Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide techniques for lean level support for a trading strategy. According to certain embodiments, the support for a price level under consideration as a lean level is determined based at least in part on quantity available at the price level. According to certain embodiments, the support for a price level under consideration as a lean level is determined based at least in part on quantity available at one or more other price levels. According to certain embodiments, the support for a price level under consideration as a lean level is determined based at least in part on the number of orders at one or more price levels. A lean level may then be determined based on the determined support. According to certain embodiments, a lean multiplier and/or a lean base are determined dynamically based on the determined support.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to automated generation of objective data for use in computing a forward interest rate for a future time period subsequent to a current date, as well as post validation thereof. Periodic sample sets of the prices of actual completed trades between anonymized parties of each of a set of interest rate futures contracts having consecutive expiration months which collectively include the selected future time period are obtained from an anonymized electronic trading system. The prices of current best offers to buy/sell each of those contracts are also randomly obtained. Each sample set, along with the randomly selected prices, is then processed to identify a subset thereof which are consistent with a relationship between the underlying interest rate of the set of contracts and time period covered thereby.

Abstract: An eye correction system and related techniques are described herein. The eye correction system can automatically detect and correct one or more misaligned eyes in an image. For example, an image of a person can be analyzed to determine whether one or both eyes of the person are misaligned with respect to each other and/or with respect to the entire face of the person. If an eye is determined to be misaligned, the image can be modified so that the eye is adjusted accordingly. For example, an iris of a misaligned eye can be adjusted to align with the face and/or the other eye.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for filling or otherwise replacing a target region of a primary image with a corresponding region of an auxiliary image. The filling or replacing can be done with an overlay (no subtractive process need be run on the primary image). Because the primary and auxiliary images may not be aligned, both geometric and photometric transformations are applied to the primary and/or auxiliary images. For instance, a geometric transformation of the auxiliary image is performed, to better align features of the auxiliary image with corresponding features of the primary image. Also, a photometric transformation of the auxiliary image is performed, to better match color of one or more pixels of the auxiliary image with color of corresponding one or more pixels of the primary image. The corresponding region of the transformed auxiliary image is then copied and overlaid on the target region of the primary image.

Abstract: A method for determining an optimality coefficient includes receiving an image including a plurality of pixels. A characteristic function is selected for analyzing the received image. Distribution of the plurality of pixels of the received image is analyzed using the selected characteristic function. The analyzed distribution of the plurality of pixels is compared with a normal probability distribution function. An optimality coefficient value for the received image is generated based on the results of the comparison.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes one or more processors including hardware. The one or more processors are configured to: divide, regarding a plurality of images acquired by capturing images of an imaging subject over time, the respective images into a plurality of regions; calculate, for the respective divided regions, motion vectors by detecting movements of the imaging subject; detect luminances and contrasts of the respective regions and detect specific regions where the detected luminances and contrasts satisfy determination conditions, the determination conditions being that the luminances are equal to or greater than a first threshold and that the contrasts are equal to or less than a second threshold; select the motion vectors to be used by excluding the motion vectors of the detected specific regions from the calculated motion vectors; and generate a combined image by performing position alignment of the plurality of images by using the selected motion vectors.

Abstract: A fracture detection method executed by an electronic device is provided. The fracture detection method includes obtaining a to-be-detected image; using a Fully Convolutional Networks (FCN) model to process the to-be-detected image to obtain a fracture probability map of the to-be-detected image; performing a maximum pooling process on the fracture probability map to obtain a first fracture probability; extracting Regions of Interests (ROIs) of the to-be-detected image based on the FCN model; inputting the ROIs into a classification model to obtain a second fracture probability; calculating a product of the first fracture probability and the second fracture probability as a probability of a fracture phenomenon in the to-be-detected image. The present disclosure combines the FCN model and the ROIs to realize an automatic fracture detection, and the accuracy is higher. A device employing the method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method and a graphic user interface for displaying digital media objects and dynamically calculating their quality indicators. A first digital media object is displayed on a first computing device. A first user provides one of predefined inputs corresponding either to a positive or a negative response to the first digital media object. The quality indicator of the first digital media object is increased if the response is positive and decreased if the response is negative. The amount of increase or decrease is calculated based on a coefficient value associated with the first user. Subsequent responses to the first digital media object from other users impact the quality indicator of the first digital media object and, also, impact the coefficient value of the first user. Updated coefficient value of the first user is used to calculate impact of subsequent responses of the first user to other digital media objects.

Abstract: An image generation means 81 generates an image using a generator. A discrimination means 82 discriminates whether an object image includes a feature of a target image, using a discriminator. A first update means 83 updates the generator so as to minimize a first error representing a degree of divergence between a result of discriminating a generated image using the discriminator and a correct answer label associated with the generated image, the generated image being the image generated using the generator. A second update means 84 updates the discriminator so as to minimize a second error representing a degree of divergence between each of respective results of discriminating the generated image, a first actual image including the feature of the target image, and a second actual image not including the feature of the target image using the discriminator and a correct answer label associated with a corresponding image.
