A first skim coat layer is included on one side of the core, facing a first (face) cover sheet. A second skim coat layer is included on the other side of the core, facing a second (back) cover sheet. At least the second skim layer is formed from a slurry that contains starch. The stucco material generally includes a high salt impurity content, for example, when the stucco is calcined from certain sources of low-quality synthetic gypsum. For example, in some embodiments, the salts are chloride salts, e.g.

Abstract: An integrated circuit to drive fluid actuators is disclosed. The integrated circuit includes delay circuits coupled in series and to a fire input to receive a fire signal in succession. Each delay circuit receives the fire signal and, after a delay, provides the fire signal via an output to a corresponding fluid actuator. A programmable frequency generator is coupled to each of the of delay circuits. The programmable frequency generator provides a clock signal having an adjustable frequency to control the delay.

Abstract: An inkjet printing apparatus includes a printing unit having ejection parts, each configured to eject ink by using a piezoelectric element to be displaced in response to a change in electric potential. The inkjet printing apparatus also includes a circulation unit, a determination unit, and a control unit. The circulation unit executes ink circulation in a circulation path inclusive of the printing unit. The determination unit ejects the ink from each ejection part, detects residual vibration generated at an ejection part due to ink ejection, and determines an ejection state of ink ejection at the ejection part based on the detected residual vibration. The inkjet printing apparatus determines a printing state of ink ejection in the printing unit based on the ejection state. The control unit causes the determination unit not to make the ejection state determination in parallel with causing the circulation unit to execute the ink circulation.
