It is suspected, that the co-absorbing additive is not simply adding a contrast to the polymer by carbonizing the surrounding polymer but helping the bismuthoxide to couple the laser radiation and to ease the color change of this additive. This so found effect helps to cheapen the replacement of antimony trioxide and therewith have a safer and more sustainable solution for the current and future technology of laser marking.

Abstract: The technology provides a multi-piece wheel for a vehicle that is disassembled to laterally rotate directional tires without needing to dismount a tire from a rim. The multi-piece wheel includes a rim housing with threaded apertures provided at side edges proximate to an outboard flange and an inboard flange. The multi-piece wheel includes a face that is removably coupled to the rim housing, the face having a bore that centers the face on an axle hub, a disk that is concentric with the bore; and spokes that are mechanically coupled to the disk and extend outwardly therefrom, the spokes having apertures at an end opposite to the disk that align with the threaded apertures in the rim housing. The multi-piece wheel further includes a fastener that releasably couples the face and the rim housing and a secondary fastening mechanism that mechanically engages the spokes and the rim housing.

Abstract: In one aspect of the present disclosure, a wheel hub assembly is provided that includes a hub body having an outboard end portion and an inboard end portion, a bearing assembly, and a seal. The seal includes a seal case and a sleeve. The hub body and seal case are rotatable relative to the sleeve. The wheel hub assembly further includes a stop of the bearing assembly configured to resist movement of the sleeve toward the outboard end portion of the hub body as the hub body, bearing assembly, and sleeve are advanced together in an inboard direction along a vehicle spindle. The stop permits the bearing assembly to transfer a force applied in an inboard axial direction against the bearing assembly, such as by tightening of a spindle nut, to the sleeve and urge the sleeve along a vehicle spindle.

Abstract: A caster hub is provided that includes a housing having a wall with internal and external surfaces and an axial bore defined by the wall. First and second bearings are disposed coaxially in the bore of the housing. Each bearing has a cylindrical inner race and a cylindrical outer race, with the races separated by rolling elements, and the races defining interior and exterior radial end faces of the bearings. A seat is disposed in the bore that is connected to the internal surface of the wall between the first and second bearings. The seat is engageable with the outer races of the bearings at the confronting interior end faces of the bearings. An inner spacer is disposed in the bore between the first and second bearings, the inner spacer being engageable with the inner races of the bearings at the confronting interior end faces of the bearings.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a bicycle hub that provides improved drive line efficiency and bike-to-rider torque feedback. The drive line efficiencies are due to lower rolling resistance resulting from a novel bearing and sprag clutch configuration, a lightweight design, and immediate torque transfer from the cassette drive to the hub body. The bike-to-rider feedback has been improved as the torque transfer is smooth, predictable, and immediate.
