Abstract: A novel safety pin apparatus which combines a safety pin member, which can be used to pierce a fabric or a clothing item, without doing substantial damage, along with a safety pin cap, which protects the user from being stuck or stabbed by a safety pin member on the safety pin apparatus, once the safety pin apparatus has been properly located and the pin protecting device has been installed. The novel safety pin apparatus is used to hold together a shirt or blouse, hold an item such as a boutonniere to a suit coat, or merely for decorative purposes, among other uses.

Abstract: Systems relating to a mechanical closure or locking device configured to allow for quick connect and disconnect. The systems can be used in conjunction with compression garments. The systems can include a buckle that couples to an anchor. The buckle and anchor can include complementary features that can mechanically interface to secure the buckle and anchor together. The buckle and anchor can include complementary magnetic elements to secure the buckle and anchor together. The buckle can be manipulated to tighten or loosen an adjustable strap.

Abstract: A lace tensioning device includes a housing component having an interior region, a first aperture, and a second aperture, and a spool component that is rotatably positionable within the interior region of the housing component. The spool component has a central cylindrical member and a lumen that extends through the central cylindrical portion. The spool component is rotatable within the interior region of the housing component to align one end of the lumen with the first aperture and to align an opposite end of the lumen with the second aperture to enable a lace to be inserted through the first aperture, the lumen, and the second aperture so that opposing ends of the lace are positioned exterior to the housing component. A knot may then be tied in the lace and the lace retracted to couple the lace with the housing component and spool component.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to a garment locking device appliance. The garment locking device includes a first component including an extension and a base element at one end of the extension. The first component is configured to be secured to a first garment material. The garment locking device includes a second component including a body with a channel formed therein. The channel is dimensioned to accommodate passage of the base element therethrough. The second component is configured to be secured to a second garment material. Passage of the base element of the first component into the channel of the second component detachably couples the first component to the second component, and detachably couples the first garment material to the second garment material. The first and second components include complementary magnetic or ferromagnetic components to assist in detachably coupling the first and second components to each other.

Abstract: A display attachment can be attached to apparel such as, but not limited to, shoes or shirts and can also be attached to other objects such as, but not limited to, backpacks, notebooks, or clipboards in order to display interchangeable adornments, messages, and logos. The display attachment includes a design display, a display clip, and an attachment mechanism. The design display is a display that includes a design which may be, but is not limited to, adornments, messages, or logos. The display clip allows the display attachment to be attached onto apparel or other objects. The attachment mechanism may be any mechanism that allows the design display to be attached to the display clip. Thus, the user can remove the design display when desired in order to attach another design display to the display clip.

Abstract: The invention has two primary claims which in manipulating a clasp and connection to an opposing ring. Although applicable to any clasp system, it is especially relevant to jewelry connections in necklaces or bracelets whereby the connecting rings are quite small requiring visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate. This invention builds upon prior art described in the Spring Ring Patent No 267,112, Nov. 7, 1882. The first claim of this invention allows the user to pull back the plunger within the clasp ring and set it in a locked and open position allowing the user to gain manual dexterity for guiding the clasp towards the opposing ring. The second claim adds a feature in which a magnetic portion of the clasp and opposing ring allows the two rings to be guided towards each other and position them for connection. Since visual acuity is necessary, this magnetic guide is critical.

Abstract: A device for finely adjusting the length of a bracelet inserted between two elements of the bracelet and includes an outer part attached to one, an inner part attached to the other and to slide in the outer part parallel to the longitudinal direction of the bracelet, causing the length of the bracelet to be varied, and a stop arranged to limit the travel of the inner part relative to the outer part so the bracelet cannot be extended beyond a maximum length. The outer part includes a wall having an immobilization hole on its inner side. The inner part includes a pivoting lever with a first end biased by a spring toward the outer part wall, permitting the first end to engage the immobilization hole, immobilizing the inner part relative to the outer part. The inner part has a control member permitting manual control of the lever.

