According to various embodiments, the systems and methods may include features designed to determine whether the shipped item is likely to comply with customer-defined shipping requirements throughout the entire shipping process. In various embodiments, the systems and methods are configured to indicate to a user certain shipments that are likely to arrive without complying with all of the customer-defined shipping requirements, such that a user can take remedial action to minimize or eliminate the likelihood of the shipment failing to comply with the customer-defined shipping requirements.

Abstract: Package delivery to homes or after-hours business delivery exposes a package to theft, weather damage, and extreme temperatures. To receive and protect delivered packages, a package receiving station is configured to receive package from delivery vehicles. The station includes walls that extend upward to create an interior space of the station and a roof or other movable portion that is moveable between a first position covering the interior space and a second position allowing access to the interior space. A motor causes movement of the moveable roof or movable portion and an access portal in the wall allows access into the interior space to retrieve the package. A receiver receives a signal from or detects the arrival of the delivery vehicle and generates a control signal. A controller, responsive to the control signal, sends an activation signal to the motor to move the moveable roof or movable portion.

These product returns have an associated cost. Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to computer-implemented systems and methods to enable customer-to-customer product returns in an e-commerce platform. In a customer-to-customer return, a first customer that wants to return an item of a particular product is connected with a second customer that wants to purchase that product. The e-commerce platform then facilitates a shipment of the item from the first customer directly to the second customer. Embodiments of the present disclosure include online store implementations of customer-to-customer returns, and online marketplace implementations of customer-to-customer returns.

The autonomous transportation system can transport the item from the seller to the buyer and avoid many conventional drawbacks of peer-to-peer marketplaces.

The system compares weekday email activities of a second time frame with the weekend email activities of the first time frame. The system assigns an out of office label to one or more weekday of the second time frame in the calendar application for the user account based on the comparing.

The service layer processing circuitry receives an electronic mail message. The server component processing circuitry may communicate with the service layer processing circuitry. The server component processing circuitry assigns an approval card to the electronic mail message by a processor storing the approval card and the electronic mail message in a computer memory, and determines whether a primary approver approved the electronic mail message within a predefined amount of time. Abstract: A technical problem of multi-objective optimization of job applications redistribution in an online connection network system is addressed by incorporating monetary value of job applications as a signal into a ranker for ranking jobs with respect to a member profile in job search and recommendations. The monetary value of job applications is used in addition to the relevance signal and is determined by executing a machine learning model that accounts for the covariates that could impact monetary value of an application for a job.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for predicting successful outcomes. During operation, the system determines interaction features characterizing interaction between a moderator of a job and one or more applicants for the job. Next, the system applies a machine learning model to the interaction features to produce a score representing a likelihood of a positive outcome for the job. The system then applies a threshold to the score to generate a predicted outcome for the job. Finally, the system outputs the predicted outcome in association with the job.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for predicting hiring priorities. During operation, the system determines hiring features characterizing hiring activity by a company for a set of titles. Next, the system applies a first machine learning model to the hiring features to produce a first set of scores representing future hiring volumes and applies a second machine learning model to the hiring features to produce a second set of scores representing future hiring growth. The system then generates a first ranking of the titles by the first set of scores and a second ranking of the titles by the second set of scores. Finally, the system outputs at least a portion of the first ranking as a prediction of future hiring volumes by the company and at least a portion of the second ranking as a prediction of future hiring growth by the company.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for processing data. During operation, the system obtains a first embedding generated by a topic model from parameters of searches by a first recruiting entity and obtains a set of additional embeddings generated by the topic model from attributes of a set of candidates. Next, the system determines match features that include measures of similarity between the first embedding and each embedding in the set of additional embeddings. The system then applies a machine learning model to the match features and additional features for the candidates to produce a set of scores for the candidates. Finally, the system generates a ranking of the candidates according to the scores and outputs at least a portion of the ranking as search results of a current search by the first recruiting entity.

