The manipulation of carbon sources comprising glucose, galactose, glycerol and sucrose and nitrogen sources comprising tryptone, bacterial peptone, yeast extract and ammonium chloride at a concentration (w/v) of 0.1%, 0.5%, 1% and 2% in the culture medium dictated the change in the gliding behaviour of S. maltophilia and metabolite production in-vivo. The method for marking the 5-formyl cytosine comprises the following steps of: (1) preparing a DNA or RNA sample; and (2) mixing the DNA or RNA sample with a buffer solution and a compound R1—CH2—CN to obtain a marking reaction system; and reacting the compound R1—CH2—CN therein with the 5-formyl cytosine in DNA and RNA molecules, and thereby achieving the marking of the 5-formyl cytosine; the reaction process is as in (I) below: wherein, R1 is an electron withdrawing group next to the CH2 group, preferably —CN, (II) or (III), and more preferably —CN; R is a DNA or RNA molecule connected to the 5-formyl cytosine; and the pH value of the marking reaction system is 7.5-9. On this basis, also provided in the present invention is a sequencing analysis method for the 5-formyl cytosine.

Abstract: Provided is a means for detecting and quantifying a biological substance of interest with an improved accuracy by inhibiting non-specific adsorption of fluorescent nanoparticles and thereby reducing the background noise in immunostaining with fluorescent nanoparticles. Immunostaining is carried out upon diluting fluorescent nanoparticles with a fluorescent nanoparticle diluent which contains 1 to 5% (W/W) of a protein having a molecular weight of 40,000 or higher (e.g., BSA) and 1 to 3% (W/W) of a protein having a molecular weight of less than 40,000 (e.g., casein) and, when casein is used as a low-molecular-weight protein, it is preferred that the ?-casein content in the casein is 10% (W/W) or less and the ratio of ?-casein and ?-casein (?-casein:?-casein) contained in the casein is 40:60 to 60:40 (taking the total amount of ?-casein and ?-casein as 100).

Abstract: A method for identifying and quantifying organic or biochemical substances in a fluid medium using a nanogap sensor is disclosed. A nanogap sensor with two electrodes of different materials is used, a respective probe molecule is bonded to each electrode and the free remainder of the probe molecules have at least one bondable group with specificity to a substance or analyte. The analyte has at least two binding sites and passes selectively out of the fluid medium, binds to the free ends of the probe molecules to form a bridge, modifying the impedance between the electrodes.

Abstract: The invention provides methods of digital amplification using primers of limited nucleotide composition. Limited nucleotide composition means that the primers are underrepresented in at least one nucleotide type. Such primers have much reduced capacity to prime from each other or to extend initiated by mispriming from other than at their intended primer binding sites in a target nucleic acid.
