  • Patent number: 10712102
Abstract: A cold plate structure, wherein a thermally active region includes fins metal injection molded in a single piece with a fin base sufficiently thin so that the active region mechanically conforms to the heat generating device that the cold plate cools. The fin base is formed as a common structure with a bottom wall of the cold plate, reducing thermal resistance between the device and the fins and also enhancing mechanical flexibility. Another cold plate structure can include multiple thermally active regions, with flexible outer walls and a reduced thickness between active regions, allowing for position variation between multiple heat generation devices that are cooled by the common cold plate. A common base having multiple physically separate active regions can be metal injection molded in a single step, or bases of multiple active regions can be formed individually and joined later to form a common single cold plate structure.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to novel non-propellant personal defense tools that provide increased safety to users that prefer non-lethal weapons. In particular, the novel non-propellant personal defense tools of the present invention comprise a combat housing in an innovative combination with a vision impairment light, and sliding forend that creates sound when bidirectionally engaged, for example, as in the cocking of a shotgun. A non-propellant personal defense tool of the present invention is a hefty deterrent and resembles the image and action of a shotgun by an attacker when the vision of the attacker is impaired by the vision impairment light. In specific embodiments, the combat housing is shaped like a bat. Additionally, further embodiments also trigger an alarm or an alarm system.

  • Patent number: 10712122
Abstract: A firearm accessory mount is an apparatus that maximizes the mounting surfaces on a firearm while allowing the interchangeability of a barrel onto and off of the firearm. The apparatus includes a left tactical rail, a right tactical rail, a gas-cylinder clamp, an upper tactical rail, and an elongated fixture with a transversal arc-shaped cross section. The left tactical rail, the right tactical rail, and the upper tactical rail allows for a variety of firearm accessories to mount onto the apparatus. The gas-cylinder clamp attaches the apparatus onto the gas cylinder. The elongated fixture braces the barrel while attached to the firearm. The arc-shaped cross-section of the elongated fixture allows the barrel to be replaced or a new barrel to be attached without altering the position and orientation of the firearm. The apparatus further includes a lower tactical rail that allows the mounting of firearm accessories beneath the gas cylinder.

Abstract: A detector monitors the presence, absence, insertion, and/or removal of an object in a holster. The detector broadcasts a message to an electronic device reporting whether the object, such as a weapon, has been removed from the holster and/or if the holster lock has been unlocked. The detector repeatedly probes for the presence of the object in the holster. The electronic device, in response to authenticating the message, may control the recording of audio, video, and/or other data in conjunction with the insertion or withdrawal. The detector stores information about when an object has been removed or inserted from the holster and provides it the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 10712129
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to forming images for a terminal-imaging seeker using software defined optics. An optically-neutral lens with a ballistic-ogive-shaped front surface receives light from a scene aligned along an optical axis. The optically-neutral lens transmits the light received at the ballistic-ogive-shaped front surface to a planar rear surface, which is then transmitted to a coded-aperture plate aligned with the optical axis. The coded-aperture plate includes a plurality of pinhole-like apertures, each of which is configured to perform pinhole-like lensing of the scene. The plurality of pinhole-like apertures form a multiplex of overlapping images on a focal plane array aligned with the optical axis. An image processor reconstructs, based on a configuration of the plurality of pinhole-like apertures and the multiplex of overlapping images, a single image of the scene.