As described herein, a typical device user is inundated with information suggesting activities and other things to do. Using these techniques, the information is categorized according to the activity and those activities that are most likely to be engaged in by the device user are recommended to the device user (via their device) as events of interest. If the device user selects an event of interest, the device is updated to reflect that selection. For instance, a calendar application may be updated to include an event description at the event's date and time. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

A server accesses calendar data for a user account and parses the calendar data for a plurality of available time slots within an upcoming timeframe. A confirmation of the scheduled focus time sessions is provided to the user account.

A central computing device provides a first graphical interface accessible by a computing device of a carrier having to repair a trailer in order to permit the carrier to submit a repair request indicating repair needed for the trailer. The central computing device then generates an invoice for the repair to the trailer directed to a domicile facility associated with the trailer. The central computing device also transmits an alert including the invoice to a computing device of the domicile facility associated with the trailer, receives a response from the computing device of the domicile facility associated with the trailer, and transmits a notification indicating whether the repair request has been approved by the domicile facility associated with the trailer.

Abstract: A method for registering a reimbursement to a user depositing a plurality of recyclable articles for recycling, includes: a) providing a respective visually readable marking on each article visually representing a respective code; b) in a first location, using the camera of a mobile computer device to visually depict the marking of each article, and automatically interpreting the respective code; c) in a second location, the mobile device reading a location signal; d) comparing the read signal to a corresponding predetermined physical location or area; e) in the second location, the mobile device visually depicting the respective marking of each of a verification subset of the articles; f) verifying that the codes each corresponds to a respective article in the plurality and/or that all of the articles in the verification subset have been interpreted; and in case the verifications performed in step f) is positive, automatically registering the reimbursement.

Abstract: An escrowing system for cross-blockchain third-party settlement and a method thereof are disclosed. In the escrowing system, an initiating-end host and an accepting-end host escrow digital assets in smart contracts in different blockchains, respectively, and based on a result of delivery of trading entities outside the blockchain, the digital assets escrowed by the smart contracts are transferred or returned, and the arbitration host is permitted to perform trading arbitration, without managing the trading entities, to determine whether the delivery outside the blockchain succeeds. When the arbitration host determines that the delivery outside the blockchain succeeds, the arbitration host can transfer the digital assets escrowed by the initiating-end host and the accepting-end host without consent of the initiating-end host, so as to achieve a technical effect of improving reliability of escrow.

Abstract: When generating a block, a first blockchain management apparatus receives, from a prescribed information providing apparatus, a digest value generated from ledger information and a prescribed payment address, and the prescribed payment address, and generates a block. A second blockchain management apparatus verifies the block on the condition that the block that was received from the first blockchain management apparatus includes at least the digest value generated from the ledger information and the prescribed payment address, and a second transaction whereby consideration for providing the ledger information is paid to the prescribed payment address. In a case where verification of the block is successful, the second blockchain management apparatus forms a consensus with another blockchain management apparatus and adds the block for which consensus was formed to the ledger.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for configuring, creating, and deploying smart contracts to facilitate managing and execution of escrow transactions. Embodiments provide for receiving information about an escrow transaction that includes at least one term required to be met for digital property, provided by a funding party, to be distributed to a performing party. Embodiments also include generating a transaction smart contract based on the transaction information. The transaction smart contract is configured to hold the digital property until a triggering event is detected, at which time the transaction smart contract disposes of the digital property. Embodiments further include causing the transaction smart contract to be funded with the digital property, and determining that the triggering event has occurred. The transaction smart contract is then triggered to dispose of the digital property based on the triggering event.

A system enhances an automated teller machine with the capability of depositing a Radio Frequency Identification tag on the paper substrate of the cash. The cash is tagged after determination of a tracking scenario. The cash may be tracked by using an RFID scanner. The cash may be tracked using a remote cash registry to track and record ownership, location, or the like.

Abstract: A system for managing and transferring a virtual shopping cart. The system includes a product identification system that is programmed to identify products from a product identification tag, a cart identification system that is configured to generate a cart identifier that uniquely identifies the virtual shopping cart, and a cart management engine.
