Abstract: A lumbar support device for an item of seating furniture, in particular an armchair, includes an electromotive linear drive including a guide profile and two sliding blocks movable on the guide profile in synchronism towards one another and away from one another. Each sliding block includes a spindle nut coupled by a spindle. The linear drive is coupled to an extendable support element via a lever mechanism which includes levers connecting the sliding blocks to the support element, respectively.

Abstract: A furniture accessory may include an armrest body and an insertion plate moveably coupled to the armrest body and configured for mounting to a furniture item. A moveable cover plate may provide access to a hollow interior of the armrest body. The furniture accessory may include a power output assembly for receiving and providing power to a detachable electrical accessory. The furniture accessory may include a power input interface and a power supply circuit for providing power from an external power source to the power output interface.

Abstract: A modular sofa assembly described herein includes a plurality of seating modules each having a seat section, a backrest section, and side edge surfaces. The backrest section includes first and second portions coupled for movement between a folded configuration and an extended configuration. An armrest module has an armrest side edge surface configured for mating engagement with a side edge surface of a seating module. The modular sofa is assembled by aligning connectors of the seating modules and armrest module, with each respective connectors slidingly engaged along an axis. After bringing the modules together, these connections are secured with the side edge surfaces in abutting engagement. The modular sofa further may include a power cradle mounted at the sofa's bottom surface. The power cradle includes a cubic power outlet near the front of the sofa, and power cable extending beyond the back of the sofa.

Abstract: An adjustable bed including a base frame unit, a front bed frame unit and a lumbar support unit. The front bed frame unit includes a back board which is hingedly connected relative to the base frame unit, and which is convertible between a back normal position, where an end of the back board is proximate to the base frame unit, and a back elevated position, where the end of the back board is distal from the base frame unit. The lumbar support unit includes a lumbar support, and is movably connected to the base frame unit such that in response to movement of the back board to the back elevated position from the back normal position, the lumbar support is moved to a remote position from a close position relative to the back board.

Abstract: A mattress includes a layer including a first surface and a second surface arranged opposite to the first surface. The layer defines a plurality of slits extending from the first surface to the second surface and arranged in a plurality of rows extending in a longitudinal direction. The slits in each row are arrayed linearly in the longitudinal direction and are disposed spaced apart from each other. The rows of the slits restrict a compression of the layer to an area under loading and prevent the surrounding portion of the layer from being pulled towards the area under loading.

Abstract: A foldable and rollable zoned spring mattress includes a zoned spring layer with first, second and third lateral regions. The central axis of the mattress passes through the second lateral region. The first lateral region is disposed between the second lateral region and the top of the mattress, and the third lateral region is disposed between the second lateral region and the bottom of the mattress. The second lateral region includes pocket springs comprised of individual metal coils each encased in a fabric pocket. The first and third lateral regions include coils that are connected to one another by parallel rows of helical-shaped wires that are oriented perpendicular to the central axis. The mattress is compressed and then folded at its central axis at the pocket springs of the second lateral region. The compressed and folded mattress is then rolled such that the helical-shaped wires are not folded or bent.

Abstract: An infant carrier has a wrap and a support belt allowing a wearer to secure a baby or infant on their back, side or front. The wrap has an upper pair of straps that are secured around the wearer's upper torso and a lower pair of straps that are secured around the waist of the wearer. The support belt is secured around the hips of the wearer. A zippered pouch is provided in the support belt into which the wrap may be folder for transport or storage.

Abstract: A novel and improved device to assuage distressed infants by means of adjustable vertical motion combined with adjustable orientation. The motion is adjustable in terms of amplitude, frequency and time. The device allows the infants to be held face-inward or face-outward in the case of vertical orientation and prone or supine in the case of horizontal orientation.

Abstract: Crib liners configured to reduce entanglement of an infant's appendages between vertical slats of a crib, and methods for fabricating such crib liners are described. The crib liner includes a bottom layer dimensioned to cover a lower surface of a crib and a side panel formed of a breathable material extending generally perpendicular from the bottom layer. The side panel is continuous in construction such that if forms a closed circuit around the bottom layer and is configured to form a closed circuit around the perimeter of the crib and extend beyond the top surface of the crib railing. Stays are attached at intervals along an edge of the side panel. The stays are configured to hold the crib liner in place relative to the crib.

Abstract: A fixture for storage and presentation of goods includes a support structure and a multitude of rod shelves disposed on the support structure. Each of the multitude of rod shelves includes support brackets and rods disposed between the support brackets. The fixture further includes a multitude of configurable trays disposed on the multitude of rod shelves and configured to hold the goods. Each of the multitude of configurable trays is removably clipped to the rods of one of the multitude of rod shelves to occupy substantially all available space between the support brackets.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides adhesive mounting articles that can be removed from surfaces without damage by having reduced contribution of a hardgood to the peel force generated by the adhesive article during removal. In some instances, this can be accomplished by a hardgood that is flexible in a peel direction and rigid in a weight hanging direction. Such hardgoods may include a plurality of minimally connected body segments arranged about the transverse axis of the hardgood body.

