Abstract: A toilet system comprising a toilet seat that is configured for a user to sit on or squat over for depositing of human waste. The toilet seat can include a toilet seat body with a toilet seat opening. A riser can be configured to support and elevate the toilet seat to a selected or prescribed height and can include a riser body with a riser opening and a first riser attachment portion being connectable to one or more seat attachment portions of the toilet seat. A base can include a base body that has a base opening and a base attachment portion that is connectable to a second riser attachment portion of the riser and/or the one or more seat attachment portions of the toilet seat. A plurality of inserts can be configured to be at least partially received within the riser opening and/or the base opening to allow for reconfiguration of the toilet system.

Abstract: A storm water drain tank module for assembly into a storm tank for storage of storm water includes a top platen, a bottom platen and a support spacer. The top platen has an upper surface and a top platen peripheral edge. The bottom platen has a bottom surface and a bottom platen peripheral edge. The support spacer is attached to the top and bottom platens to space the top platen relative to the bottom platen. A plurality of tabs and a plurality of slots are defined proximate the top and bottom platen peripheral edges, respectively. Each of the plurality of tabs extends outwardly away from the top and bottom platen peripheral edges, respectively, and each of the plurality of slots extends into the top and bottom platen peripheral edge. The plurality of slots is open in a lateral direction.

Abstract: A flange connector is embedded in precast concrete structural member for use in joining adjacent concrete members together, wherein the flange connector is characterized by a center plate and legs extending back from each side of the center plate. Each of the legs is provided with projections extending from the top edge and bottom edge of the leg, in the same plane defined by the height and length of the leg. The projections extending from the top edge and the bottom edge of the leg may be mirror images of each other, so that the cross-sectional area of the leg is substantially the same over the portion of the leg with the projections. The legs of the flange connector may incorporate additional enhancements to increase the resistance to pull out, including a neck formed by notches in the top and bottom of each leg, adjacent the transition region extending from the center plate and one or more embossments creating a convex area on one side of each leg and a concave area on the opposite side of each leg.

Abstract: A rapidly deployable cleanroom is constructed from multiple modular building sections that are side-by-side and have similarly sized lengths, as well as user-accessible panels in multiple of them for air, water, power, networking, and other utilities at a similar internal location along their lengths. The utility panels can be standardized such that each panel is substantially identical to one another. The modular building sections can be drawn together using tension cables within lateral hollow extruded structural tubes beneath and/or above the cleanroom, the tension system utilizing jackscrews to pull everything tight. Because the utility panels are at the same longitudinal location in the building sections, the joined structure and resulting open space “ballroom” style cleanroom has the utility panels aligned with each other inside the cleanroom.

Abstract: A connector and a method of manufacturing a connector are provided for joining a precast concrete structure and a support structure such as a floor joist. An attachment member of the connector is assembled in a manner that allows forces to be transferred through a protrusion and aperture connection, which reduces the forces transferred through welded joints. As a result, the attachment member requires less welding and saves time and costs when installing the connector. In some embodiments, a support is secured to a horizontal plate which increases the rigidity of the horizontal plate and the ability of the horizontal plate to transfer forces from a support structure to a precast concrete structure.

Abstract: An underlayment that meets underlayment requirements and provides thermal insulation is disclosed. The underlayment includes a core material and an upper emittance layer having an exterior surface. An upper reinforcement layer is positioned between the upper emittance layer and the core material. A first encapsulation layer is positioned between the upper emittance layer and the upper reinforcement layer. A second encapsulation layer is positioned between the upper reinforcement layer and the core material. The underlayment includes a lower emittance layer having an exterior surface. A lower reinforcement layer is positioned between the lower emittance layer and the core material. A third encapsulation layer is positioned between the lower emittance layer and the lower reinforcement layer. A fourth encapsulation layer is positioned between the lower reinforcement layer and the core material.

Abstract: An approved dynamic construction is used for effectively thermally insulating and sealing of a safing slot between a floor of a building and an exterior wall construction. The exterior wall construction includes a curtain wall configuration defined by an interior wall glass surface, including one or more aluminum framing members. In particular, a process is useful for assembling a fireproof system within a stick build exterior dynamic curtain wall façade, which includes glass, especially vision glass extending to the finished floor level below.

Abstract: A fire blocking system for building panels includes a fireproof block held in place between two beams or studs on opposing fastener members. The fireproof block is preferably held adjacent a slab or other structure, and is preferably of the same thickness. Thus, fire and smoke is prevented from or at least delayed from passing from one side of the structure to the other through the building panel (e.g., from passing from one floor to the next). The fire blocking system reduces the use of fire proofing materials required for building panels, while simultaneously improving the fire blocking capabilities of the building panels to meet building codes for fire resistance.

Abstract: A modular wall unit for a modular wall system includes a first elongate reinforcement member comprising at least one tubular portion for connecting the wall unit to a further wall unit of the wall system. The wall unit also includes a body at least partially surrounding the reinforcement member along its elongate length. The reinforcement member provides strength to the wall unit and allows a connecting element to engage with the at least one tubular portion. The connecting element can connect the wall unit to a further wall unit. This allows formation of a wall system where multiple wall units are interconnected via the reinforcement members and connecting elements. A kit including a wall unit and one or more plugs for assembling a plurality of wall units, a method for forming a wall unit, and a hanging device for supporting a frame are also described.

In some embodiments, the antimicrobial scavenger layer is configured to capture the at least one antimicrobial agent so as to reduce the initial concentration of the at least one antimicrobial agent in the runoff.

Abstract: A flashing overlay system for overlaying roofing materials occupying a roof valley includes multiple planar flashing units having at least one first non-planar feature, the flashing units arranged in pairs including a left flashing unit and a right flashing unit, the flashing unit pairs covering the roofing materials occupying the roof valley along the length and track of the roof valley, the paired flashing units abutted together along the edges of the planar material supporting the at least one first non-planar feature, the first non-planar features aligned generally with the center line of the roof valley. The units are tired together with at least one elongated saddle strip folded over at longitudinal center and clamped over, fastened over, or otherwise fitted over the abutted first non-planar features of the multiple planar flashing units paired together and overlaying the roofing materials occupying the roof valley.

A plurality of drain holes through the bottom plate allows water to drain out of the sheath-protecting bracket.

The bend in the package of compressed loosefill insulation material is configured to control the descent and direction of the loosefill insulation material entering the shredding chamber.

Abstract: A window device with a cementitious board as a frame material the device being a single or double window apparatus with an exterior configured with a cementitious board or structure and configured with such frames that are easily formed and readily adaptable to substantially any size or shape opening. The cementitious board window allows for a low maintenance, paintable or pre-painted panels that are moisture and rot resistant, are not susceptible to pest, and provide a surface which is durable over time, is non-combustible, and has materials with little environmental impact. The device is used with new or replacement windows for a commercial or residential structure.
