  • Patent number: 11910359
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first sidelink control information (SCI) message during a mini-slot of a control resource pool which is decoupled from a data resource pool for sidelink communications. The first SCI message may indicate a data message to be transmitted on a subchannel of the data resource pool to a second UE, where resources between the control resource pool and the data resource pool are mapped. The UE may receive a feedback message from the second UE for the first SCI message during a second mini-slot of the control resource pool. The feedback message may indicate whether a collision or strong interference was detected for the first SCI message. The UE may determine whether to transmit the data message or retransmit the first SCI message based on the feedback message.

  • Patent number: 11910360
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may utilize opportunistic cooperative relaying to support exchanging packets between UEs without establishing or maintaining beamforming alignment between the UEs. Specifically, a source UE may invite nearby UEs (e.g., helper UEs) that receive a sidelink transmission (e.g., a packet meant for a different destination UE) to perform a single frequency network (SFN)-type transmission to opportunistically relay the packet to the destination UE. The helper UEs may receive, decode, and transmit the sidelink signaling from the source UE without establishing or configuring a relay agreement with the source UE. The destination UE may receive the sidelink signaling via cascading, SFN-type transmissions by one or more helper UEs. The destination UE may respond to the sidelink signaling with feedback information via one or more helper UEs or directly to the source UE.

  • Patent number: 11910370
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a base station transmitting to a user equipment (UE) a partial bandwidth configuration for uplink transmissions, where the partial bandwidth configuration may indicate a channel interlace and a portion of a channel bandwidth, for example, for autonomous uplink (AUL) transmissions. The base station may also transmit to the UE an AUL configuration including a group identifier. The UE may determine a starting offset with respect to an AUL subframe for a partial bandwidth transmission based on the group identifier. In some cases, different UEs may be grouped into groups of UEs allocated non-overlapping resources, and UEs allocated overlapping resources may have different starting offsets to begin transmitting. According to the determined starting offset, the UE may perform the partial bandwidth transmission over the channel interlace and the portion of the channel bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 11910371
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that may allow a base station and user equipment (UE) to be in agreement on spatial quasi co-location (QCL) assumptions for transmission in certain scenarios. The techniques may be used, for example, to determine QCL assumptions for downlink transmissions sent in an initial control resource set (CORESET) on an initial downlink bandwidth part (BWP) where dedicated signaling of such assumptions may be lacking. In some cases, the techniques may involve a UE determining a beam to use for monitoring for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission on the initial CORESET in the initial downlink BWP that lacks dedicated signaling of QCL information and monitoring for the PDCCH on the initial CORESET in the initial BWP using the determined beam. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Then each user equipment (UE) of a plurality of UEs that connects to the ground-based network of the mobile service carrier is assigned to one of the two overlapping bands. The system allocates at a given scheduling time, physical resource blocks (PRBs) to UEs up to a maximum number of PRBs available for the particular overlapping frequency band to which the UE is assigned based on a metric for the UE that is a ratio of a downlink channel quality indicator for the UE to the average data rate of the UE at the given time, giving higher priority for PRB allocation to UEs that have a larger metric than other UEs of the plurality of UEs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for wireless communication are described. In some wireless systems (e.g., new radio (NR) systems), a system may employ fixed or variable length uplink burst regions (e.g., in an uplink-centric slot). The base station may semi-statically or dynamically configure a user equipment (UE) or group of UEs for uplink control channel transmissions within an uplink burst region. In semi-static configuration, the UE may determine the uplink control channel transmission based on values transmitted or indicated via higher-layer signaling or based on default values. In dynamic configuration, the UE may receive an indication of actual resources used by the base station in a physical layer message. The UE may transmit using an uplink control channel transmission based on the indication. In some cases, the base station may allocate code division multiplexing (CDM) groups based on which UEs are semi-statically configured and which are dynamically configured.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine whether a collision is to occur between a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission that includes a scheduling request (SR), and multiple physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions in a slot. The UE may transmit, to a base station (BS), the PUCCH transmission or the multiple PUSCH transmissions based at least in part on determining whether the collision is to occur in the slot. Abstract: Techniques for implementing an uplink control channel in Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) asynchronous transmissions are disclosed. The techniques described herein provide an additional control channel in NOMA transmissions for a user equipment (UE) (102) to indicate certain information to a base station (106) to enable the base station (106) to detect and decode the data transmitted by the UE (102). For example, uplink control information (UCI) is transmitted (406) via an uplink control channel in connection with a group user equipment identifier (group UE-ID) to enable the base station (106) to detect and decode the UCI. After decoding (506) the UCI based on the group UE-ID, the base station (106) obtains information usable to distinguish (508) the UE (102), such as a UE-specific ID, as well as to detect (510) and decode (512) a data transmission from the UE (102) on an uplink data channel.
