  • Patent number: 11980847
Abstract: System and method for removing molecular contaminants from an air stream are disclosed. The system includes first, second and third filter. The first filter removes organic contaminants from an air stream passing through the first filter. The second filter is downstream of the first filter, is physically and chemically exchangeable with the first filter and removes organic contaminants from the air stream output of the first filter. The third filter, downstream of the second filter, is not exchangeable with the first filter or the second filter. The first position filter can be replaced by the second filter in the second position when the first filter in the first position becomes depleted as detected. A new filter in the second filter position is inserted. Replacing the depleted first filter with the second downstream filter reduces costs and waste while inserting the new filter in the second position ensures removing organic contaminants.

  • Patent number: 11980870
Abstract: A solid-supported Pd catalyst is suitable for C—C bond formation, e.g., via Suzuki-Miyaura and Mizoroki-Heck cross-coupling reactions, with a support that is reusable, cost-efficient, regioselective, and naturally available. Such catalysts may contain Pd nanoparticles on jute plant sticks (GS), i.e., Pd@GS, and may be formed by reducing, e.g., K2PdCl4 with NaBH4 in water, and then used this as a “dip catalyst.” The dip catalyst can catalyze Suzuki-Miyaura and Mizoroki-Heck cross coupling-reactions in water. The catalysts may have a homogeneous distribution of Pd nanoparticles with average dimensions, e.g., within a range of 7 to 10 nm on the solid support. Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions may achieve conversions of, e.g., 97% with TOFs around 4692 h?1, Mizoroki-Heck reactions with conversions of, e.g., a 98% and TOFs of 237 h?1, while the same catalyst sample may be used for 7 consecutive cycles, i.e., without addition of any fresh catalyst.

  • Patent number: 11980874
Abstract: An alkali metal ion modified titanium silicalite zeolite TS-1 for gas phase epoxidation of propylene and hydrogen peroxide and a preparation method thereof. The method includes: 1: preparing an alkali metal hydroxide modification solution containing a small amount of TPA+ ions; 2: conducting a controlled hydrothermal treatment on a TS-1 zeolite matrix by using the alkali metal hydroxide solution containing a small amount of TPA+ ions; and 3: conducting post-treatment on the hydrothermally modified TS-1 zeolite. In the washing process, the modified TS-1 zeolite wet material is washed with a low concentration alkali metal hydroxide solution; and alkali metal ions are reserved on the silicon hydroxyl of the modified titanium silicalite zeolite. The prepared alkali metal ion modified titanium silicalite zeolite has significantly improved catalytic performance in the gas phase epoxidation of propylene and hydrogen peroxide.
