  • Patent number: 11064826
Abstract: A novel pillow is provided to easily adjust its height by pulling a lever on the side of the pillow to activate the air control valve configured to personalize the head support needed for that individual. Pulling the lever to a fully open position creates a larger air passage to the inflatable bladder and activates an air pump for rapid inflation of the pillow so as to increase its height. With a user head laying over the pillow, pulling a lever slightly opens up a smaller opening suitable for gradual deflation of the pillow and reducing its height caused by the pressure generated by the head. Soft comfort portion on top of the pillow enclosed in a stretchable fabric reduces surface tension and creates a softer feeling for the user thereby improving comfort and consequently sleep quality. An altimeter may be incorporated with the bladder to easily monitor sleep patterns of the user.

  • Patent number: 11064833
Abstract: Food stuffs are cooked at precise temperatures, which are optionally below 100° C., in a vessel that is evacuated to exclude air, in which low pressure steam replaces the air. When a sufficient quantity of air is excluded and replaced with water vapor, the temperature of vapor is accurately measured inside the vessel below the lid to control the temperatures within about 1° C. Air is preferably excluded via a controlled heated process for a relatively short period of time at high temperature to generate steam, the temperature is lowered to condense water vapor upon which the lid will sealingly engage the rim of the vessel, forming a partial vacuum in the cooking vessel.

Abstract: Provided are a processor device, an endoscope system, and a method of operating a processor device capable of narrowing down a plurality of index values to the index value required to diagnose a lesion. An image obtained by imaging an observation target including a structure is acquired. An index value calculation unit 70 performs an index value calculation process of calculating a plurality of index values obtained by indexing a property of the structure on the basis of the image. An index value arithmetic processing unit 74 controls the index value calculation unit 70 according to a processing order in which a first index value is calculated and then a second index value different from the first index value is calculated among the plurality of index values.

  • Patent number: 11064865
Abstract: An endoscope apparatus provided in the invention has forced disposability of a cannula by the means and techniques put in place so that the parts in contact with organic tissues or the detection of container extraction cannot be used, re-used, or if re-used, in a way that aligns with their operating limits. Activation of the cannula is detected and traced using sensors or wireless intercommunication devices so that when a certain time lapses or a certain number of activations after the first activation of the cannula, a limited usage means disables the cannula in mechanical or electrical way to ensure forced disposability of the cannula.

Abstract: A medical-endoscopic shank instrument includes a hollow shank (2), a distal side housing (8) in the hollow shank, an electronic picture sensor (14) and/or a light located in the housing. The housing is linearly movable to move the picture sensor and/or the light from within an inner lumen (22) of the hollow shank to outside the inner lumen. The housing is displaceable through an opening (20) formed on a peripheral wall of the hollow shank. An inner-lying outer side (26), opposite and away from the opening, is formed on a peripheral wall of the hollow shank and is supported on an elongate carrier (32) which is guided in the hollow shank. The elongate carrier (32) is configured elastically resiliently transverse to longitudinal extensions thereof and extends essentially over a whole length of the hollow shank and is fixed in a region of the proximal end/proximally of the hollow shank.

Abstract: Several embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to medical visualization systems that comprise combinations of disposable and resuable components, such as catheters, functional handles, hubs, optical devices, etc. Other embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to features and aspects of an in-vivo visualization system that comprises an endoscope having a working channel through which a catheter having viewing capabilities is routed. the catheter may obtain viewing capabilities by being constructed as a vision catheter or by having a fiberscope or other viewing device selectively routed through one of its channels. The catheter is preferably of the steerable type so that the distal end of the catheter may be steered from its proximal end as it is advanced with the body. A suitable use for the in-vivo visualization system includes but is not limited to diagnosis and/or treatment of the duodenum, and particularly the biliary tree.
