Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for generating a medical image is provided. In some embodiments, the medical image is generated by determining a location and an alignment for a first tracking detector with respect to a particle beam system. The direction of a beam generated from the particle beam system is determined. A first position of a first particle from a detected particle hit on the first tracking detector is also determined. A determination is made as to a first residual range of the first particle from a detected particle hit on a residual range detector. The system reconstructs a path for the first particle based on the location, the alignment, the first position, and the first residual range of the first particle. The resulting medical image that is generated by the system is based on the reconstructed path for the first particle.

Abstract: An image interpretation support apparatus includes an acquisition unit, an acceptance unit, and a specifying unit. The acquisition unit acquires a two-dimensional standard image having information on a breast, and a plurality of tomographic images in a plurality of tomographic planes of the breast which are obtained by tomosynthesis imaging of the breast. The acceptance unit accepts a selection instruction of a location on the two-dimensional standard image. In a case where the selection instruction is accepted in the acceptance unit, the specifying unit specifies a corresponding tomographic plane corresponding to a selected location which is the location of which the selection instruction is accepted in the acceptance unit, from among the plurality of tomographic planes on the basis of the plurality of tomographic images.

Abstract: A CPU and an FPGA of the imaging control device receive first identification information and a preparation completion signal indicating that preparation for receiving radiation has been completed from a radiation detector and transmit the first identification information and irradiation conditions of the radiation associated with the first identification information to a radiation generation unit. Then, the CPU and the FPGA receive, from the radiation generation unit, second identification information copied from the first identification information by the radiation generation unit in a case in which irradiation with radiation has succeeded. Then, the CPU and the FPGA collate the first identification information and the second identification information, and determine whether or not to perform automatic brightness control, which sets a brightness level of the radiographic image to a prescribed level and updates the irradiation conditions on the basis of the radiographic image, according to a collation result.
