Abstract: A camera system includes a motorcycle helmet having an energy-absorbing inner liner, an outer shell surrounding at least a portion of the energy-absorbing inner liner, and a number of pockets in the motorcycle helmet. Each pocket includes an opening in the outer shell and a recess in the energy-absorbing liner. The camera system also includes a number of cameras in the pockets in the motorcycle helmet, and each camera includes a lens, an image sensor, and a processor. The camera system also includes a number of lens covers covering the cameras, and each lens cover is conformal with a portion of the outer shell proximate to the lens cover such that the cameras and the lens covers do not appreciably increase the aerodynamic drag of the motorcycle helmet.

Abstract: A safety helmet to be used by a person in low light conditions, includes: a cap, to cover the person's head; a wing, which surrounds the entire perimeter of the bottom of the cap; and a visor, which corresponds to a projection of the wing on the front of the cap. It is intended that each lens section has a first and a second line of curvature that, at least in substantial part, are positioned transversely to one another, and along which the individual sections of lens extend; furthermore, that the lines of curvature of one lens section are inclined towards the lines of curvature of the other lens section in terms of their positioning.

Abstract: In some examples, a system (1900) includes a hearing protector (1920); at least one position sensor; at least one sound monitoring sensor; at least one computing device configured to: receive, from the at least one sound monitoring sensor and over a time duration, indications of sound levels to which a worker is exposed; determine, from the at least one position sensor and during the time duration, that the hearing protector is not positioned at one or more ears of the worker to attenuate the sound levels; and generate, in response to the determination that at least one of the sound levels satisfies an exposure threshold during the time duration and the hearing protector is not positioned at one or more ears of the worker to attenuate the sound levels, an indication for output.

Abstract: As described above, one or more aspects of the present disclosure provide articles having structural color, and methods of making articles having structural color. The present disclosure provides for articles that exhibit structural colors through the use of an optical element, where structural colors are visible colors produced, at least in part, through optical effects. The optical element (e.g., a single layer reflector, a single layer filter, a multilayer reflector or a multilayer filter) can include the reflective layer(s), constituent layers, and an optional textured surface. The optical element has a minimum percent reflectance in a wavelength range within the wavelength range of about 380 to 625 nanometers. The optical element imparts a structural color that corresponds substantially to the range of wavelength range.

The jacket bonding region and the housing bonding region may be formed from a common type of polymer.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an article may include positioning a first textile sheet against a second textile sheet and reciprocating a single needle of an embroidery machine through the first textile sheet and the second textile sheet, the needle forcing fibers of the second textile sheet through the first textile sheet. The fibers may have terminal ends extending outward of an exterior side of the first textile sheet through which the fibers are forced. A method may include forcing fibers from a second side to an opposite side of a single textile sheet to create a pattern of the fibers on the opposite side. Various articles such as footwear uppers may be manufactured according to the method.

Abstract: A buckle assembly includes a first buckle component, a second buckle component and an operating component. The first buckle component includes a locked portion. The second buckle component includes a locking portion. The locking portion engages with the locked portion along a lateral direction of the buckle assembly when the second buckle component is mated with the first buckle component along a mating direction. The operating component is partially embedded in and partially exposed out of the second buckle component. The operating component is slidable relative to the second buckle component. The operating component drives the locking portion to move away from the locked portion for disengaging the locking portion from the locked portion during a sliding movement of the operating component relative to the second buckle component. The present invention has advantage of saving labor and easy operation.

The system and method duplicates a resultant hair color from a hair dye color mixture that was created using hair dye colors of a first hair dye color line using a different hair dye color mixture that was created using hair dye colors of a second hair dye color line. The system and method applies a modified Kubelka-Munk transformation of RGB values to the mathematical RGB data of the multiple hair dye colors for the first manufacturer color line, multiplies the modified KM transformed values of the multiple hair dye colors for the first manufacturer color line by their respective percentages and then summing them, and retransforms the summed modified KM transformed values of the multiple hair dye colors back into mathematical RGB values in the original RGB color space.

Lower ends of the two supporting rods are respectively rotatably connected to two ends of an opening of the U-shaped fixed rod. When the table board and the foot supporting frame are opened to be in an opened state, the U-shaped fixed rod is supported on ground with the opening of the U-shaped fixed rod facing forward, the two supporting rods are disposed obliquely with respect to the ground, and a side view of the folding table is Z-shaped.

A pump may be provided to transfer water from water supply containers to the CPAP machine reservoir. Each dedicated drawer provides openings to allow passage of air tubing, water hoses and power cords. The CPAP nightstand also has generic drawers for additional storage.

Abstract: A molded plastic spacer for securing a drawer slide to a cabinet panel. The plastic spacer may have one or more lugs extending orthogonally from a cabinet panel contact face and configured to interface with corresponding recesses in the cabinet panel. The one or more lugs may further include a tapered central bore capable of receiving a pin. Driving the pin through the bore causes the lug to expand such that a ribbed exterior surface of the lug engages with the cabinet panel and secures the plastic spacer in place. Each of the one or more lugs having space above the respective pin for robotically driving the pin.

Abstract: Aspects of dynamic workstation apparatus, methods, and systems are described. One aspect is a workstation apparatus that includes a frame including overhead frame elements defining a covered workspace. The apparatus may include a raisable and lowerable work surface that may be configured to be movably attached to the overhead frame elements and may be selectively positionable in the covered workspace at a plurality of different vertical heights including a standing height and a floor height. A first actuator may be attached to and operable with the frame to move the raisable and lowerable work surface between a range of movement including the standing height and the floor height while maintaining an orientation of the raisable and lowerable work surface relative to the frame such that the raisable and lowerable work surface may remain relatively level. Aspects of related methods and systems also are described.

The bed frame may comprise one or more supporting members for supporting at least a portion of the bed frame, wherein the one or more supporting members comprise: a first bar comprising an opening; a second bar comprising a groove having a first end and a second end; and a locking mechanism comprising an elastic element and a pin. The pin may be inserted into (i) the opening of the first bar and (ii) the groove of the second bar to couple the first and second bars together. The first and second bars may be movable relative to each other when the pin is moved from a first position to a second position in response to a force applied to the elastic element.

Abstract: A foldout bed is described. The foldout bed has a left side wall, a right side wall, and a top panel that extends between and attached to the top ends of the two side walls. The bottom end of each side wall is coupled with a counterbalance mechanism. A bed tray is pivotally coupled with a the counterbalance mechanisms and is transitionable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The bed tray provides a unitary planar surface that is configured to support a mattress and a person when in the open configuration. Each counterbalance mechanism has a frame and a piston that attaches the frame to the bed tray. The frame has a base flange disposed perpendicular to the side walls and located at the bottommost end of the counterbalance mechanism against a base plate of the wall.

Adjustable thermal bed zones can be created with inflow and outflow flexible longitudinal air tubes which are inserted into a space between layers of bedding.