Abstract: A storage container for retaining personal protective equipment. The storage container is a case comprising a pair of compartments connected along one side by a hinge. Each compartment has a rigid exterior protecting an interior cavity dimensioned to retain and protect a bottle of hand sanitizer, a reusable facemask, disposable gloves, or a combination thereof. Each compartment is lined with an antimicrobial layer to protect the encapsulated personal protective equipment. At least one compartment comprises a retaining element to further secure the personal protective equipment within the case. The compartments open and close like a clam shell with a securing clasp opposite the hinge. The case is attachable to an external attachment point, such as a backpack or a belt loop via a clip or carabiner attached to the case by an attachment point on the exterior of the case.

The hair treatment method includes inserting a lock of hair into the hair holder, rolling up the tubular body together with the lock of hair inserted in the tubular body so that a large diameter portion that has a tubular shape and forms an outer circumferential portion and a small diameter portion that is located inside the large diameter portion and has a space between the small diameter portion and the large diameter portion are formed, and performing curling while maintaining this wound state.

Abstract: A bobby pin that includes an upper leg member and a lower leg member, each leg member having a length defined by two ends. The bobby pin includes the upper leg member and the lower leg member being operably connected by a spring member, commonly a bend in the bobby pin, but it could be another spring mechanism. The bobby pin includes at least a portion of the length of at least one of the upper leg member or the lower leg member including a gripper material to improve holding performance. In one embodiment, both the upper and lower leg members may be coated with a gripper material. In another embodiment, at least a portion of the length of the upper leg member or the lower leg member may include a channel defined therein and at least a portion of the channel may be filled with a gripper material.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hair accessories and more specifically to a hair accessory for maintaining previously styled hair. In accordance with aspects and embodiments, a hair accessory is provided having a stretchable loop and an arc affixed perpendicularly to the stretchable loop. A user can pull styled hair through the stretchable loop, wrap the styled hair concentrically around the arc, and secure the accessory in the hair such that the hair is up but is able to be returned to its previously styled state by removing the accessory.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hair accessories and more specifically to a curling hair accessory. In accordance with aspects and embodiments, a curling hair accessory is provided having an elongated rope with stretchable loops at its ends. The elongated rope has at least one hair fastener positioned about its midpoint. A user can use the fastener to fix the accessory to the crown of the head and wrap sections of damp or dry hair with a styling product dispersed throughout around the elongated rope. Once the hair is wrapped, the rope can be secured into a bun with the stretchable loop and help in place until the hair is set into a curl.

Abstract: Modulation techniques designed to prolong battery life in a battery-powered hair dryer that utilizes infrared technology as part of the heating element. Modulation techniques can be used to extend battery run time without significant degradation and optimize end-of-life performance.

Abstract: A battery-operated hair dryer comprises a battery (B), and a fan (F) having rotating fan blades propelled by a motor (M) that is powered by the battery (B), and non-rotating static air flow-shaping vanes (V) between the motor (M) and a motor mount (MM), which non-rotating static airflow-shaping vanes (V) serve as cooling ribs for the battery (B) that is mounted adjacent to the fan (F). Preferably, the battery (B) is positioned adjacent to a motor mount (MM) of the motor (M) of the fan (F). Advantageously, the battery (B) is at least partly positioned in a handle of the battery-operated hair dryer, the fan (F) being positioned adjacent to the handle.

Abstract: Proposed is a sliding color cosmetic case comprising a lower sliding member, a color cosmetic case, an inclined protrusion member, and a sliding cover member. According to the present invention, when the lower sliding member of the color cosmetic case slides to one side, a mirror cover in which an application tip is embedded stands tilted so as to allow a user to easily see a mirror and easily take out the application tip.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a fluid from a source of fluid comprises a roller and a tray member. The tray member comprises a pair of spaced walls having a contiguous tapered inner surface for defining an arcuate recess in an outer surface of the tray member, the outer surface tapering to an outer edge of each wall. Roller mounting means includes a pair of resilient spaced arms, each one of the arms spanning between and interconnecting the ends of the spaced wall. The tray member defines a pair ports spaced along a central longitudinal axis of the tray member for providing fluid communication between the source of fluid and the tray member. The roller is rotatably mounted to the spaced arms for receiving fluid from the tray member and applying the fluid onto a surface.

