Abstract: A connector includes a body that extends along a longitudinal axis from one end-face to an opposite end-face. The body has an inner surface and an outer surface, and defines a first raised block, a second raised block, and first recesses in at least one end face. The first and second raised blocks each respectively extend from the outer surface perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The first raised block includes a first planar surface and defines protrusions that extend from the first planar surface. The second raised block includes a second planar surface and defines second recesses within the second planar surface. Each of the body, the first recesses, the first protrusions, and the second recesses separately defines a respective structural interface. Each structural interface is configured to engage with a respective corresponding structural interface of a component and couple that component to the connector.

Abstract: A compact and portable liquid concentrator includes a gas inlet, a gas exit and a flow corridor connecting the gas inlet and the gas exit, wherein the flow corridor includes a narrowed portion that accelerates the gas through the flow corridor. A liquid inlet injects liquid into the gas stream at a point prior to the narrowed portion so that the gas-liquid mixture is thoroughly mixed within the flow corridor, causing a portion of the liquid to be evaporated. A demister or fluid scrubber downstream of the narrowed portion removes entrained liquid droplets from the gas stream and re-circulates the removed liquid to the liquid inlet through a re-circulating circuit. Fresh liquid to be concentrated is also introduced into the re-circulating circuit at a rate sufficient to offset the amount of liquid evaporated in the flow corridor.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for extracting one or more chemical extracts from a plant product. The chemical extracts are purified and extracted by first separating at least a phytochemical bearing part of a plant product from one or more other portions of the plant product. A carrier oil is then heated at a target temperature to be used as the vehicle for extraction and then mixed with the at least a phytochemical bearing part while the target temperature is maintained. The process may be streamlined by having heating and mixing occur in a press device. The mixed carrier oil and the at least a phytochemical bearing part are then passed through the press device to produce an oil mixture. At least a chemical extract may be extracted from the oil mixture, and in some cases may be further purified by evaporation and/or centrifugation.

Abstract: A method for controlling the saturation level of gas in a liquid discharge includes obtaining temperature and pressure measurements of a solvent in a mixing vessel and obtaining a pressure measurement of a source feedstock in a feedstock tank, correlating the temperature and pressure measurements of the solvent to baseline data to generate a theoretical uptake rate for the source feedstock into the solvent and a theoretical flow rate of the source feedstock into the mixing vessel, and determining a required opening setting for a feedstock valve in the feedstock input line in order to achieve a desired liquid displacement in the mixing vessel. The method includes determining an uptake duration and achieving an uptake displacement equivalent to the reverse of the desired liquid displacement. The method includes generating a valve operating control law for how the feedstock valve should function in a cycle.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a kneading member (107) for a device for kneading a dough, comprising: —a mounting disc (109); —a kneading tool (111) for mixing the ingredients which constitute a dough, comprising: —an upper portion (121), extending from said mounting disc, —a mid-portion (123), in the extension of said upper portion, and—a lower portion (125), in the extension of said mid-portion. The kneading member (107) according to the invention is noteworthy in that the kneading tool (111) consists of a circular helix, the angle of winding of which is non-constant between said upper, mid- and lower portions of the tool (111) and in that the angle of winding of the lower portion (125) is less than that of the mid-portion (123). The invention also relates to a kneading device fitted with such a kneading member.

Abstract: The present invention is a dust abatement device that secures over a container. Powdery material, such as plaster, cement, grout or the like, is poured through the device, and mixed with water inside the container. The device has a mounting sleeve and radial manifold. The manifold forms a radial pneumatic channel with a circumferentially disbursed air intake that generates a radially uniform airflow to draw in airborne dust that would otherwise escape to the surrounding air. The manifold is connected to a vacuum with an air filter, and generates a dust shield zone above and around the device, which only extends down from the manifold a few inches. The manifold also funnels material and water into the container, and forms an inner eave that spaces material and water from the air intake, and forms a splash guard to retain upwardly projected splashes of material and water inside the container.

Powdery material, such as plaster, cement, grout or the like, is poured through the device, and mixed with water inside the pail. The device includes a mounting sleeve, a radial manifold housing and a funnel shaped lid. The manifold is connected to a vacuum with an air filter, and generates a dust shield zone air intake zone above the device. The manifold lid forms a radial guard to prevent downward flows of material and water from entering the manifold, and forms a splash guard to retain upwardly projected splashes of material and water inside the pail.
