  • Patent number: 11627729
Abstract: A system for transferring marine life within an aquaculture facility including a plurality of segregated storage facilities each containing water for marine life, maintained within a predetermined temperature range and supported at independent ground levels. The storage facilities are successively disposed and structured to contain marine life at different stages of growth. A transfer assembly includes a path of fluid flow interconnecting successive ones of said plurality of storage facilities in fluid communication with one another, wherein at least a majority of a length of said path of fluid flow is disposed beneath the independent ground levels at a predetermined depth, which is sufficient to facilitate maintenance of the path of fluid flow within the predetermined temperature range, via geothermal cooling. The transfer assembly may also connect a holding facility, which may be dimensioned and structured to transfer mature marine life, possibly on an on-demand basis, to the harvesting facility.

  • Patent number: 11627731
Abstract: An articulated exoskeleton bait holder/protector and hook device for holding live or dead shrimp has a body formed of pivotally connected generally inverted U-shaped transverse body segments formed of stiff transparent plastic material defining interior cavities configured to receive the shrimps' head, abdominal segments, and telson. An arcuate eye opening extends over the front portion of the head segment. Retaining members extending through laterally opposed sides of the body segments releasably retain the shrimp in the interior thereof. A downwardly curved lip attached to the head segment causes the body to dive and oscillate from side to side as it is drawn through water. The body segments pivot to conform to natural movements of a live shrimp's abdominal segments as it moves forward or backward, and the open bottom portions of the body segments allow the scent of the shrimp to escape.

Abstract: A training glove and a method for teaching proper hand, wrist, and finger orientations to efficiently perform a sugaring process for hair removal. A glove assists the technician in maintaining the proper finger positions for the application and removal of a sugar paste. In one example a glove has openings for the thumb and forefinger, and insert guides for bent finger positioning of the little finger, a ring finger, and a middle finger. In other examples, individual finger inserts are provided on the palm side of the fingers. In other examples, a single insert form is provided to position all three fingers—the middle finger, the ring finger, and the little finger. The finger inserts position the fingers so that the outside tips of the middle finger, ring finger, and little finger are properly aligned to apply an appropriate pressure to the skin in a sugaring application.

Abstract: A body suit resembles at least a partial human body form for use in design, customization, alteration, testing and modeling of garments. The suit includes a plurality of fluid-expandable layers, including an outer skin layer divided into an outer plurality of selectively expandable in varying degrees or quantities to create a variable exterior skin contour. One or more additional fluid-expandable layers underlie the outer skin layer to establish a variable internal tissue depth further contributing to an overall outer body contour of the body suit. An exterior of the body suit is colored or colorable in blue or green to enable chroma key isolation of garment adorned over the suit. Sensors are arrayed over the exterior surface area of the suit for dimensional and pressure measurements, and rotational support structures and cooperating 3D scanners and track-based scanner movement enable 3D imaging of the modeled garment.
