Patent number: 11856887Abstract: A brush cutter device having a latch assembly for securing a movable cutter guard in a closed position when the brush cutter is tilted beyond a predetermined angle. The guard is combined with a side of the housing and movable between a closed position and an open position. A latch is combined with a portion of the housing and is capable of moving between a retracted position wherein the guard is able to move freely between its open position and its closed position and an engaged position wherein the latch prevents the guard from moving to its open position. Upon tilting the brush cutter beyond a certain angle, gravity acts on the latch causing it to move from its retracted position to its engaged position. The guard would move from its closed position to its open position upon tilting the brush cutter beyond a certain angle, however, the latch is moved beyond its pivot point before the guard moves beyond its pivot point to lock the guard in its closed position.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2021Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Assignee: Paladin Brands Group, Inc.Inventors: Jay Koester, Alan Janak

Patent number: 11856925Abstract: A feeder assembly for dispensing feed to wildlife and other animals. The assembly includes a hopper, such as a conventional gravity-feed hopper. The assembly includes a broadcast feeder that sprays feed from a spinning tray driven by a motor. The feeder housing includes domed plates above and below the tray to direct the spray of feed peripherally and prevent varmints from operating the tray manually. The feeder housing may include an attachment plate to attach the feeder to the inside or outside of the bottom of the hopper. The housing may include a collar that is threadedly connectable to a downwardly extending neck on the attachment plate so the housing can be easily connected to and disconnected from the hopper. A chute control plank in the neck of the housing opens and closes the chute to allow removal of the feeder from the hopper without spilling feed.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2018Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Inventor: James Scott Sanderford

Patent number: 11856927Abstract: The present invention has found that chimeric animals suffer from noticeable inflammation after birth, though neither immune response nor inflammation in the fetal period of these animals has been reported hitherto. This is an unexpected finding since chimeric animals in the fetal period were exclusively analyzed in prior studies and thus it is deemed that immunotolerance has been theoretically established therein. The present invention provides a composition for suppressing immune response or inflammation in the fetal period of a born chimeric animal.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2018Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Assignee: The University of TokyoInventors: Hiromitsu Nakauchi, Tomoyuki Yamaguchi, Sanae Hamanaka, Hideyuki Sato, Hideki Masaki, Naoaki Mizuno, Motoo Watanabe

Patent number: 11856928Abstract: A portable pet drinking container is provided. A container body defines an interior cavity operable to contain a fluid. A drinking bowl receiving port is defined by the container body. The drinking bowl receiving port is operable to receive and secure a drinking bowl. A horizontal retaining wall and vertical retaining wall is defined by the container body. A drinking bowl is included and has a circumferential periphery. A dynamic compression shoulder is defined by said drinking bowl. An O-ring positioned around the drinking bowl. When the drinking bowl is rotatably inserted into the drinking bowl receiving port, the O-ring is compressed by the horizontal retaining wall, the vertical retaining wall, the dynamic compression shoulder, and the circumferential periphery of the drinking bowl to create a seal.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2021Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Inventors: Kenneth Gann, Mike Khodabakhshi, Kyle Silkey

Patent number: 11856929Abstract: Flasher fishing lures are disclosed that include a fin pivotably attached to a rear portion of the flasher. In a closed configuration, the fin may be secured within a fin recess to form a substantially flat, continuous surface with the rear portion of the flasher. And, in an open configuration, the fin may extend substantially perpendicular to the surface of the rear portion. Accordingly, a user may select a fin configuration that provides optimal side-to-side, tail kicking and/or spinning motion of the lure through the water when trolled at various speeds and in any number of fishing conditions.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2022Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Inventor: Shane Ruboyianes

Patent number: 11856930Abstract: A collar member is used for a spinning reel. The spinning reel has a reel body, a spool shaft that moves in a front-back direction with respect to the reel body, a pinion gear that rotates around the spool shaft, a rotor nut that rotates integrally with the pinion gear, and a bearing that is disposed between the spool shaft and the rotor nut in a radial direction and rotatably supports the rotor nut. The collar member is disposed between the spool shaft and the bearing in the radial direction. The collar member is formed by a resin material that has a linear expansion coefficient of 10×10?6 (1/° C.) or more and 50×10?6 (1/° C.) or less.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2022Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Assignee: Shimano Inc.Inventors: Koji Ochiai, Kei Saito, Akira Niitsuma, Satoshi Ikebukuro, Atsushi Kawamata

Patent number: 11856934Abstract: A pivotal ice fishing hole cover selectively covers a hole in an ice layer over a body of water, while permitting an ice fishing line to pass through and into the water. A ring rests adjacent to and circumscribes the ice fishing opening. A pair of hinges are affixed between the ring and a pair of pivotal lid portions, allowing the lid portions to pivot between a first closed configuration parallel to the ice that blocks the ice fishing opening and a second open configuration that allows access thereto. An ice fishing line opening between the pair of pivotal lid portions remains unobstructed regardless of wether the pivotal lid portions are closed or open. The closure is spring loaded, and with the push of a button will release from the lid, thereby allowing the spring hinges to pivot the lid from closed to open position.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2023Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Inventor: Michael J.