Abstract: One embodiment of a pillow for sleeping or resting having a supportive rigid or semi-rigid bowl (10) covered on its upper concave surface with a layer or layers of fill material (20) and a cover (12) which form a ridge (14) as they extend over the rim (18) of the bowl and fasten to an attachment site (16) on the lower convex surface of the bowl. The upper surface of the pillow receives the head of an individual securely and the pillow is capable of tilting in unison with the movement of the head in a plurality of directions to facilitate movement. The ridge of fill material provides comfort and gentle attenuation of the range of tilt of the pillow. Other embodiments are described as shown.

Abstract: A pillow that contains an item, such as a gift, wherein the pillow can be opened to access the gift. The pillow includes an aesthetic external appearance. This appearance may be provided by a printed covering that is disposed on the outside surface of the pillow. The pillow preferably includes one or more closure mechanisms, such as one or more zippers. Tethers may be provided on the closure mechanism(s), and piping may be included on the covering. The piping not only effectively hides the teeth of the closure mechanism (s), but also improves the look and style of the exterior of the pillow. A flap and tassels may instead be provided on the pillow. Given that the pillow is configured to contain an item, is configured to be opened to remove the item, is configured to be closed once the item has been removed, and has a decorative external appearance and/or brand recognition appearance, the pillow is unique in that it doubles as both packaging and a throw pillow useable after the item has been removed.

Abstract: A reusable beverage container has a glass cup having a formed mouth having a smooth exterior frustoconical surface which widens in exterior diameter towards a rim of the mouth. The mouth has a height of greater than 15 mm. A lid engages the mouth. The lid has a top section and an elastomeric skirt, the top section having a drinking aperture therethrough and the skirt defining an inner frustoconical surface and an outer surface. The inner frustoconical surface conforms in shape and size to the outer frustoconical surface and the skirt thickening towards a lower edge thereof.

Abstract: A kit for constructing a cake-protecting assembly, including at least two first elongated frame members, at least two second elongated frame members connectable to the pair of first elongated frame members to yield a frame defining a working plane, at least two leg members pivotably connected to each respective elongated first frame member, and at least two elongated stabilizing members connectable to extend orthogonally from a leg member connected to each respective elongated support member and oriented parallel to the working plane. Abstract: A portable reusable utensil is revealed. The portable reusable utensil includes an upper casing, a lower casing, and a utensil body. The utensil body is mounted in a receiving space formed between the upper casing and the lower casing detachably connected to each other for storage and easy to carry. While in use, a service end of the utensil body is facing outwards while an assembly of the upper casing and the lower casing is used as a part held with user's hand to serve food. The design makes the portable reusable utensil more convenient to use.

The neck portion is coupled to the hook portion on a first end of the neck portion and the hanging portion on a second end of the neck portion. The clip is coupled to the neck portion.

Abstract: An expandable garment hanger assembly has a central frame and housing assembly. An arm pair assembly with a right and left side arm portion is pivotally coupled to an interior portion of the frame and housing assembly and designed to be folded or laterally extended. The right and left side arm portions are rotatably engaged to move rotationally and simultaneously in the opposite direction. A release spring and lock assembly is disposed within the frame and housing assembly and designed to be locked when the arm pair assembly is closed. At least one depressible release assembly is coupled to the spring and lock assembly designed to release the spring and lock assembly to extend the right and left side arm portions. A right and left side arm extender portion is slidably coupled to the distal ends of the right and left side arms respectively and designed to extend or retract.

Abstract: A delivery receiving assembly for enabling secure unattended delivery of an item includes a housing, which has an opening positioned therein. A door is hingedly engaged to the housing and is positioned to cover the opening. A locking unit, which is engaged to one of the housing and the door and is selectively engageable to the other of the housing and the door, is positioned to secure the door over the opening. A keypad is engaged to one of the housing and the door. A microprocessor is engaged to the housing and is operationally engaged to the keypad and the locking unit. Upon entry of a code into the keypad, the microprocessor actuates the locking unit to unlock the door. An alarm is engaged to the housing and is operationally engaged to the microprocessor. The microprocessor selectively actuates the alarm upon entry of an incorrect code into the keypad.

Abstract: The disclosure provides an innovative delivery receptacle for receiving objects (such as parcels and mail) deposited into the receptacle and securely storing them once deposited. The receptacle allows for the orientation of the position of an input opening and delivery door for a delivering party, such as a courier, to deposit the objects in the receptacle to be changeable with respect to the orientation of an access opening and access door for a receiving party to remove the objects. In one embodiment, the delivery door also restricts access to the deposited objects while they are deposited into the receptacle. The receptacle may be a stand-alone receptacle or it may be a structure-mounted unit, such as installed in a wall or other structure. The receptacle may comprise a separate first and second sections that may be shipped separately and assembled with the desired orientation.

