Abstract: Protective coverings having metal nanoparticle agglomerates adhered thereto may be applied to a surface subject to infection. The protective coverings may comprise a base substrate, and metal nanoparticle agglomerates thereof adhered to the base substrate. The base substrate may be configured for attachment to the surface subject to infection. The surface subject to infection may be a mask or facial covering in a particular example. The base substrate may be conformable to the surface subject to infection and optionally include mechanical connectors and/or a contact adhesive upon at least one side thereof to promote surface attachment. The protective coverings may be applied to a contaminated touch surface as a temporary protective layer until disinfection has taken place. Alternately, the protective coverings may be used in routine infection control procedures. The protective coverings may be formed by applying a spray formulation comprising metal nanoparticle agglomerates upon a suitable base substrate.

Abstract: Examples of a knitted or woven fabric with moisture management function are described, comprising a face fabric layer with a durable water repellency (DWR) additives forming a fabric outer surface that is hydrophobic and a back fabric layer comprising a second yarn that is highly hydrophilic forming a moisture regain core to absorb the moisture and spread it across on an inside surface of the back fabric layer. The outer (face) layer of the fabric is hydrophobic due to the added DWR additives to the first yarn while the inner (back) layer of the fabric is highly hydrophilic that absorbs and spreads the moisture across the inner side of the back layer so that it dries faster making the outer surface of the face fabric layer dry thus reducing the occurrence of water I liquid spots on the face layer outer surface.

Abstract: There is disclosed universal pumper skirt for use with a helmet. The universal pumper skirt is composed of a coif wrapping around a wearer's neck and connected to a helmet. The coif includes an air connection input port on the coif. A wearer can use an air flow unit to pump air through the input port, creating positive air pressure in the coif and helmet that cool the wearer and reduce the intrusion of dust into the helmet. The coif may be removably attached to a motorcycle or motorsport helmet, therefore, a wearer can remove the universal pumper skirt from a helmet or transfer it to a different helmet.

Abstract: A breakaway device for use with the strap system of a hard hat. The breakaway device is coupled to a strap system of a hard hat, and the strap system is coupled to a hard hat outer shell. The breakaway device includes a housing and a releasable component mated to the housing. In specific embodiments, the breakaway device further includes a latch. The latch includes a catch. When the device is configured in an unlatched position, the catch does not interfere with the removal of the releasable component from the housing. When the device is configured in a latched position, the catch does interfere with the removal of the releasable component from the housing, increasing the magnitude of force required to release the releasable component from the housing. In specific embodiments, both configurations are achieved with a single device. In other specific embodiments, the configurations are achieved through separate devices.

In one example, a footwear article may include an upper, a midsole coupled to the upper, an outsole coupled to the midsole, and a moderation plate positioned within the midsole, the moderation plate including a toe-off section, a heel section, and a midfoot section positioned intermediate the toe-off section and the heel section, the moderation plate having a plate length that extends from the toe-off section to the heel section that is within a range of 60-95% of an outsole length of the outsole. In this way, the moderation plate may provide rigidity to the midsole while increasing cushion and enhancing propulsion. In turn, a wearer of the footwear article may smoothly walk for extended periods of time with reduced fatigue.

The first midsole can be an upper midsole, and a second, lower midsole can be disposed in a facing relationship with the upper midsole with the flexion plate therebetween.

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards customized 3D printed footwear articles and methods for designing and manufacturing 3D printed footwear having improved cosmetics, comfort and ventilation. The improved footwear articles and methods provide greater integration and/or customization of different components. The method used to manufacture the 3D printed footwear can be conceptualized, prototyped, designed both physically and digitally and then finally designed with specific additive manufacturing processes in mind. Upon completion of printing, the components are cleaned and then in any combination, the components are bonded and coated, or coated and bonded to each other.

The device comprises at least one rotating solar panel that powers an automated opening and closing system; and at least one battery that receives power from the at least one rotating solar panel. Thus, the umbrella opens when the battery is at full charge and lowers when the battery is at a lower percentage. In this manner, the device simplifies use of the umbrella and eliminates the need to manually crank the umbrella open to use it.

When the mat is folded so that the first fastener and second fastener are mated and the zipper is sealed, the mat forms a bag configuration.
