Abstract: A motor vehicle electrical distribution system includes an upfitter power supply subsystem with overcurrent protection for tripping (opening) a solid-state relay when current drawn from a main electrical source by the upfitter subsystem impacts other priority electrical loads of the vehicle. Warnings/alerts are generated to inform the user (e.g., driver) of the tripping events, which may include real-time graphing of a recent history of events. In order to restore power to the upfitter subsystem, a voltage supplied by a supplemental battery (i.e., vehicle start-up battery) to the upfitter subsystem is monitored. If the voltage stabilizes then a voltage from the main electrical source is intentionally dropped to the stabilized value and the solid-state relay is re-closed. Then the main voltage is ramped back up to its nominal value. An automatic reset time may be added to delay the reclosing if the solid-state relay has been operated excessively.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing protections against catalytic converter theft. A vehicle may comprise Ultra-Wideband (UWB) anchors or sensors. The UWB sensors of a vehicle may be used to detect the relative distance and/or location of UWB-capable devices in close proximity to the vehicle. An assessment may be performed using the UWB anchors and/or other sensors to determine whether the presence of the unknown device is indicative of a threat to the vehicle. If a threat is detected, one or more protection steps may be taken.

Abstract: A distributing device for supplying pressurized liquid to individual cleaning locations of a vehicle is proposed, the distributing device defining individual positions into which a distributor is selectively adjustable relative to a housing in which the distributor is arranged and driveable. Here, the individual positions of the distributor include a multiplicity of distributing positions and a bypass position and a shut-off position. In the bypass position, the distributor forms a bypass for preventing a discharge of the liquid to one of the cleaning locations and for returning the liquid to a tank. By contrast, in the shut-off position, the distributor prevents both the discharge and the return. Also proposed are a liquid-distributing actuator, a cleaning device, a vehicle, and a method for operating the cleaning device.
