Abstract: A medical face shield device is provided and includes a visor, a face shield, and an elastic strap. The face shield has apertures at locations that align with protrusions of the visor when the visor is attached to the face shield for attachment. The elastic strap is attached to the visor by feeding the elastic strap through the plurality of slots. The elastic strap is held in place and attached to the visor solely by friction between the plurality of slots and the elastic strap without use of an additional attachment mechanism to attach the elastic strap to the visor.

Abstract: Garments for medical or assisted living use are disclosed. A garment embodiment includes a fabric body core element having a front side and a back side, two fabric arm elements, each attached at a proximal end to an upper area of the body core element on the left and right sides, two fabric dignity panels attached to sides of the body core element to extend partially across the back side of the core section so as to at least partially cover a user's back when worn, and a fabric lower pocket attached to the back side of the body core element at a lower section of the core element.

Abstract: A protective garment that can be worn by hematology and oncology patients innocuously as to encourage physical activity via participation in non-contact sports is disclosed. More specifically, the protective garment having portacatch and G-tube protective, monitoring, and/or medicine administrating enabling features. In accordance with some aspects, the portacath and G-tube protective features include protective areas including a padding that is sufficiently large to accommodate for some movement relative to the body. Moreover, one or more sensors may be included in the protective garment and may be configured to be in communication with a processor as to enable monitoring and transmission of data relating to condition(s) detected. An integrated/exterior signaling/actuating electronic device may be used to receive data and perform a programmed action corresponding to the condition(s) detected.

Abstract: A combination glove and phone mount assembly for mounting a personal electronic device to a user's hand includes a glove that is wearable on a user's hand. A track is coupled to and extends partially around the glove. A receiver slidably engages the track thereby facilitating the receiver to be slid substantially around the glove. A mount is removably attachable to the receiver and the mount releasably engages a personal electronic device. In this way the mount retains the personal electronic device on the glove to facilitate hands free use of the personal electronic device.

Abstract: This present patent application discloses a glove designed to facilitate comfort while preventing fist clenching, arthritic pain, and hand cramps, and secures conveniently to the hand and wrist via adjustable hook and loop fastener straps. The invention also features a netting or attachment area integrated into a portion of the glove which is capable of supporting and holding therapeutic aids while the user is asleep or to help involuntary muscle contractions. The netting area allows the wearer to squeeze the therapeutic aid if needed, and prevents the user from clenching their hand into a fist while sleeping, minimizing the effects of PTSD, arthritis, etc. in the hands and joints.

Abstract: A system and method of selectively connecting at least two articles of clothing is provided. First and second articles, which may comprise a glove and jacket sleeve or cuff, have mating geometries and at least one fastener to securely and selectively connect the two articles. In certain embodiments, magnets are provided as fasteners to connect the articles. For example, in certain embodiments, a method and system is provided that comprises features adapted to allow connection of an accessory (e.g. ski glove) to a portion of another article (e.g. jacket).

Abstract: A disposable hand covering having an cohesive applied to the ends of an arm segment is disclosed. Peeling back a cover strip allows the arm section to be securely fastened to the wearer's arm. The hand covering can be used to handle contaminated material and can then be removed by the wearer. Antimicrobial technology applied to the hand covering reduces the chances of contamination. A covering strip allows easy removal without contact with the contaminated outside of the hand covering. When the disposable hand covering is removed, it everts to form a pouch. After eversion of the hand covering, an cohesive on the ends of the arm segment allows for closure of a pouch. The contaminated outside of the hand covering and any contaminated material which was held by the covered hand is contained within the pouch, allowing for safe disposal of the hand covering and its contents.

Abstract: A method of combining an auxiliary with a garment includes providing a garment that has an elastic strap attached to it, so that the garment and strap can cooperate to hold the garment in place on a person wearing the garment. The strap has a length with a perforation positioned along the strap length. Tension is applied to stretch the strap to enlarge the perforation, and a solid item that is tethered to an auxiliary is inserted into the stretched perforation. Releasing the tension on the strap so the enlarged perforation resumes an unenlarged size retains the tethered solid item and its tethered auxiliary attached to the strap.

Abstract: Easy-fitting chemotherapeutic coif worn under, and configured to function in association with, the cooling-fluid circulating (heat-exchanging) cap of a scalp-cooling device or system. Finlike protrusions from left and right temporal pieces of the coif are furnished with hook-and-loop fasteners that oppose counterpart hook-and-loop fasteners furnished on left and right sides of the outer surface of a nape-covering section of the coif. Fitting the heat-exchanging cap over the coif on a wearer's head connects the opposing the hook-and-loop fasteners to fit the coif to the wearer's head dimensions, and firmly cover the nape. A handle is provided on an edge portion of a frontal section of the coif, and with the heat-exchanging cap in place may be tugged on by the wearer to pull out any wrinkles in the coif to eliminate any gap between the coif and the heat-exchanging cap.

Abstract: The device herein disclosed and described provides an eight point military utility cover that does not require pressing to maintain its shape. The utility cover has a cup-shaped crown portion, an outer circular rim portion, an inner circular rim portion and a semi-rigid bill portion. The crown portion is prepared from a first piece and a second piece of cloth, wherein a plurality of separate semi-rigid material sections are adhered to the first piece of cloth; one section on the front, one section on the back, three sections on the left side and three sections on the right side. The second piece of cloth is adhered to the plurality of separate semi-rigid material sections on the first piece of cloth forming a three layered sheet. This three layered sheet is folded into the cup-shaped crown and the folds are stitched to maintain the cup-shape of the crown.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for providing training opportunities based on data collected from monitoring a physiological parameter of persons engaged in physical activity. The physical activity can be a sporting activity, such as a contact sport (e.g., football, hockey, lacrosse) or a recreational activity or sport (e.g., biking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, motorsports). The system is configured with select components that perform a method of (i) recording data related to a physiological parameter of a person engaged in a physical activity (e.g., an impact received by a player engaged in a contact sport), (ii) analyzing the recorded data related to the physiological parameter while the person is engaged in a physical activity (e.g., is the received impact greater than a predetermined threshold), and (iii) providing post-physical activity analysis of the recorded data to make suggested changes in how the person engages in the physical activity.

When the clip element is installed, the clip element extends from the interior of the helmet to the exterior of the helmet through an opening in the helmet shell, so that the strap retainer is positioned outside the helmet shell. Abstract: An insole and/or outsole for a shoe such as an athletic shoe or cleat that includes a multilayer channeled assembly designed at preventing the transfer of heat from extremely hot ground surfaces, most notably synthetic turf, to the foot. In one embodiment, the insole includes a channeled layer of solid material with a very low thermal conductivity, preferably silicon or cork, as the base material beneath a layer of heat resistant felt preferably made of oxidized polyacrylonitrile fibers. The channeling in the base layer allows for air pockets to be created within the insole itself that makes the heat resistant felt more resistant to (i.e., more efficient at preventing) the transfer of heat. In another embodiment, the outsole for a shoe such as an athletic shoe or cleat includes a base layer of channeled solid material with low thermal conductivity, preferably silicon, cork, or polystyrene, below a layer of heat resistant felt preferably made of oxidized polyacrylonitrile fibers.

Abstract: A blower having high heat dissipation has a housing and a heating component; an intake air blocking part is provided in the housing; the intake air blocking part is at least partially located in the air passage of the blower; at least part of intake air can flow through the heating component after the direction of the intake air is changed when the intake air passes through the intake air blocking part.
