Provided is a metal contamination inhibitor that contains a polymer having an ion-exchange group, such as a polystyrene sulfonate having a molecular weight of at least 100,000. Trace metals in ultrapure water are adsorbed through an ion-exchange reaction of the polymer having the ion-exchange group, and can thus be inhibited from adhering to products. Also provided is a method for cleaning a product with ultrapure water to which the metal contamination inhibitor has been added. Preferably, the ultrapure water to which the metal contamination inhibitor has been added flows through a separation membrane module, and the products are cleaned with permeated water.

  • Patent number: 10717111
Abstract: A vibratory drive system comprises a rotatable drive shaft and an out-of-balance wheel that is coaxial with and rotatable relative to the drive shaft. A rotary transmission system couples the drive shaft to the wheel in order to transmit rotational movement of the drive shaft to the wheel. The rotary transmission system comprises a shaft gear, a wheel gear, and intermediate gears coupling the shaft gear to the wheel gear. The intermediate gears are carried by a gear carrier that is rotatable relative to the drive shaft, and are rotatable with respect to the gear carrier. The arrangement allows the phase angle of the out-of-balance wheel to be adjusted with respect to the drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 10717112
Abstract: Embodiments of a system and method for sorting and delivering articles in a processing facility. Delivery endpoints are divided and grouped into stop groups. A first sorter sorts items according to stop group and outputs the items to trays. The output trays from the first sorter are loaded to a second sorter. The second sorter sorts items for each stop group into trays based on carrier route segments. A manifest is created that comprises a list of the items in a tray. A mobile computing device alerts a delivery carrier when there is an item that needs to be delivered.

  • Patent number: 10717116
Abstract: A method of slurry infiltration and cleaning to fabricate a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) component with an internal cavity or bore comprises inserting a number of rods into a hollow portion of a porous fiber preform, thereby forming a rod arrangement substantially filling the hollow portion. Each of the rods has a low-friction surface comprising a coefficient of static friction of about 0.1 or less. The porous fiber preform is exposed to a slurry comprising particulate solids in a liquid carrier, and the slurry infiltrates the porous fiber preform. Some fraction of the particulate solids is deposited within interstices of the porous fiber preform to form an impregnated fiber preform, and another fraction of the particulate solids is deposited within the hollow portion as excess slurry. After slurry infiltration, the rods are withdrawn from the hollow portion, and at least some of the excess slurry is removed with the rods.
