Abstract: A tomato plant, harboring a partially dominant resistance gene or genes to tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV). Such partially dominant resistance was obtained by crossing and back crossing of nine ToBRFV-resistant wild tomato plant lines, each harboring said partially dominant resistance gene or genes and a ToBRFV-susceptible cultivated Solanum lycopersicum. In addition, genetic markers for partially dominant resistance to tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) where identified and found to be related to chromosome 2, and genetic markers for sensitivity to tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) where identified and found to be related to chromosome 11.

Abstract: A livestock squeeze chute is operable in parallel-squeeze, V-squeeze and inverted-V squeeze configurations, and has a head gate with a novel guide track construction for robust rolling support of the gate panels, and a neck extender having uniquely positioned actuators that pull the neck extender upwardly into its working position. The squeeze panels are supported in suspended and hinged fashion from a set of movable supports that are displaceable laterally back and forth along a set of overhead support tracks. A pair of upper actuators are operable to move the hinged-equipped supports, and thereby relocate the tops of the squeeze panels, while a set of lower actuators are operable to relocate the bottom ends of the squeeze panels. The head gate's guide track uses two L-shaped bars and a cooperating U-channel to define a pair of enclosed channels in which roller carriages of the two gate panels are respectively received.

Abstract: Methods and compositions for biofilm remediation are disclosed. Biofilm is reduced and removed from soiled surfaces by providing to a surface in need an effective amount of a composition comprising a biocidal surfactant and at least one organic solvent. According to the invention, the biofilm remediation compositions reduce and remove biofilm formation by administering a one-step cleaner and disinfectant. The biofilm remediation compositions are stable and effective in concentrated and diluted ready-to-use formulations comprising an anionic sulfated or sulfonated surfactant that is not an organocarboxylic acid, a sparingly soluble organic solvent and optionally a soluble organic solvent.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a corona virus killing agent. In particular, the present disclosure provides a corona virus killing agent containing chlorous acid water. In particular, the present disclosure provides a method for killing corona virus, using chlorous acid water. The free chlorine concentration of the chlorous acid water (as Cl=35.45) may be at least 5 ppm or greater in the absence of organic matter. The content of chlorous acid in the chlorous acid water (as HClO2=68.46) may be at least 200 ppm or greater in the presence of organic matter such as when disinfecting hands/fingers. The corona virus may be SARS corona virus (SARS-CoV), MFRS corona virus (MERS-CoV), or the 2019 novel corona virus (SARS-CoV-2).

Abstract: The invention of process and method for complete elimination of various stages of pest growth in plants using disinfectant compounds based on ethaneperoxoic acid and hydrogen peroxide which is related to a method to control and eradicate pests and fungal diseases and bacteria and viruses in plants, with the ability to have a simultaneous effect on both pests and plant diseases without creating resistance, by dissolving the ethaneperoxoic acid with a water solvent and fatty amin as wetting agent. The mechanism of function of ethaneperoxoic acid is oxidation; The oxidation mechanism involves electron transfer, ethaneperoxoic acid breaks sulfhydryl (H—S) and sulfide (S—S) bonds in proteins and enzymes and destroys the cell wall and thus oxidizes the outer membrane of bacterial cells, endospores, yeasts and mold spores, thus do the disinfecting process. This means that this disinfectant, in addition to killing many microorganisms, can also kill spores.

Abstract: A functional material has a metal substrate and exhibits at least one of the following: an antimold action, an antimicrobial action, and an antiviral action. The functional material is provided with: a metal substrate produced by forming a zinc layer on the surface of an aluminum substrate; and a functional film that is a zinc phosphate film formed on the surface of the metal substrate. A micron-order unevenness is formed on the surface of the functional film, as a result of which the functional film has at least one of the following: an antimold action that prevents the proliferation of mold, an antimicrobial action that kills microorganisms, and an antiviral action that inactivates viruses. The functional material is produced by carrying out a zinc phosphate chemical conversion treatment on the surface of an aluminum substrate and forming on this surface a zinc phosphate film having micron-order unevenness.
