Abstract: A protective glove is disclosed comprising a rubber sheet having an outer surface and inner surface, the outer surface has a front portion and a back portion, the front portion comprises a plurality of raised surfaces and the inner surface comprises cloth liner. The plurality of raised surfaces is of different shapes in order to hold food for a pet forming a plurality of grooves. The grooves may be of various shapes including polygon, cross shapes, bone shapes. The protective glove proves site to hold soft foods within the grooves which may be continuously rewarded to a pet or dog during training, entertainment, and distracting the pet and at the same time protects the handler's hand during accidental bite by the pet or dog.

Abstract: A hairstyling weftlock is provided which consists of a narrow band having opposing ends consisting of a locking mechanism at one end and a threading portion. Upon threading the threading portion through the locking mechanism, the locking mechanism is able to secure the threading portion at a desired length along the threading portion. The weftlock of the current invention may satisfy a connective function in the fabrication of a wig assembly or may be utilized to sheave strands of hair of a hairstyle client by connecting wefts of hair to other hair, including human hair and hair styled in braids, twists or cornrows and wig assembly cornrows, as well as facilitate the installation of braid extensions.

The pencil normal (PN) section extends along a longitudinal direction thereof and having a first cross-sectional area of a constant size. The two first pencil tapering (PT) sections are tapered in such a way that cross-sectional areas decrease. Two second PT sections are tapered in such a way that the decreased cross-sectional areas increase again. The two pencil connection (PC) sections connect a first PT section and a second PT section that are adjacent to each other, and have a second cross-sectional area of a constant size. The continuous strand may implement a multi step-pencil tapering (MS-PT) effect that presents significantly improved aesthetic characteristics for a wig, without resorting to a labor-intensive manual operation.

Abstract: Implementations disclosed herein provide for shoes including one or more wave cushions that provide temporary storage of the shoes’ impact energy with the ground and return of a portion of that energy to enhance a runner’s running economy. The wave cushions may include a pair of foundation layers, each with an engagement surface and a sinusoidal sectional profile. The sinusoidal sectional profiles are phase offset, and the elastic membrane is oriented between the engagement surfaces. The engagement surfaces together act as alternating matched pairs of actuators and cavities. Each actuator stretches a portion of the elastic membrane into a cavity when a runner’s weight is applied, converting the runner’s kinetic energy to potential energy stored in the stretched and deformed elastic membrane. As the runner’s weight is removed, the elastic membrane springs back into a substantially planar orientation, transferring the stored potential energy back to the runner as kinetic energy.

Abstract: Systems and methods for evaluating gemstones are disclosed. The system includes a gemstone holding case, an illumination pad and an image capturing and gemstone evaluation device. The case includes a transparent viewing window in a top wall, a translucent bottom wall and a compressible light-diffusing pad for receiving gemstones thereon. The case and pad are dimensioned such that, when closed, the viewing window presses the gemstones into the pad holding them in place and level and allowing for in situ gem imaging. The illumination pad includes embedded LEDs for selectively illuminating the portion of the pad on which the case is placed. The controllable lighting, translucent case and diffusive pad serves to evenly light the gems and reduce unwanted light thereby improving the images and analysis performed using the image capturing and gemstone evaluation device. Methods for analyzing gemstones under diffuse lighting using the system is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a gel nail UV curing light and applicator device that is primarily comprised of a body with a first end that has at least one bulb, a bulb cover, and a cap, and a second end further comprised of at least one button. The bulb of the device is preferably a UV light. The bulb cover can be placed over the bulb such that a nail accessory can be placed on the top surface of the bulb cover. The device can then be pressed against the top surface of a nail that has been coated with a gel product. Therefore, the nail accessory is pressed into the nail via the device and is also simultaneously cured to the gel product via the UV light.

The controller could also be configured to adjust one or more elongated compression members so as to compress the soft tissue of the limb against the bone structure to thereby reduce relative motion between the bone structure and the interface.

The tether apparatus includes a harness having an elastomeric body configured to engage the plurality of corners of the handheld device thereby releasably securing the elastomeric body to the handheld device, a fastener configured for releasably engaging an article worn or borne by a user, and an elongated tether interconnecting the fastener and the harness. A first end of the tether is connected to the elastomeric body, and a second end of the tether is connected to the fastener.
