Patent number: 11869638Abstract: A patient monitoring system helps staff personnel, clinicians and physicians who are making their rounds of patients quickly and accurately enter their reports of patient observations. The patient monitoring system has a monitoring device carried by the staff personnel as they make their rounds which wirelessly communicates with a central server. The monitoring device is populated with patient profile information saved within a centralized server when the monitoring device is in operative communication with the central server and allows the rounding personnel to report their observations back to the server. The monitoring device can also scan a code from a proximity device attached to the patient. The patient information and reported observations are stored by the server in a patient database and are not stored by the monitoring device or by the proximity device which reduces the risk that the patient information will be lost, stolen, or otherwise compromised.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2018Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignee: Health Care Systems, Inc.Inventors: William Dwight Henderson, Reubin Benjamin Felkey

Patent number: 11869640Abstract: A proxy data augmentation system and method intelligently augments digital information sets with proxy data using analytical processing technology. The proxy data system and method identifies fields in a digital information set that are candidates for modification using proxy data. After identifying a candidate field, an analytical process is invoked to evaluate a context of the candidate field. In one embodiment, once the context and at least one other parameter associated with the digital information set are evaluated, the proxy data augmentation system and method can determine appropriate proxy data to populate the candidate field and modify the digital information set with the determined proxy data. The modified document can then be sent to a recipient data processing system. Additionally, the digital information set submitting and/or recipient data processing system can be notified of the existence and identification of the proxy data.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2020Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignee: Versata Development Group, Inc.Inventors: Neeraj Gupta, Thomas E. Patent number: 11869674Abstract: A computational evidence platform extracts clinical concepts from medical evidence sources and creates a database of elemental diagnostic factors and elemental investigations links to medical conditions. Input from a person groups factors and investigations makes corrections and adds a ranking. Elemental factors and investigations do not include information specific to their associated conditions but include synonyms and a link to a medical ontology. A patient state is determined by extracting patient known diagnostic factors and investigation results from the patient chart. These known factors and results are matched to the database and a ranking of likely conditions are output. Next-best actions per condition are output by determining factors not yet known and investigations not yet performed. Next-best actions across conditions are determined by performing a recursive tree search of the database and assuming that unknown factors are now known to generate a score for each assumption.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2023Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignee: Recovery Exploration Technologies Inc.Inventors: Carl Bate Tulley, Wian Stipp, Thomas Unger, David A. Patent number: 11869680Abstract: A control circuit optimizes a radiation treatment plan for a patient treatment volume using an automatically iterating optimization process that optimizes as a function, at least in part, of predetermined cost functions, wherein at least one of the cost functions favors apertures for the multi-leaf collimation system having local curvature that deviates only minimally from a reference curvature. By one approach the control circuit determines the reference curvature as a function, at least in part, of at least one of setting the reference curvature to a static minimal local curvature, a shape of a projective mapping of the treatment volume onto an isocenter plane, and/or a fluence map associated with an amount of radiation to be administered to the treatment volume from a particular direction. By one approach the control circuit dynamically determines when to employ one or more such cost functions.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2018Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignee: Varian Medical Systems International AGInventors: Santtu T.T.
