Abstract: A printing apparatus measures a temperature of an electrothermal transducer by a corresponding temperature detection element, detects, based on the measured temperature, a peak voltage which indicates a point of change, from a state where ink is discharged normally from a printhead to a state where the ink is not discharged from the printhead, and compares the peak voltage with a threshold value. The measurement, detection, and comparison are repeated until the peal voltage becomes equal to or more than the threshold value. Abstract: There is provided a charge electrode for charging ink droplets for continuous ink jet printing. The charge electrode has a generally cylindrical main body defining a generally cylindrical passage for the ink droplets, said passage extending along a travel axis that represents, in use, the position of an ink jet in ingress to the electrode and a direction of travel of the ink droplets once these have detached from the ink jet. The charge electrode comprises two distinct axially disposed regions: a first region for charging the droplets as required; and, a second region for screening the charged droplets from any electric fields which could undesirably affect the trajectory of the ink jet and/or the droplets. The second region may fully surround at least a portion of the travel axis. The invention therefore provides improved screening for the ink jet and/or the droplets. This may in turn enable better control of the charge applied to the charged droplets, and/or of their travel trajectory.

Abstract: An Improved round corner cutting machine for Exercise Note Books The present invention relates to round corner cutting machine that comprises 5 pairs of suckers (116), each pair of sucker (116) grips single book and middle sucker (116) being located between pairs of sucker (116) that grip middle book. Here, position of each pair of sucker (116) is adjusted by adjusting position of guide blocks though adjustable links (107, 108). Further, distance between suckers (116) of each pair is adjusted by sliding the sucker cups (113) 10 within slot (112) of guide block so that according to size of books, the position of sucker is defined such that each book is gripped by one pair of sucker. After gripping, each pair of sucker (116) is separated linearly so that books are separated from their partition line. Said separated books are conveyed to back stopper assembly (3) where books are properly positioned and then 15 corner cutting assembly carry the corner cutting of books.

In some examples, a smart processing device may include a central segment and a plurality of removable segments. The removable segments may be connected to the central segment in a plurality of different configurations. In some examples, each configuration may enable or disable functionality associated with the smart processing device. Further, a system may receive data associated with a current physical configuration of a smart processing device. The current physical configuration data may be compared to pre-stored configuration data in order to identify one or more functions to be enabled or disabled for the smart processing device. The system, computing platform, or the like, may generate an instruction, command or signal enabling or disabling functionality and may transmit the signal to the smart processing device for execution and control of functions provided by the smart processing device.
