Abstract: A method for providing an integrity test of a double filter capsule can include providing the double filter capsule in such a way that in a filtration process the medium to be filtered flows in its flow direction from an upstream chamber in the housing through a first filter into an intermediate chamber between the first filter and a second filter and then through the second filter to an outlet. The housing can have an upstream-chamber access point for feeding a test fluid into the upstream chamber and an intermediate-chamber access point for feeding the test fluid into the intermediate chamber. Additional steps can include providing a connecting line between the upstream-chamber access point and the intermediate-chamber access point and determining the state of integrity of the double filter capsule on the basis of at least two test phases.

The reaction zone provides fluid communication between feed fluid inlet and product fluid outlet, and extends though the heat transfer zone and the isolation zone. The isolation zone is located between the heat transfer zone and the product fluid outlet, where a feed fluid, as it flows from the feed fluid inlet and through the reaction zone, is heated by a heat transfer fluid flowing through the heat transfer zone and reacts to form a product fluid that flows out of the shell through the product fluid outlet. A purge fluid in the isolation zone is at a positive pressure relative to a pressure of the heat transfer fluid flowing through the heat transfer zone.

Abstract: A micro-droplet generation method and generation system, capable of quickly preparing a large quantity of micro-droplets. The droplet generation time is greatly shortened, operations are simple and convenient, high-precision micro-pumps and other devices are not required, the system cost is reduced, the expansion capability is high, and more micro-droplets or multiple samples can be separated by expanding the size of a micro-fluidic chip. The volume and density of the formed droplets can be precisely adjusted by controlling a gap between an upper polar plate and a lower polar plate, and the quantity, the size of the area and the positions of attraction points. Provided are the micro-droplet generation method and the micro-droplet generation system capable of quickly forming high-density micro-droplets and accurately controlling the volume and density of the formed high-density micro-droplets.

Abstract: Techniques regarding nanofluidic chips with a plurality of inlets and/or outlets in fluid communication with one or more nanoDLD arrays are provided. For example, one or more embodiments described herein can comprise a nanoscale deterministic lateral displacement array between and in fluid communication with a global inlet and a global outlet. The nanoscale deterministic lateral displacement array can further be between and in fluid communication with a local inlet and a local outlet. Also, the nanoscale deterministic lateral displacement array can laterally displace a particle comprised within a sample fluid supplied from the global inlet to a collection region that directs the particle to the local outlet. An advantage of such an apparatus can be the expanded versatility of the nanoscale deterministic lateral displacement array for sample preparation applications involving nanoparticles not accessible to other higher throughput microscale microfluidic technologies.