Abstract: A hanger, that is particularly useful for hanging ornaments from a tree branch, has a body that is preferably made of wire which has preferably been bent to form a heart shape or an oval shape. The body has a curved portion at each end, the curved portions preferably having the same curvature. A side extends from each curved portion. The opposite ends of the sides are connected together or connected to a bottom. When the sides are connected together the curved portions may be opposite one another giving the body a heart shape. In the embodiment having an oval shaped body the curved portions are side by side and overlap one another when no forces are acting on the body. The wire has a spring like property and memory such that forces acting on the ends or sides of the hanger in an outward direction will move the ends away from one another creating a space between the ends that is sufficiently large to enable a tree branch to pass through the opening and be surrounded by the hanger.

Abstract: A lemon juicing assembly for squeezing juice from a lemon includes a first lever that has a cup integrated therein to receive a lemon. A blade is fixed in the cup to slice the lemon when the lemon is urged downwardly in the cup. A second lever is pivotally coupled to the first lever and a plunger is integrated therein. The second lever is positionable in a closed position having the second lever lying on the first lever. Thus, the plunger compresses the lemon into the cup. In this way the lemon is sliced and the juice is squeezed from the lemon. The second lever is positionable in an open position having the second lever extending away from the first lever.

The packaging device also includes a venting system that allows the cooking of the perishable or frozen food products within the packaging device.

Abstract: The present invention may be used for self-heating edible fluids without an external heating source, and no or minimal leakage or spilling. It may consist of a fully sealed container body that prevents the leakage or mixing of an activation substance and edible fluid. A body inside of the container may behave as conductive wall separating the activation substance and edible fluid to prevent mixing. The invention includes a chemical pack tool that may be punctured into the container and seal the punctured hole so the is no leakage. As the exothermic reaction takes place, a built-in vent or existing one-way valves/vents may be used to prevent excess pressure build up, and then pushed back in to fully seal the container again when it is no longer needed.

Abstract: A collapsible platform assembly, method of assembly, and method of packaging is provided for herein. The platform assembly includes a first and second stand portion, which are connectable to one another to form a stand. One or more legs can be connected to the stand portions to provide a desired height to the stand. A cooking surface can be maintained by one or more arms extending from the stand portions. The assembly can be packaged in an compact container to provide advantages in shipping costs and logistics.

Abstract: System involved with but not limited to an apparatus including an outdoor griddle station with a system capable of communicating grease and other food byproducts from the cooking surface to a receptacle. A downwardly sloping opening in the cooking surface of the griddle member is disposed in nesting relation to and fluid communication with a basin situated beneath the griddle member. The basin is attached to a duct, forming a fluid transfer assembly that may pass through the heat source housing of the griddle station. The fluid transfer assembly is disposed over a receptacle capable of holding fluids. The receptacle may be removably supported by a bracket seat attached to the base of the griddle station such that the receptacle may be capable of being removed and replaced. Abstract: The present invention comprises a novel grill top device generally consisting of a trapezoidal prism-like body and an accompanying lid. The body will be placed on top of a preexisting grill or heat source which allows users to cook with their own grills. The design allows for heat to be trapped and concentrated within the body resulting in high temperatures and even heat distribution. The present invention cooks food in a vertical fashion. The lid is equipped with hooks on the bottom side which are used to hang skewers filled with food items. Skewers are exposed to the same amount of heat from all sides resulting in even cooking. The vertical cooking method prevents cancer causing char marks, ensures sauces or flavorings applied stays onto the food items and does not burn off during the cooking process, and makes flipping of the food items unnecessary.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a novel cooking device generally comprising a long, metal strip at the center with prongs attached to the sides, a hook for vertical hanging, and a handle. Food items of various sizes can be placed on the prongs which are designed to derive heat from the center strip (which acts as a heat channel) and distribute it to the center of the food items. This allows for even heat distribution throughout the entire food item. The prongs are angled to prevent the food items from sliding off. The handle acts as a gap between the heat source and food items when the current invention is hung vertically. It also allows the device to be held during food mounting or removal. The handle also acts as a heat absorber and delivers heat to the center strip. A hook allows the current invention to be hung vertically.

Abstract: A portioning device includes an integrated handle, actuating lever, and rack with teeth, with the handle having an aperture at the top. The rack is formed to be easily placed, and retained, in an initial position for assembly. One or more scoops are provided which may each be detachably connected the handle top end. A wiping blade may be detachably connected to the scoop for free rotation within the scoop. The wiping blade includes a shaft having a number of gear teeth, together with a camming surface leading to the first tooth on the shaft. Insertion of the scoop and wiping blade shaft into the handle aperture results in the first rack tooth acting as a camming surface and rotating the wiping blade to the proper clocking position with the first tooth of the shaft engaged with the first tooth of the rack. In this manner the number of component parts is reduced significantly, while at the same time allowing for re-use of the handle with the various interchangeable scoops.
