  • Patent number: 11492993
Abstract: An engine system is provided, which includes an engine, a swirl control valve, an EGR passage, an EGR gas adjusting mechanism, and a controller. The engine includes a cylinder, a piston, and a fuel injection valve. The swirl control valve is provided inside an intake passage and generates a swirl flow inside the cylinder when it closes. When an engine load is at or below a given threshold, the controller controls the swirl control valve to close. While the engine load is the threshold or below, the controller controls the EGR gas adjusting mechanism such that, at a fixed engine speed, an increase rate of an EGR gas amount with respect to an increase in the engine load is lower in a first load range than in a second load range, the first load range being on a higher load side of the second load range and including the threshold.

  • Patent number: 11492999
Abstract: A bypass turbofan engine comprising a nacelle surrounding a flow path for a secondary flow and comprising a fixed structure, a mobile assembly with a slide capable of translational movement on the fixed structure and bearing a mobile cowl and a frame capable of translational movement on the fixed structure and bearing deflectors. The mobile assembly is able to move between a forward position and a retreated position making it possible to open a passage between the flow path and the outside through the deflectors. A differentiation mechanism ensures a length of travel of the slide that is different from the length of travel of the frame, and actuators providing a translational travel of the slide. Abstract: A variable frequency drive system and a method of controlling a pump driven by a motor with the pump in fluid communication with a fluid system is provided. The method includes monitoring a pressure in the fluid system, monitoring and adjusting an operating frequency of the motor to maintain the pressure at a pressure set point, and, based on the monitored operating frequency, causing the pump to temporarily boost the pressure in the fluid system to a temporary boost set point for a first time period. The method also includes determining whether the temporarily boosted pressure in the fluid system stays above the pressure set point for a second time period and causing the pump to enter a sleep mode when the temporarily boosted pressure stays above the pressure set point through the second time period.

  • Patent number: 11493035
Abstract: A pump technology that provides for more effective and efficient transfer of liquids, such as petroleum products and components, to and through pipelines. Such a technology can comprise a type of external gear pump that creates higher flow, resulting in higher pressures in the pipeline, to move the liquids, while providing for longer pump life, simpler and less maintenance, and fewer undesired conditions, with a smaller footprint, in a cost-effective system. Further, one or more portions of the pump can be configured to be easily replaceable to provide for maintenance in place, and provide for longer pump life. Additionally, one or more portions of the pump can be constructed with or coated with abrasive resistant material that extends the life of the external gear pump. Such material can also reduce the friction between surfaces and improve the life of the external gear pump under poor feeding conditions.

  • Patent number: 11493036
Abstract: A variable displacement vane pump is described. The pump includes a control chamber provided between a housing and a control slide. A pressure-controlled relief valve is in fluid communication with the outlet path and moves to block or unblock a relief port based on output pressure of the lubricant. A feedback channel fluidly connects the control chamber to an inlet path of the pump. The feedback channel further connects to a control port that is connected to a main control valve. The relief valve and control valve are distinct and not fluidly connected. The relief valve moves once the pressure in the outlet path exceeds a predetermined amount, opening the relief port, and thus delivers a portion of the output lubricant to the control chamber via the relief port, thereby pressurizing the control chamber and reducing eccentricity of the pump by displacing the control slide.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a crank portion is formed from a crank piece, an element separate from a shaft portion. The crank piece includes a fitting hole in which the shaft portion is fit by predetermined “interference” and a slit-like slot with one end opened in an inner circumferential surface of the fitting hole, and an other end closed inside the crank piece. The fitting hole is deformed so as to expand its diameter when expanding a width of the slot. The shaft portion is fit in the fitting hole of the crank piece by the predetermined “interference” when inserted in the deformed fitting hole and the fitting hole restores an original form while the shaft portion is in the fitting hole.
