Abstract: A direct intracardiac imaging catheter capable of entering chambers of the heart and providing an image through a vein or an artery percutaneously, or through direct access during open surgery. The intracardiac imaging catheter apparatus is a small optical fiber imaging system. The catheter is deflectable and capable of navigating within all heart chambers to acquire detailed images, and adjacent large vessels during percutaneous cardiac procedures. The catheter can access the arterial system to acquire blood vessel images. It can pass through the intra-atrial septum (foramen ovale) for cardiac procedures in the left chambers and large vessels adjacent the left heart, including pulmonary veins and the aorta. During open heart surgery, images can be provided from hard to access regions including the back of the heart during off pump cardiac surgery. The apparatus includes balloon tip that can be inflated and deflected based the movement of catheter.

Abstract: A hemodynamic monitor implements an adaptive method that optimally estimates scaling and offset calibration parameters by using a computationally efficient, iterative online method to minimize the mean square error between a high bandwidth arterial pressure cardiac output (APCO) measurement generated by a first physiological sensor affixed to a patient and a relatively low bandwidth continuous cardiac output (CCO) measurement generated by a second physiological sensor also affixed to the patient. When calibration parameters are used to adjust an APCO measurement, the combined APCO/CCO estimate provided by the hemodynamic monitor has accuracy comparable to a CCO measurement, but also tracks cardiac output dynamical variations that are outside of the CCO algorithm bandwidth.

Abstract: A method for adjusting an output signal of a pulse diagnosis device includes obtaining a pulse signal at a pulse diagnosis region that is acquired by a sensing element of the pulse diagnosis device, and performing a parameter recognition on the pulse signal to obtain a parameter of the pulse signal, and determining a biological structure of the pulse diagnosis region based on the parameter of the pulse signal. The method also includes determining an adjustment factor for the parameter of the pulse signal based on the biological structure, and adjusting the parameter of the pulse signal based on the adjustment factor for the parameter of the pulse signal, to obtain an adjusted pulse signal for the pulse diagnosis region. The pulse signal is a pressure signal applied by an artery in the pulse diagnosis region to an external skin surface corresponding to the artery.

Abstract: A sphygmomanometer includes a frame that spatially demarcates a region in which a display screen is displayed. On the display screen, a scale indication for making a value of pressure readable is displayed along one direction. On the display screen, a mark that represents a pressure of a cuff by a position of the mark with respect to the scale indication is displayed. When the pressure changes, a display control unit performs control to slide the scale indication with respect to the frame along the one direction at a slide speed corresponding to a predetermined pressure change rate or a pressure change rate obtained by actual measurement in a pressurizing process or a depressurizing process of the cuff so that the mark falls within the frame.