Mascara is squeezed from a tube onto the applicators with polymer cushion and polymer cushion with protrusions, while the applicator with the mascara crayon on it can be used directly.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for temporary non-surgical correction of submental fullness. The apparatus includes a pair of adhesive tabs disposed at opposite ends of a flexible band. A release paper protects an adhesive layer of the adhesive tabs until ready for use. The release paper may include indicia disposed in a spaced apart relation for trimming the apparatus to a desired size. The adhesive tabs are applied to the skin at the lateral aspects of the neck such that the flexible band applies a tension to the user's skin to draw the excess skin rearwardly towards the nape of the wearer's neck, providing a desired corrected appearance.

Abstract: A load carrying and force distributing device to be worn on a user's limb is described. The device has one or more support members and a plurality of elongated compression members that couple with each of the support members at locations that are circumferentially spaced around the user's limb. The space between the plurality of compression members provides a relief area. The load carrying and force distributing device compresses the soft tissue of the limb against the bone structure to thereby reduce motion of the bone structure towards a wall of the load carrying and force distributing device when worn on the limb. A method of fitting a load carrying and force distributing device to a limb is also described. The method includes coupling the elongated compression members to each of the support members and adjusting compression to thereby reduce motion of the bone towards a wall of the device.

A second part of the tube extends from the first part transverse to the direction of the waist belt-receiving passage, and an opening in the second part enables the second part to serve as a pocket for receiving and holding an elongated article. The waist belt-receiving passage can be formed by opposed elongated openings in the wall of the tube. Alternatively, the waist belt-receiving passage can be formed by bending the tube to form a loop. In the latter case, a portion the tube extends from the loop, through an opening, into the interior of tube and then outward from an open end of the first part. Here, the outwardly extending portion of tube is the second part, and serves as the pocket.

Abstract: A cosmetic brush with an elongated handle with an insert that receives a removable brush head. The insert in the handle that receives various brush heads in an interlocking relationship. The insert has a color-coded flange at the top of the handle and the brush head also has a color-coded collar at its base. Only brush heads with the same colored collar as the brush handle's flange can be received in an interlocking relationship with the handle. A ring on the insert is releasably latched into the brush head to retain the brush head in a latched relationship for use and can be pulled apart when the brush head is to be removed and replaced with an alternate brush head.

Besides, the toothed tongue scraper repeatedly carries the tongue coating away from the user's tongue through the receiving recess.

Abstract: A toilet brush holder comprising a holder body and a barrel body, wherein the barrel body is movably sleeved with the holder body, and an elastic member is arranged between the holder body and the barrel body. The holder body is hinged with barrel covers which are opened and closed along with up-down movement of the barrel body. The barrel body comprises an inner barrel arranged in the holder body, and the holder body comprises a ventilation hole. When the toilet brush is placed in the inner barrel, the barrel body moves down relative to the holder body, propelling the barrel covers closed at the holder body, and allowing the inner barrel to communicate with exterior of the holder body through the ventilation hole. The ventilation hole allows residual water left on the toilet brush to be quickly drained and prevents the breeding of bacteria and generation of foul smell.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to the field of paint brushes. More specifically, the present invention relates to an improved paint brush that is comprised of a hollow body and hollow stem. The stem of the brush can further receive a hose, wherein the hose can allow water to flow through the stem and body, and out of the top surface of the body via a plurality of continuous openings. The top surface also receives a brush head assembly that is comprised of a hollow base and a plurality of bristles. The brush head assembly is further removably secured to the top surface via a sidewall and a locking member that can be engaged or disengaged from a locked position to allow the assembly to be removed from the body for cleaning or replacement.

