Abstract: Mobile devices are each associated with a respective toll account and are also configured to periodically report their location and related information while traveling in a vehicle, which is used to determine any applicable toll fees. In order to avoid assessing the toll fee to each account, a server of a tolling service first identifies mobile devices that are traveling together based on the location information, and then determines which of the mobile devices, if any, has indicated that it is connected to the vehicle audio system. The account associated with the mobile device connected to the vehicle audio system will be assessed the full toll fee, and the accounts associated with the other mobile devices will not be charged.

Abstract: A method and system for managing payment transactions for a merchant using a computing device coupled to a memory device is described. Each transaction is initiated by a consumer using a payment card. The method includes receiving a registration request from a candidate merchant for enrollment within a manager module wherein the registration request includes registration data associated with the candidate merchant, executing a primary approval process using at least some of the registration data, and transmitting an account request message requesting an opening of a merchant account for the candidate merchant with an acquiring bank upon approval. The method further includes receiving, in real-time, merchant account data associated with the candidate merchant from the acquiring bank upon approval by a secondary approval process wherein the candidate merchant becomes a registered merchant upon the secondary approval.

The system consists of a trusted coin wallet framework that implements a trusted execution environment to initiate currency transactions between two clients. The method used by the trusted coin wallet framework involves interaction between the trusted shadow wallet and a peer trusted wallet owned by the other client, via the API proxy, from within the trusted execution environment.
