  • Patent number: 11597292
Abstract: Provided is a technique for monitoring energy consumption in an electric vehicle (EV) charging network. The technique is based on using messages from one or more EV charging stations, each of which comprises a timestamp, a station ID, a charging session ID, and an energy meter reading. Whenever a new message is received, it is first stored in a database, whereupon it is checked whether the database comprises an older message with the same station ID and charging session ID as the new message. If the older message is present in the database, a time difference and an energy difference between the new and older messages are calculated. Then, a time granularity level is selected based on the time difference. An energy consumption distribution between the timestamps of the new and older messages is obtained based on the time granularity level and the energy difference.

Abstract: A retractor may include various features that reduce the amount of space necessary to secure an object, for example, a wheelchair in a vehicle. In one embodiment, the webbing is designed to come off of the top of the retractor spool, which shifts the webbing take-off point from the spool rearward, as compared to prior art retractors. In another embodiment, the retractor is provided with a webbing guide that rotates around at least a portion of the circumference of the retractor spool. The rotatable guide also shifts the take-off point from the webbing guide rearward, as compared to prior art retractors. In yet another embodiment, the retractor is provided with both a rotatable webbing guide and webbing that comes off of the top of the spool.

Abstract: A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a base portion configured to mount at an exterior door handle region of a vehicular door of a vehicle, a handle portion, and a sensing module that includes a light emitter and a light sensor. With the base portion of the handle assembly mounted at the exterior door handle region of the vehicular door, the light emitter is episodically energized to emit light. When the light emitter is not energized to emit light, the light sensor senses ambient light at the handle portion, and when the light emitter is energized to emit light, the light sensor senses emitted light emitted by the light emitter. The sensing module determines presence of a person's hand at the handle portion based at least in part on a difference between the sensed ambient light and the sensed emitted light being below a threshold light level.

  • Patent number: 11597319
Abstract: A vehicular camera calibration system includes a camera disposed at a vehicle, and an electronic control unit (ECU). The camera calibration system utilizes an intrinsic parameter of the camera and uses a kinematic model of motion of the vehicle that is determined at least in part via processing of multiple frames of captured image data. The camera calibration system, responsive to processing of multiple frames of image data captured by the camera as the vehicle moves along a path of travel, and based at least in part on (i) an intrinsic parameter of the camera and (ii) the kinematic model of motion of the vehicle, determines misalignment of the camera. The camera calibration system determines camera misalignment without use of a fiducial marker in the field of view of the camera as the vehicle moves along the path of travel and without use of reference points on the vehicle.
