  • Patent number: 11681303
Abstract: The system receives position information in both an internal coordinate frame and an external coordinate frame. The system uses a comparison of position information in these frames to determine orientation information. The system determines one or more orientation hypotheses, and analyzes the position information based on these hypotheses. The system may include on-board accelerometers, gyroscopes, or both that provide the measurements in the internal coordinate frame. These measurements may be integrated or otherwise processed to determine position, velocity, or both. Measurements in the external frame are provided by GPS sensors or other positioning systems. Position information is transformed to a common coordinate frame, and an error metric is determined. Based on the error metric, the system estimates a likelihood metric for each hypothesis, and determines a resulting hypothesis based on the maximum likelihood or a combination of likelihoods.

  • Patent number: 11681307
Abstract: A fuel-gas blending system receives low-pressure tank vapors and high-pressure flash gases from an oil production facility, boosts the pressure of the tank vapors, and blends the tank vapors and high-pressure gases together to supply fuel gas at a pressure and quality required by an onsite fuel-gas-powered generator. The quality of the supplied fuel gas is maintained by controlling the proportion of a high-pressure gas, such as separator gas, in the blend while the volumetric flow rates of the various gases vary in response to the real-time demands of the generator. The system operates in one of multiple modes in order to maximize the use of tank vapors. In one mode, all the gases pass through a low-pressure blower. In another mode, only the tank vapors pass through the blower, and the high-pressure gases are blended with tank vapors downstream of the blower.

  • Patent number: 11681316
Abstract: Embodiments described herein present a new LDO design that eliminates the need for the sleep bias circuitry included in other systems. Further, the new LDO design can be biased with a small fraction of the operating current enabling the LDO to wake up substantially faster than previous LDO designs that include separate sleep circuitry. In some cases, the LDO can instantly (or faster than other LDOs) transition from a sleep mode to an operating mode enabling improved operation compared to prior LDOs. Furthermore, the new LDO design maintains a non-breakdown voltage across the transistors reducing the need to enter sleep mode to prevent transistors of the LDO from entering a breakdown region.

  • Patent number: 11681322
Abstract: The disclosure describes an adaptive and optimal imaging of individual quantum emitters within a lattice or optical field of view for quantum computing. Advanced image processing techniques are described to identify individual optically active quantum bits (qubits) with an imager. Images of individual and optically-resolved quantum emitters fluorescing as a lattice are decomposed and recognized based on fluorescence. Expected spatial distributions of the quantum emitters guides the processing, which uses adaptive fitting of peak distribution functions to determine the number of quantum emitters in real time. These techniques can be used for the loading process, where atoms or ions enter the trap one-by-one, for the identification of solid-state emitters, and for internal state-detection of the quantum emitters, where each emitter can be fluorescent or dark depending on its internal state.

  • Patent number: 11681324
Abstract: Distribution of a reset signal across a system-on-chip (SoC) may be the highest latency signal in the circuit. As a result, the operating frequency of the device is reduced to ensure that the reset signal reaches all intellectual property (IP) blocks during a single clock cycle. A reset synchronizer receives the clock signal and the reset signal as inputs and generates a synchronous reset signal as an output. The synchronous reset signal has a fixed timing relationship with the clock signal. The clock signal may be paused when a reset signal is received. As a result, distribution of the synchronous reset signal may be performed without regard to the latency of the signal. After the synchronous reset signal has been received by all of the IP blocks, reset is deasserted and the clock signal is resumed.

Abstract: A graphics subsystem includes a printed circuit board (PCB), a set of one or more fans, and a heat sink. A graphics processing unit (GPU) is integrated into the PCB. The PCB is shortened to occupy a portion of the width of the graphics subsystem. The heat sink is coupled to the PCB and/or GPU and configured to extend beyond an edge of the PCB, thereby occupying a larger portion of the width of the graphics subsystem compared to the PCB. A first fan is disposed partially or fully beyond the edge of the PCB and is configured to direct air through the portion of the heat sink that extends beyond the edge of the PCB, along a first airflow path, and out of the graphics subsystem. A second fan is configured to direct air through the heat sink, along a second airflow path, towards the GPU.

Abstract: A powered device electrical data modeling and intelligence system is used to monitor electrical data of powered devices to determine in-use activity thereof. A number of network-enabled electric plugs are deployed in a region, for example, within certain areas of a floor of a building or within certain floors of a building. Each of the network-enabled electric plugs is configured to deliver electricity from an electricity source to one or more powered devices located in the region. A server runs a web application used to monitor electrical data for the region based on electricity drawn by each of the one or more powered devices. The web application computes usage metrics for the powered devices by modeling electrical data for the powered devices into clusters representative of device operational states. The web application may then determine an operational state of a powered device according to the usage metrics.
