Abstract: A method for locating a golf ball including changing a temperature of a golf ball from a first temperature to a second temperature before use or marking the ball by reflective (mirror) or fluorescent material (e.g., NIR-IR fluorescent dye). The temperature changed ball is struck. Using either a thermal imaging camera with an imaging processing unit or a near-infrared (NIR) imaging camera with an imaging processing unit to produce a digital image of a part of the golf course with a potential golf ball location. An image processing technique is applied to produce an enhanced image of the golf ball location. A thermal imaging camera and a NIR imaging camera for locating a golf ball are described. A non-transitory computer readable media is described.

The balance board facilitates the conditioning and rehabilitation of the nerves, bones, muscles, and joints of the body by limiting the range of motion and biomechanical forces around the longitudinal and lateral axes. The balance board comprises a deck, a fulcrum receiver, and a fulcrum insert. The fulcrum insert is press-fit into a fulcrum cavity of the fulcrum receiver. The fulcrum insert extends outward from the fulcrum receiver and provides an area where the balance board can pivot. The fulcrum insert may be replaced by the user such that it may occupy either a first orientation or a second orientation within the fulcrum cavity. The first orientation and the second orientation configures the fulcrum insert such that it provides a lateral or longitudinal axis of balance relative to the deck, respectively.

More descriptively, the device allows complete range of motion of the hands except in the extended or downward direction ‘after’ initiation of the swing. In a golf swing it is important to disallow movement in the downward direction once the golf swing has been initiated, but it is also important to allow full and natural freedom of movement every other direction so a golfer-in-training does not feel uncomfortable or restriction while practicing. Abstract: A peripheral area is provided on the periphery of an operation target (for example, a player character) of a user. When an object (for example, a bullet) is located on the periphery of the operation target (for example, passes therethrough), an effect different from that when the object touches the operation target (for example, hits it) is generated. A form of the peripheral area may be changed. In a case where a predetermined condition regarding the operation target is satisfied, the form thereof may be changed. When the object is located on the periphery of the operation target, a parameter different from a parameter varying when the object touches the operation target may be changed When the object located on the periphery of the operation target, a second value may be added to a first value associated with the operation target.

Abstract: This application is directed to a method of managing processing capability of a server system having one or more processing cores that further include multiple processing slices. Upon receiving requests to initiate online gaming sessions, the server system allocates each processing slice of the processing cores to a subset of the online gaming sessions to be executed thereon. A first processing slice is allocated to a first subset of the online gaming sessions including a first gaming session and a second gaming session. At the first processing slice, a time-sharing processing schedule is determined for the first subset of the online gaming sessions. In accordance with the time-sharing processing schedule, the first and second gaming sessions share a duty cycle of the first processing slice, and are executed dynamically and in parallel according to real-time data processing need of the first and second gaming sessions.

Abstract: Methods for providing guidance to a user wearing a head mounted display (HMD) are provided. One example method includes using a camera of the HMD to track the user wearing the HMD in a real-world space, and identifying a safe zone within the real-world space for interacting with a virtual reality space via the HMD. The method further includes detecting movements of the user in the real-world space. The method includes integrating content into the virtual reality space. The content is configured to provide guidance in direction of movement of the user toward the safe zone of the real-world space. If the user continues to move away from safe zone, pausing presentation of the virtual reality space, and resuming the presentation when the user is in the safe zone.

Abstract: The invention discloses a pure end-to-end deep reinforcement learning for training car racing game AI bot that uses only the velocity information extracted from screen for both training and testing phases without using any internal state from game environment, such as the car facing angle. The learned AI bot can play better than the average performance of human players. In addition, the reward function is designed to consist only the velocity value, and use Ape-X distributed training framework combined with a variant of Deep Q Network to solve the sparse training signal problem caused by the reward function of an original design. Moreover, limit learner rate method is designed that improves the training efficiency and training performance. The AI bot trained in this way can achieve performance beyond the average human level and reach a level close to professional players.
