Abstract: A filter, including a main body part. The main body part includes a heart-proximal end, a plurality of connecting segments, and a first filter mesh connecting between the heart-proximal end and the plurality of connecting segments. An end of the connecting segments that is connected to the first filter mesh is bent towards a central longitudinal axis of the filter to form a bending part. A vertical distance between a proximal end of the bending part and the central longitudinal axis of the filter is less than a vertical distance between a distal end of the bending part and the central longitudinal axis of the filter.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally pertains to methods and kits for preparing an ACL repair surgical implant, the method including drilling femoral and tibial bone plugs of a tendon graft to create medial to lateral holes, and passing a braided suture around the tendinous portion of the tibial end, through soft tissue, and out the tibial end. Next, an anterior to posterior femoral hole is drilled, and a flat-braided suture is passed through the femoral medial to lateral hole and, using a bent needle, passed through junctions of the femoral bone plug and the tendinous portion and out through junctions of the tibial bone plug and the tendinous portion on both sides of the graft. Ends of the flat-braided suture are crisscrossed through the medial to lateral tibial hole. A bone-to-bone fixation suture assembly is passed through the anterior to posterior femoral hole.

Abstract: A breast implant comprising an outer shell that may be filled with saline or a double shell comprising two chambers, wherein the outer shell may be filled with silicone gel and the inner shell may be filled with saline. Alternatively, the single lumen saline chamber may contain several bubble shells disposed within the lumen to baffle the saline, giving the implant a more gel-like feel. The implant may be selectively filled with saline via a self-sealing valve located on the superior edge of the exterior surface of the outer shell. The valve is palpable but small enough so as not to bother the patient. The valve includes an injection port that provides access to the saline lumen so that the size of the shell is adjustable.

Abstract: Intraocular lenses and related assemblies and intraocular attachment methods are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, an intraocular lens assembly comprises a helical-shaped coil fastener to affix an intraocular lens to an iris to correct for astigmatism, presbyopia, and/or myopia or hyperopia. The helical-shaped coil fastener comprises a head and a helical wire extending from a bottom surface of the head and comprising a pointed tip opposite the head. The helical-shaped coil fastener is configured to be affixed to the iris by rotatable penetration of the iris, and thus can be removed from the iris by reverse rotation of the helical-shaped coil fastener. The helical-shaped coil fastener has a low volume, large surface area, low cross-sectional area of penetration, and an oblique angle of penetration. Thus, the helical-shaped coil fastener is easy to apply, easy to remove, minimizes tissue damage, maximizes stability, and minimizes penetration force.
