Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a housing, a movable body, a rack, a gear, a stepping motor, and a first action body. The movable body moves between a first position and a second position with respect to the housing. The first action body acts on the movable body. When an output shaft of the stepping motor rotates in a first rotation direction, the gear rotates to move the movable body in a first direction from the second position toward the first position. The first action body applies a pressing force toward a second direction opposite to the first direction to the movable body moving in the first direction beyond the first position. The pressing force is smaller than a force enough to rotate the output shaft of the stepping motor by one step in a second rotation direction opposite to the first rotation direction.

Abstract: “Battery operated flying car with enclosed motors for human transportation” is machine that can carry humans and looks like a real flying car. The current problem with implementing this is resolved by using ducted motors with grilles around it. By covering top and bottom of car with grilles we are able to negate effect of completely covered motors. By providing grilles around motors we ensure safety of humans around it, this not only avoids direct contact but also provides continuous air flow into motors to push out from the other side. Loss of efficiency due to covered grilles are countered by use of two additional front and two rear motors. Vertically mounted front motors push air into bottom motors which significantly improves the lift capacity of the flying car. Vertically mounted rear motor pumps air out of the car and thus aids in forward movement of the flying car.

The coupling body connects a rear end of the front frame with a front end of the rear frame. An upper face member of the coupling body includes a forwardly descending sloped face that interconnects an upper face of the rear frame with an upper face of the front frame. A front differential unit is mounted on the front frame. A front drive shaft having a constant velocity joint extends from the front differential unit forwardly of the coupling body and upwardly of the front frame.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a front wheel, a front wheel mounting portion, a vehicle body, and a roll mechanism. The wheels are disposed in a pair of the left and right and rotatable about the steering shaft as a rotation center. The portion is disposed in a pair of left and right, and the wheel rotatably mounted and includes a suspension. The body includes a seat on which an occupant sits. The mechanism connects the body and the portion. In the upright state, the roll axis of the mechanism is located at a position higher than the vehicle center of gravity when the occupant is not riding. When the body receives a centrifugal force at the time of turning, only the body among the body and the wheel rolls around the roll axis as the rotation center, whereby the body is inclined inward in the turning direction.

Abstract: Independent wheel suspensions for a motor vehicle are described herein. An example independent wheel suspension includes a link to be pivotably coupled to a vehicle body of the motor vehicle via a first flexible pivot bearing and a second flexible pivot bearing. The first and second flexible pivot bearings form a pivoting axis. The link has a wheel attachment point to which a vehicle wheel is to be coupled. The example independent wheel suspension also includes a spring to be disposed between the link and the vehicle body. The spring is configured to produce a force component on the link that is directed outward along a transverse axis of the motor vehicle and that increases during compression.

Abstract: An air suspension system which includes a Dynamic Load Transfer (DLT) function. DLT is a process of transferring vehicle load, or varying normal loads applied to each wheel of the vehicle, using switchable volume or variable volume air spring assemblies. Switchable or variable volume air spring assemblies have the ability to change air spring volumes, which results in changes in air spring rates, which result in changes in normal loads applied to each wheel. Changes in wheel normal loads change wheel traction (slip) and vehicle dynamics (pitch, roll, yaw displacement, rate and acceleration). Each air spring assembly may have multiple volume air chambers that are switched “on” and “off,” a variable volume air chamber, or the air spring assembly may be coupled with other air springs, or air chambers, that are switched or varied.

Abstract: An air suspension system which includes the ability to adjust the working air volume, pressure, and spring rate of one or more air springs to reduce or eliminate various types of vehicle oscillations. Switchable or variable volume air spring assemblies have the ability to change air spring volumes, which results in changes in air spring rates, and therefore changes in normal loads applied to each wheel. Changes in wheel normal loads change wheel traction (slip) and vehicle dynamics (pitch, roll, yaw displacement, rate and acceleration). The spring rate of one or more of the air spring assemblies is adjusted automatically when a vehicle oscillation is detected. This vehicle oscillation is calculated from the raw vehicle signals, or another vehicle module may detect the oscillation and send a command to the air suspension module to change the spring rates. This changes the natural frequency of the vehicle, dampening the oscillation.