Abstract: A toothbrush sanitizing device is provided. The device includes a container having a base, a perimeter wall, and an open upper end defining an interior volume. A lid is removably securable over the open upper end of the container. An elongated connecting rod is connected to the interior face of the lid. A draining base is secured to a distal end of the elongated connecting rod. The elongated connecting rod includes one or more connectors that contour to and support the head of a toothbrush. The elongated connecting rod further includes one or more fasteners that receive and support the handle of the toothbrush. In operation, the container may be filled with a safe cleaning solution and a toothbrush secured to the elongated connecting rod. When the lid is secured to the container, the toothbrush will be submersed in the safe cleaning solution for cleaning.

A strike plate is non-rotatably secured to the axle, with the strike plate having first and second circumferentially spaced and radially extending stop surfaces. A worksurface is rotatably supported on the axle and includes first and second circumferentially spaced stop surfaces. The worksurface is rotatable about the rotation axis between a use position and a stowed position. A latch assembly is coupled to and rotatable with the worksurface between the use and stowed positions. The latch assembly includes a lock bolt moveable in the longitudinal direction between a disengaged position, wherein the lock bolt is longitudinally displaced from the strike plate, and an engaged position, wherein the lock bolt engages the second stop surface of the strike plate when the worksurface is in the use position. An actuation mechanism is also provided.

Abstract: A foldable table includes a supporting frame, tabletop and auxiliary support. The supporting frame includes first and second mounting assemblies pivotally connected to each other. The tabletop includes first and second panels coupled with the first and second mounting assemblies such that the first and second panels are rotatable with respect to each other between a folded position and an unfolded position. The auxiliary support includes an auxiliary bar and one or more linking assemblies. The auxiliary bar is coupled with the supporting frame, and each of one or more linking assemblies is coupled with the first and second panels. When the first and second panels are in the unfolded position, each of the one or more linking assemblies abuts the auxiliary bar toward the first and second panels. As such, the auxiliary support provides support to the first and second panels and enhances stability of the foldable table.

Abstract: A beverage rack assembly is provided that is lightweight, easy to assemble and disassemble, and can be set in multiple orientations to accommodate various environments. The rack assembly includes two lattices that are made out of sticks coupled to each other at slots in the sticks. The lattices are joined together by risers that include two ends, each of the ends including four appendages shaped as triangular-prisms, and that attach to the two lattices at each of the stick couplings. Portions of the sticks that extend beyond the terminal couplings together form support structures on multiple sides of the rack that allow the rack to be set at various orientations. The rack is made out lightweight materials, such as wood or plastic, further contributing to the portability of the rack and the rack's components. Further, the rack includes additional stabilizing elements that improve strength and stability of the rack.

Abstract: This present invention relates to a firearm storage system comprised of a headboard cabinet for concealing firearms, ammunition and other items of value. Portions of the firearm storage system are quickly and securely repositionable between a concealed position and an open position, thereby giving the user quick access to his or her firearms in a time of need. More specifically, the secure headboard or cabinet includes an electronic lift that may be controlled by a wireless activator that raises a concealed portion of the cabinet upwards, thereby revealing the drawers or cabinets containing the firearms.

The platform is configured to move between a first position and a second position while the outer frame remains stationary. A cushion is coupled to the platform and is fully upholstered to the platform such that a cover material encloses the cushion and the platform. Movement of the platform causes one or more bending portions of the cushion to bend. The chaise further comprises one or more cords, each extending through the cushion with a first end coupled to the cover material and a second end coupled to the platform. The cords are configured to pull on the cover material such that movement of the platform from the first position to the second position does not result in bunching of the cover material near the bending portions of the cushion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a collapsible chair. The chair includes a backrest for engaging with a sitter's back. A seat extends from the backrest and is where the sitter can sit. A retractable leg support may extend from the seat and can be extended to support the sitter's legs with feet off the ground. Advantageously, the sitter's feet may be safely off the ground away from ants and sand.
