Abstract: A device for vermin and rodent control is disclosed. The device generates a unique shudder and rhythm tone that mimics a predator, such as a rattlesnake. The device’s output (energy) is transferred to the entire environment around the device when it is positioned inside a vermin tunnel. The device includes a motor that causes the plurality of rigid spheres that are located freely in a container. The rigid spheres move in the container and movement produces a shudder and rhythm tone. A device’s unique randomization system prevents vermin such as gophers and moles from habituating to the shudder and rhythm tone generated by the device.

  • Publication number: 20230200376
Abstract: A moving decoy support system for easy placement of decoys on stakes, and natural motion. The moving decoy support system generally includes a motion cone for the decoy, in which the motion cone has a first end, a second end, and a cavity extending into the first end toward the second end. The cavity has an opening at the first end and an upper surface at the second end which supports the decoy on a stake. The motion cone is mountable in the bottom of the decoy body. The motion cone may also have an upper, cylindrical portion and a funnel-shaped portion at the opening, so that the opening is larger than the inside, top of the cone. This allows for easier placement of the decoy on the stake. The motion cone allows the decoy to rotate and rock on the stake, giving the appearance of natural motion.

Abstract: A method includes inserting a food item into an inner volume of a thermal container. A liquid circulating through a liquid jacket at least partially surrounding and fluidically isolated from the inner volume of the thermal container is cooled such that thermal energy from the food item is transferred to the cooled liquid. After the cooling, thermal energy from a first heating element is transferred to the liquid circulating through the liquid jacket such that thermal energy from the heated liquid is transferred to the food item. Thermal energy from a second heating element is transferred to the food item in response to a criterion being satisfied. The second heating element is different from the first heating element and is disposed in the inner volume of the thermal container.

Abstract: A liquid seasoning contains edible plant ingredients and satisfies all of (1)-(5). (1) The amount of edible plant ingredient fraction A that is retained on a 1 -mesh sieve is at least 10 mass%. (2) The amount of edible plant ingredient fraction B that passes through a 1-mesh sieve and is retained on a 200-mesh sieve is 10-80 mass%. (3) The hexanal content of edible plant ingredient fraction A is 1-15000 ppb. (4) The dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) content of edible plant ingredient fraction B is 0.01-1000 ppb. (5) The proportion of the hexanal content of the edible plant ingredient fraction A to the hexanal content of the edible plant ingredient fraction B is greater than 100 mass%. In the liquid seasoning, off-flavors are inhibited from being generated in edible plant ingredients having different sizes. In addition, the liquid seasoning can be preserved for a long period of time.

Abstract: A first object of the present invention is to provide a raw liquid for a seasoning which can be utilized for obtaining a seasoning with a mellow aroma and high palatability by simply performing yeast fermentation so as to enable the yeast fermentation even at home, an index of fermentation control, a set of members including the raw liquid and the index, and a method for manufacturing a seasoning. A second object of the present invention is to provide a seasoning that has a fruity aroma hardly noticeable in a conventional soy sauce while having a flavor inherent in a soy sauce. The first object is achieved by a raw liquid for a seasoning having a reducing sugar content of 4.5 wt % or more and an ethanol content of 1.

Abstract: An improved method for preparing persimmon leaf extract. Dried persimmon leaves are obtained and are crushed. Ethanol is added to the dried crushed persimmon leaves and ethanol extraction is used to produce a persimmon leaf extraction solution. The persimmon leaf extraction solution is introduced into a concentrator and a first concentrated solution is produced while the ethanol is recycled. The first concentrated solution is filtered to produce a filtrate. The filtrate is introduced into the concentrator to produce a second concentrated solution. The second concentrated solution is repeatedly extracted with ethyl acetate to produce a second persimmon leaf extraction solution. The second persimmon leaf extraction solution is introduced into a concentrator to produce a third concentrated solution while recycling the ethyl acetate. Vacuum drying is used to dry the third concentrated solution to produce a dried persimmon leaf extract.
