  • Patent number: 11925432
Abstract: Provided herein is a system and method for mitigating premature light deactivation of light deactivated adhesive drapes. One aspect provides a system comprising a drape, an adhesive layer, and a release agent, where the system is adapted to be coupled to a tissue site and released therefrom upon or after exposure to an external stimulus such as certain wavelengths of light. The system may have a photochromic layer that may transition between a blocking transmittance state and a non-blocking transmittance state to block or allow certain wavelengths of light to pass through. Some systems may use a combination of a photochromic layer and a filter layer to prevent the adhesive from being exposed to deactivation wavelengths prematurely. Another aspect provides a method for application and removal of a drape using by removing one or more of a photochromic layer and a filter layer and applying light to the drape to deactivate the adhesive layer and promote easy, clean, and less painful removal of the drape.

  • Patent number: 11925435
Abstract: An intra-oral scanning device includes a light source and an optical system, and communicates with a display system. The device provides for more efficient transmission and capture of images. It integrates OCT scanning with RGB-based scanning. In operation, the device is used for recording topological characteristics of teeth, dental impressions, or stone models by digital methods and for use in CAD/CAM of dental restorative prosthetic devices. To that end, the RGB-based scan obtains surface data (e.g., a margin), while the OCT scan penetrates the surface. The two scanners operate from within the same physical housing and preferably at the same time such that only one scanning pass (to obtain all necessary data) is required. The 3D data obtained from the OCT scan is registered with the 3D data obtained from the RGB-based scan by virtue of being captured using a common return path.

Abstract: The present invention allows for non-invasive monitoring of the blood sugar levels in diabetic patients. At least one heat and waterproof applicator is applied to the skin surface by a dosage pressure. Temporal dynamics of physiological parameters of the local tissue region are measured under the applicator. Temporal dynamics of climatic parameters of the environment are measured simultaneously or before the beginning of measurement of physiological parameters in the monitoring mode. Further, enthalpy of tissue is calculated with account for the influence of climatic parameters. Magnitude of thermal effect of metabolism of the local area of living tissue is calculated on the basic thermodynamics equation, connecting enthalpy of tissue with variables of thermodynamic state. Relative changes in the level of glucose are calculated in blood, proportional to the value of the thermal metabolism of the local area of living tissue.

  • Patent number: 11925470
Abstract: A novel method for using the widely-used electroencephalography (EEG) systems to detect and localize silences in the brain is disclosed. The method detects the absence of electrophysiological signals, or neural silences, using noninvasive scalp electroencephalography (EEG) signals. This method can also be used for reduced activity localization, activity level mapping throughout the brain, as well as mapping activity levels in different frequency bands. By accounting for the contributions of different sources to the power of the recorded signals, and using a hemispheric baseline approach and a convex spectral clustering framework, the method permits rapid detection and localization of regions of silence in the brain using a relatively small amount of EEG data.

  • Patent number: 11925473
Abstract: A wearable physiological monitoring device is configured to determine a wearer's sleep intention. In particular, the device evaluates activity that might be objectively associated with awaking from sleep in order to distinguish between a wearer's intention to end sleep and transitory stirring or other intermittent activity occurring in the context of a longer sleep interval. By evaluating sleep intention more accurately in this manner, the device can advantageously request sleep analysis from a remote server in those instances where a user intends to end a period of sleep (so that this data can be available to the user more quickly), while avoiding unnecessary or redundant server-side processing of sleep data in those instances where a user intends to continue sleeping.
