played on land. A plurality of straps may connect the plurality of buoys to a centralized weighted anchor for balancing and stabilizing the game on water.

Abstract: Methods and systems for use in automating or assisting umpiring of a baseball or softball game are described herein. A location of a strike zone is determined based on video images of a batter standing next to home plate captured by a camera. Locations of a ball traveling towards the batter, and locations of the bat being held by the batter, are autonomously tracked using computer vision based on video images captured by at least two cameras having different positions. Additionally, there are autonomous determinations of whether a location of the ball intersects with the strike zone, and whether the batter made a genuine attempt to swing the bat at the ball, and based one at least one of these determinations, there is an autonomous determination of whether a “strike” or a “ball” occurred. Additionally, an indication of whether a “strike” or a “ball” occurred is autonomously output.

Abstract: A sports helmet comprises a single-piece plastic shell, an occipital shock absorber attached to the inner surface of the shell in the rear region to at least partially overlie an occipital area of the head, an inflatable occipital pad removably attached to the inner surface of the shell in the rear region and positioned between the inner surface of the shell and the lateral padding assembly to push the occipital shock absorber forward when the occipital pad is inflated. The occipital pad comprises a top sheet and a bottom sheet bonded together, a plurality of inflatable pockets formed in the top sheet and fluidly connected through channels formed in the top sheet, a valve assembly for inflating the plurality of inflatable pockets, the valve assembly bonded to the bottom sheet. The valve assembly extends through a hole in the shell for inflation.

Abstract: A protection device for a holder of a martial arts board/target provides protection from direct impact and/or from the force/shock that is transmitted rearward to the hand and wrists of the holder of the board/target. The device receives the board/target holder's fingers, and a slanted floor inside the device urges the fingers into a generally curled or other inwardly-slanted position, and urges the rest of the hand, the wrist, and forearm into ergonomic and safer positions. The device is preferably made of material(s) in a particular hardness range that protects the user's fingers but that also prevents injury to the striker who is hitting/kicking the board/target. There are preferably no flanges or stops that limit placement of the device to particular places on the board, but rather the holder determines and controls the placement.

Card handling devices having a substantially flat card output area may include an interface portion having an at least substantially flat draw surface. The substantially flat card output area may permit playing cards to be drawn from an outlet of the substantially flat card output area in a plurality of at least substantially horizontal directions. Methods of shuffling playing cards may include altering an orientation of a card buffer area and inserting cards into the card buffer area at both a top and a bottom of a group of cards within the card buffer area.

Abstract: A simulated American football game, with a particular gaming surface, and methods of play are described. The gaming surface may include an elongate “I” shaped field that may include a simulated field region bounded by two opposing simulated play regions in a same plane. The simulated field region may simulate a 100 yard American football field and may include LED lighting to track a line of scrimmage and to track a first down yard marker target. The two opposing simulated play regions may provide for a diversity and plurality of various play outcomes that may dictate certain gameplay results when a slider comes to rest mostly over a given target or region. The slider may be slid from one opposing simulated play region, across the simulated field region to the other opposing simulated play region. In some embodiments, defensive blocking obstacles may be used to intentionally increase gameplay difficulty.

Abstract: A chess-like game may include a new piece having powers and limitations not present in conventional chess pieces. The game may include a game board having ten columns and eight rows. The game may further include two sets of game pieces, each set comprising a king, a queen, two rooks, two bishops, two knights, two additional game pieces (AGP), and ten pawns. An initial setting of the pieces may include random positioning. The game may include restrictions that limit the movement of one or more pieces.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include methods and systems for pre-action training. In an aspect, a method is presented for constructing a user-controllable image comprising obtaining anatomical and physiological data associated with a body, storing the anatomical and physiological data in a database; and creating the user-controllable image based on the stored anatomical and physiological data. The user-controllable image may be configurable to a user. At least a moveable portion of the user-controllable image may be constructed to move based on input from a user. The user-controllable image may be constructed to enable pre-action training of the user. As such, victims of traumatic brain injury or other neurological setbacks may pre-train their nervous system for use of one or more injured body parts. Additionally, the methods and systems described provide pre-action training control of non-virtual prostheses, exoskeleton body parts, powered orthotic devices, robots or other motile or audiovisual output devices.

The activity metric data is generated by the wearable device in response to the wearable device sensing the user performing an activity. The method further including determining based on the received activity metric data a type of the sensed activity, determining at least one attribute of the avatar that corresponds to the determined type of the activity, determining an amount to adjust the at least one attribute based on the received activity metric data, and adjusting the determined at least one attribute of the avatar by the determined amount.

Abstract: A body motion driven interface system, the system uses an interface to track body position along with optional body positional elements driven by the user's body. The body motion driven interface includes an interactive object, a rocking platform for supporting the user's body, a tilt sensor for sensing tilt of the rocking platform, an optional position sensor for sensing position of the body positional elements relative to the rocking platform, and an optional tactile sensor for sensing touch of the body. The system further includes a control unit receiving tilt sensor data from the tilt sensor, position sensor data from the position sensor and tactile sensor data from the tactile sensor. The control unit uses the tilt sensor data, the position sensor data and the tactile sensor data to generate instructions that change a state within the computer driven visual display to create an imagination driven simulated reality.
